I first reviewed this Dairy Queen back in July 2014, when it was still cash-only. A lot has changed since then, and in a good way. They now accept multiple forms of payment, which makes a huge difference because most people don't carry cash anymore. Being able to tap or swipe a card here has definitely improved the overall experience. This location is truly seasonal. They open in early April and close at the end of October, and on a warm day, you will see steady lines of people stopping in for a cone, sundae, Blizzard, or quick treat. Everything is served outdoors, and the parking lot is large enough that you rarely have trouble finding a spot. My go-to order has always been the classic vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. They make it well, and it's consistently good. They offer doggie bowls, too, which is a nice touch, though the portion size is small for the price. In general, the prices here run a little high, and the amount of ice cream you receive can vary depending on who is serving. When management is on site, you can sometimes tell the portions are more controlled. Still, the staff is always friendly and the service is quick. This DQ doesn't sell hot food, but if you're looking for soft serve, sundaes, Blizzards, or frozen treats, it's a convenient and reliable stop in Salisbury. The updated payment options, friendly employees, and easy parking make it worth coming back each season. A solid four stars, mainly because of the price and quantity inconsistencies, but overall it's a great place to grab a simple ice cream treat on the North Shore. read more

When anyone asks, I tell them DO NOT GO HERE!! I've been to Dairy Queens from coast-to-coast and this is - beyond a doubt - the absolute worst DQ I've EVER been to! It's been that way for years and when it was recently sold to new owners (finally!) I was hoping it would improve, but unfortunately that didn't happen. And why is that? Because they are CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!! You buy a S'mores blizzard and it is supposed to have 1)ice cream, 2) crushed graham cracker, and 3) marshmallow (yes, that's part of a s'mores!) filled chocolate candies. That's what DQ lists as is components and that's what you'll get at any other DQ. Here, you get ice cream, maybe a little marshmallow sauce, and that crappy choco chunk stuff they have. (Doesn't even taste like real chocolate.). Forget about the graham or filled chocolates. I guess they don't think we'll notice. The soft serve ice cream here isn't the usual tasty creamy dessert either. I don't know what they do, but it tastes like they are cheaping out here too. It's not rich and creamy like it's supposed to be. I guess they don't think we'll notice that either. And, of, if you order a milkshake, again, don't have high expectations. It's basically a crapshoot whether you get enough syrup in it to flavor the watered-down (with plain milk) vanilla ice cream. The three takeaways here: CHEAP, CHEAP, and, of yeah, CHEAP. Customer service was horrible I asked for a large vanilla ice cream with chocolate Jimmies paid by credit card I got the ice cream no Jimmie's I said could you put the Jimmy's on they said that will be $.50 more so I said OK let me bring the ice cream to my grandson they said no get your money first. And my ice cream I asked for three things and I only got one this is the third time it's happened I thought this was a horrible way to do business when you've been there several times and they don't trust you to go to your car to get $.50 so this will be the last time I go to Salisbury to Dairy Queen read more

My mother was sad for the lack of DQ in NH so I looked up the one in salisbury. Yay not only that lovely familiar window but ample parking and a few picnic tables to lounge at...... but beware in the summer by dusk its prob. bug central due to the mini swamp near some picnic tables. by day thou swamp was cool. I am certain everyone has their DQ fav but I suggest the Hawaiian blizzard the tasty fruit & creamy vanilla are a cool combo. they have a cash only policy so stop and grab some before pulling over. read more

This Dairy Queen is the worst Dairy Queen i've ever been to. I dropped my blizzard & the manager didn't give me another blizzard. Not only did he not give me another blizzard but he was quite rude about it, the only thing he cared about was the icecream ruining the grass. Also the cup said "upside down thick", which is clearly not true. Very bad service & I won't be returning save yourself from the horrible manager. read more
