The "Apple of my Chai" brunch bev was refreshing, aesthetically pleasing and DELISH! The Lobster Benny could have used more hollandaise, but other than that everything was absolutely spectacular.

Also a surprise, was the amount of LED Christmas lights strung from every single corner it could be nailed to, providing the strangest throbbing glow on all of the patrons, and the extremely underseasoned food. Our waitress was friendly, and nervous, repeating herself multiple times every time she swung by the table. The food came out extremely fast and was generally well received, but in that way, generic bar food is always a crowd-pleaser. My dad loved his burger and fries, and the table loved the cheese curds (cubes), but my Panzanella salad with shrimp was tragically underseasoned, with giant cold, limp cornbread croutons that would have been a million times better toasted, and my chili and my wife's mac & cheese were about as bland as it gets. We'd happily come back if someone asked us to meet them, and I'm sure we'd generally enjoy ourselves if we did, but I can't say it's very unlikely I'd be a regular if I lived in the area.

This review is only based on getting hamburgers. My daughter and I enjoyed a hamburger from this…read morerestaurant. The patty was done fine and seasoned well. The toppings were satisfactory. Overall a good experience. Nice for a quick bite to eat. Kid friendly. It was nice to get a hamburger not from a big chain restaurant or a lengthy sit down establishment.

Typically,…read morewhen a place primarily does ice cream, I don't have high expectations for their other food. I also wasn't a huge fan of the non-dessert food at the place that previously occupied this location. Earl's surprised me, though. I got the regular cheeseburger. The patty was cooked exactly the way I like it, and the meat blend had a surprisingly good flavor, since I would assume that a quick service place like this would probably be using frozen, pre-formed patties. If Earl's is using pre-made patties, they seem to have found some really good ones. My only minor criticism of the burger is the onions. I took them off without eating them, but they looked to be raw onion, and they were cut pretty thick. Some people might enjoy that. For me, I would prefer that they either sweat the onions, or dice them up very small. Either way though, it was a pretty good burger, considering it came from a drivethrough ice cream place. The fries were really good, too. I would say they were similar to the style of fries you get at Wendy's and Five Guys. So, they're about a quarter inch thick, lightly salted, with a little bit of skin on the ends. Obviously, there's a pretty big difference in quality between the fries at Wendy's and the fries at Five Guys. I would say Earl's fries were better than Wendy's by a good amount, and probably close to as good as Five Guys, but not quite. I don't eat fried cheese, because that's a young man's game. My wife does, though. She says there are two kinds of breading / batter that places use. Earl's apparently does not use the same type that Parlor City used. According to my wife, the Parlor City kind of breading / batter is the better kind. She liked the burger, and absolutely loved the fries, though. So, we both left happy. Overall, Earl's was really enjoyable. It was also fast, and reasonably priced. It's not exactly Michelin type food, but I'll definitely be back.

Jackpot! What a great find. Running into town for a concert…read moreand wanted something quick not near the venue. Only a couple cars in the parking lot on a Tuesday evening but the waitress behind the counter was all smiles. We told her it was our first time and she recommend the burger for the first time over everything else. All the toppings on the list are included and free. I actually was so excited about this. I told her more of what I didn't want to make the list shorter. I got the 1/4 ,patty, all the toppings minus raw onion. Picked my sauces. There was a fry big enough to share with the hubby and he got the Fiend size burger. They have Coca-Cola in glass bottles which was fantastic. The food came out fast and tasted amazing. Nailed it for the burger department. If we lived closer we would be here again and again. Yelp app also had a free scoop of ice cream for them. I think we were the first to see it . Lol

The reason BurgerFiend burgers are better than your average burger joint is they fresh grind and make their own Pattie's. My second tome here I ordered the Fiend Burger with just lettuce tomato and Ketchup so I would be getting a pure taste of the burger. This burger reminds me of what my dad would have thrown on the grill - minus the lighter fluid flavors. I also ordered an order of onion rings pictured here and again not sure if they are made here or brought in frozen but they are wonderfully flavorful and the fact that they tasted handmade (if they ate frozen) speaks to quality of product. I received great service and was impressed to see the owner interacting with some of what I could tell were regular patrons. Living nearby, I might just become one myself. I really enjoyed chatting up the staff and finding out what is on deck for new flavors and food. If you like a hood local place check out BurgerFiend.

The vibe of Hip-Stir ha always been cool and kinda niche and this was no exception. If you don't know that they changed up their menu.. they did. It's not bad by any means, but I am pretty heartbroken about them removing the Spinach Artichoke dip. It was the best around and I'll be overjoyed when it returns. The new menu still features ramen, sandwiches and other yummy dishes. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese with my entree and the food was out in about 20 minutes which is great! Unfortunately my Mac and cheese was forgotten- our server apologized and went to "get that started", no worries. The next time our server was at our table I inquired about it again since it had been about 10 minutes, but she had forgotten yet again. She rushed back to "get it started", ok. At this point everyone was getting full and I didn't even want it anymore, but she returned a few minutes later with it. A little frustrating. The ramen has changed, unfortunately. My sister ordered the spicy pork (which has historically been amazing) and didn't even finish it, which is pretty weird for her lol. I tasted nothing but soy sauce and spice. I'm not sure where the aromatics went, but they need to bring them back asap. Don't order the carrot cake. It was served over coffee (yes, hot coffee) which ruined it. The cake was overly soggy and tasted of nothing but the coffee flavor. I'm sure it would have been great without it, the frosting looked great. I'll probably be back and love supporting the Fun not Fancy group in CR, but last night was a miss.

I also enjoyed being able to enjoy the Tinsel pop up decorations as well.
