I have a friend who is an absolute Crumbl fiend and as such, have become a hesitant fan myself. I tend to prefer more traditional flavors, which are in short supply at Crumbl, but any version of their chocolate chip is good enough for me. Warm cookies are just so decadent. We like to get delivery to bars when our friends are playing shows and that's just my ridiculous cherry on top for the whole experience. Places, businesses are extremely short staffed lately, so before writing negative reviews I hope some of you give these businesses some grace. They're really trying. With that being said, my husband and I went Saturday morning right when they opened around 8-8:30 time frame. Our cookies were warm, huge and absolutely delicious. We couldn't wait till we got to the car! I've never had Crumbl before but they were super good. The dough is nice, it doesn't taste "sandy" like some places and the chocolate chips were nice and big and melty. They also had a blueberry muffin this week and it was to die for! Crumbl Cookies just opened today in Cedar Rapids. It's the first store of the franchise in Iowa and I'm SO excited!! Their cookies are made fresh, so they're hot and delicious when you pick up. They are melt-in-your-mouth-good. Their flavors change often, so what you may have today may change next week. It makes you want to come back for more. Staff was super friendly and happy to show off your cookies when you pick up. Space is small, but it's a quick in-and-out shop. It's not really meant to stand around and hang out. There's no seating, but that's okay because you are in a big hurry to leave and start to chow down on your cookies!! read more

The cookies are good but with the ridiculous begging for tips has me leaving 1 star. You place your own order via a kiosk then they give you your cookie. It's absolutely ridiculous the amount of solicitation there are for tips especially given that there is no extra service being provided other than being given a cookie. Why not tip the cook at McDonald's? Also the margin on one of these extremely expensive cookies has to be astronomical. Somehow this place is even better in CR than in California where we first tried it. To those who complain about tips, that's just the way things are now in most of the country. All places are moving towards tip options. (Even Starbucks!) Just don't leave one. Yes, the cookies are huge and expensive and they are also so delicious! Let me begin this by saying this is my first negative yelp review ever!! In 4 or 5 years of yelping!!! I placed an order for pick up at 240pm to pick up at 530pm. My card was charged at 240pm. I "got in line" on the app at 532 it was 6pm before they called my name; just for them to tell me that they don't have all the cookies I ordered & paid for. Of course I don't want different ones but I've been held in line for a preorder order for more than 30 minutes just give me whatever. However the feeling of being held hostage by the fact that I've already paid for this order 3 hours in advance, mixed with not having that which I was already charged for 3 hours before hand, left myself and others in the building feeling lied to and taken advantage of. Welcome CRUMBL to Cedar Rapids, IA!!! Cookies were great!! It was a bit of an ordeal getting them. We put in our mobile pick-up order at 10:30 am. Understanding that this is their opening weekend and all the staff are still getting used to their new workplace we were expecting a longer then usual wait. Although, 4 hours later.. We still have not gotten the 2 cookies that I ordered from the morning and we have been seeing many people with dozens of cookies get in and out. Made me wonder about 3 hours in that maybe I should call the store. I called the store asking what the current wait-time was and if maybe since my order was very pretty simple, that I could just come in and grab them. They told me that was fine!! And that I could make my way to the line outside. At this point I'm a little frustrated because It is very cold and the whole reason I put in the mobile order was to avoid standing outside the store in another line! When we get in front of the store you could see their were two lines and one person trying to designate the online order side vs the walk-in line. At this point you can see that they are letting in multiple people (who didn't order prior) in while they still had multiple online orders waiting that were placed from hours and hours ago. How is that fair?? One employee came around and asked the online ordered line our names and they wrote them in a binder to identify who had been there the longest (I'm guessing) which I dearly appreciated, thank you. Afterwards, I was picked to go in next. But, by the time we got inside the store, 1 out of the 2 cookies we ordered ahead of time were sold out, unfortunately. Thankfully it wasn't a huge deal breaker for us, but it was definitely very bumming after the long wait for it. I will say, I really did appreciate one of the employees being so kind, attentive, and patient to us. I'm pretty sure they were the one that answered the phone when we called and they were very informative, and helpful. Giving us our cookie that opened the box in front of us and asked if everything was too our liking. It's the small things Thankfully after the whole ordeal of waiting we finally got what we came for!! Crumbl Cookies!!! Overall the cookies won me over. They tasted great, and I can't wait to come back again soon. Also don't get me wrong! I'm definitely giving the staff at least the benefit of the doubt. They had very high traffic. I'm sure it was stressful, confusing, and they worked their butts off to get us all what we came there for. This review is meant for constructive criticism, and a bit of a praise, really!!! I just hope in the future staff and management can learn to communicate more with their customers when they are experiencing longer wait times and if they want online orders to wait outside or not, you know? Anyway, but if you're a customer: At least for the first month while they are still new, I recommend you call them when you get their. I ordered 200 small catering cookies ($285) and didn't look at them until I set them out for our wedding reception. When I did, I discovered they were raw!!! I just called the store to complain and the person that answered said all the cookies are baked for 7.5 minutes. What?!?! No apology, no offer to correct the problem, just complete denial. I bagged the cookies and had put them in the freezer, so offered to bring them in to prove to her they are raw. She told me to go ahead and we could discuss further at that time. Now I have to make time to drive 45 minutes to argue my case! If you go on the corporate website, they direct you to the individual store. There clearly is no remedy there. I will say that I have gotten delicious Crumbl cookies from the Dubuque store and have not had this issue. The problem is specific to this store. read more

To start off, walking in i expected an employee to greet us. Not even a hello, they didn't acknowledge us. I understand you use the tablets to order yourself, but there were like 5 employees at the front. They were all working hard but at the same time, they should be greeting their guests. felt very unwelcomed. bathroom was out of order as well, but what can you do.
