Thursday 5/2/2024…read more This ice cream spot has 2 permanent flavors (vanilla and chocolate) and 2-3 different custard flavors that rotate daily. The service was solid. I sampled the vanilla, chocolate, and a limited daily flavor called blueberry cheesecake. If I was ranking flavors I'd say: first blueberry cheesecake, then chocolate, and then vanilla. I ended up getting a brownie sundae $9.81 and small blueberry cheesecake cup (with a cone) $4.69. The blueberry cheesecake was good and unique but the brownie sundae dropped the ball for me. It was decent (taste wise) but the portion size was significantly smaller than what I was expecting with a near $10 price tag. I'd hope next time that they fill up the bowl a lot more instead of shorting me but it is what it is. Even though I was really disappointed with the portion for the nearly $10 sundae, this is still a solid ice cream spot that I would be open to returning to (especially if they have a cookies n cream custard flavor available).

I ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with tots and a cherry slushie (my go to order). I have to say, the burger itself was very good! I would even so it is better than 5 Guys. The slushie - also amazing. The tots were good, but a little too salty for me. Plus, they give you some peppermint candies as an additional treat - so cool! I just did the simple drive thru where you park your car and press the red button and the order comes to you! I wish there was a Sonic closer to me, haha. Overall, a solid place and definitely would come again if the location was closer. The only downside for me, was the restroom itself needed to be cleaned a bit more. Other than that - a great place!

Of course the excuse was "we are short staffed" if that's the case why did I see a person get an order at the carhop next to me when they arrive after me. Not to mention the multiple drive thru orders. My DoorDash order was 2 orders of French toast sticks and a cold brew. Nothing extravagant or hard to make and clearly nothing that should take remotely 10 minutes.

The food itself is good; not extraordinary, but definitely good. The one staff member on duty taking care of the front of the house seemed a little overwhelmed having to take care of the three couples in the restaurant. He definitely tried his best, but he could probably use some additional training. I would also recommend playing something different on the television in the restaurant, especially if children or those who aren't comfortable with swearing are present. It looked like music videos were playing and, with the captions, the lyrics were pretty sordid. I'm not easily offended, but I remember thinking that some parents and others might feel uncomfortable seeing those kinds lyrics being displayed while eating their food.

But it is nice to see that there is a bigger, more convenient one right off the highway now. We pulled in here to refuel. Not necessarily refuel our vehicles, but to refuel ourselves. It had been a long exhausting past few days for us and we were in the home stretch here. We went in and a used the facilities, grab drinks, snacks off the shelves, and hit up the MTO machine. We quickly moved about in here and were back outside in no time. It is a huge Sheetz and most likely will be around for a long time. Plenty of pumps, ample parking, seating inside and out. No reason not to stop here.

Customer service isn't anything to rant about but nobody's been rude or disrespectful to us ever and we've been ordering from here for several years now. The price for a large cheese pizza is around $15 so it's on par with prices at other pizza places in the area. One caveat: Recently I ordered a pizza from here and noticed the dough was rolled out thinner than usual and that the mozzarella cheese changed to a noticeably lower, less sharp and buttery tasting quality. Don't know if it was a fluke and the usual vendor was out of stock on the brand of cheese they usually get, but if it turns out that they're cheapening the pizza ingredients to save money I'll be really disappointed. This seems to be happening all over town at the establishments we patronize. In conclusion, I definitely recommend ordering pizza from here for parties, a last minute dinner solution, or for game nights. Usually, there's a 2 large 1-topping special you can take advantage of--just ask what the special is when you call to place your order.
