I've been comimg to this DQ location for many years and TODAY was absolutely HORRIBLE, it's Friday afternoon and no one was around. I should have turned around and left as soon as the young man taking my order asked me 3x's in row what I wanted. Then he grabbed a banana boat receptacle, I knocked on the glass and yelled I WANT A BLIZZARD. He then proceeded to ask me 2 additional times what I ordered. There was a young girl standing behind the counter and I asked if there is a problem with this young man she answered..."he's new"... I said OK, maybe you should help him. She proceeded to do what ever she was doing and asked to stand at the next window. I might add there was only 1 other person behind me waiting to order. I will stop by next week and show the fruits of this young mans attempt at making a BLIZZARD. What makes this worse it was for my wife and she is still complaining 1 hr later. read more

Pretty solid DQ with plenty of options. Creamy ice-cream, not too sugary and generous portions. My favorite is the espresso chip ice-cream and it never disappoints. Excellent on a hot day like today. They also have a few clean tables to sit at during an evening sunset treat. Unlike other Dairy Queens, this location also has an ample parking. Great location right off of route 130, friendly staff and good selection and open year round! Oh, and the other two ice cream shops worth trying are Halo Pub and Bent Spoon in Princeton, NJ area. read more

I'm always down for Dairy Queen no matter if it's cold outside or not. I got the cotton candy blizzard, orange Julius, and the dip cone. I enjoyed the dip cone, very delicious. Soft serve vanilla with chocolate, perfect combo. I'm glad this place has orange Julius because some dairy queen locations don't have orange Julius drinks. My least favorite was the cotton candy blizzards. Pretty sweet and it doesn't taste like cotton candy. read more

Soft serve chocolate in a cup..... vanilla cone dipped in that chocolate glaze that has probably been around since the Clinton administration and a Blizzard.... Brain freeze in a cup. This Dairy Queen does not have an inside. But there are plenty of picnic tables outside to sit at. They do serve hot food, but it's literally just hot dogs and one or two other things. Everybody's friendly and quick at taking orders. Compared to other chains, I think Dairy Queen is at the top, mainly because of their huge menu of unique creations. read more

I've been going to this dairy queen for the longest time. Its a popular due to it being located right off of route 130. Its typically busy during dinner time. I like that the hours change in the summer and this DQ is open until 11p.m. or 11:30p.m. The staff is really fast and efficient. They're usually pretty friendly. The prices are reasonable, and they only have outdoor seating. My favorite ice cream to get is a small cherry dipped cone with vanilla ice cream. Also, I lile getting a small vanilla cone witb rainbow sprinkles. May be simple, but of those ice creams bring me back to my childhood. I like the mini strawberry cheesecake blizzard. I think its the perfect size and this particular type pf blizzard comes with real bits of cheesecake, which is absolutely delicious. read more

East Windsor DQ is the best one you'll ever visit! Staff is super quick and friendly. Owner is the absolute best man out there -- always giving proceeds to charity and working with the community. The prices are some of the lowest you'll find compared to any other DQ and that is on purpose. They accommodate to all people (great with nut allergies) and offer hard ice cream unlike many other locations. Plus, open ALL YEAR 'ROUND! It's the old fashioned barn shape too since it's been around for 50+ years; it's an original and provides for great nostalgia. It's a staple of this town. Solid. As others have mentioned, there is no inside to this store. There is outside seating but no air conditioning, no restrooms, and no frills. It was kind of charming to see one of these old school cool locations. Pricing and menu is pretty standard -- even with the different location setup, DQ must retain some aspect of homogeneity across its locations. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. We come here very often for ice cream and this weekend they saved me. I went to ColdStone and ordered a cake a week ago. When I picked it up it looked like a 5 year old wrote on it. After getting my money back I went over to Dairy Queen. The women behind the counter showed me the cakes they have and within 10 minutes I had a BEAUTIFUL cake to serve. She did a wonderful job and the cake was delicious! It's nice to see the old style Dairy Queens still in existence. The ice cream is very good, as are the prices. Definitely prefer to come here as opposed to Ritas, Coldstone, or any other ice cream chain. Coming to Dairy Queen just feels a little more authentic.
