Remade Chocolate Brownie Extreme that the teenage staff call "quality product"

Do NOT go to this location. This location has always been terrible but tonight took the cake! This site is known for giving customers raw chicken and undercooked hamburgers, but their watery and incorrect Blizzards are my favorite. I truly love going there to have teenage staff laugh at me when I kindly point out their error. I also love that they tell me that their liquidity product isn't how Blizzards are supposed to look. Remember that upside down Blizzard campaign? I guess that was just my imagination. Remember, ice cream should always be completely liquid and unmixed with only a quarter of the required toppings - because that's what the franchise owners call quality!

Seating is much better than Newington!

I love blizzards! I got the Hawaiian blizzard here, a large, don't judge, and I swear it had more of everything here! More fudge, more bananas, more strawberries and more pineapple. While this is a great thing, I realized that I don't particularly want mine that chocolatey. I always thought I was missing out when my blizzard with fudge was pretty vanilla looking, but now I know I prefer it that way. This location also has a drive thru and lots of seating, I liked the location a lot. I also realized I can make a convenient stop here taking back roads between Savers in Newington and Savers in Meriden, in case you ever decide to do such a thing and need DQ along the way. Oh, I didn't love the obnoxiously loud speaker she shouted at me through, but I suppose you don't need privacy like at a pharmacy. She also forgot to give me my change until I reminded her that she owed me some, and luckily did give me the right change for my $20! That was almost one very expensive blizzard! All ended well.

DQ is always a favorite. This location is great. There is a very large fully fenced patio. A long trough for drive through patrons. And more than ample parking for the after the game rush. The food here has been high quality and the staff have been friendly. This is a very kid friendly location.

Cool treats... Blizzard with cookie dough and Reader's.

This is excellent home made ice cream that has just enough creative flavors to satisfy the curious but has established the standards with a high quality to draw the purists. I loved my mint Oreo ice cream and cookie dough flavor too. The s'mores was not overwhelmingly sweet and had the right mix of marshmallow, graham cracker and chocolate. Service was quick and friendly. Seating is fine outside but we saw a lot of people eating in their cars. Still loved this place. Big thumbs up.

Pulled into the old Marlin Rockwell industrial site, converted to small businesses…read more Be careful of potholes when you pull in, and the layout is a little different. On the far right of the old conversion of the building, sits Lacroix's ice cream shop When I parked in front of the building, there were no cars and looked closed, even walking up to the building. There's a small "open" sign displayed in the window, but with the dark tinted windows and doors, it looked closed. Checking the sign showed that it was open, closed on Mondays. I pulled on the door and....oh my goodness the place was open! Surprise! Greeted warmly by the staff, a quick look at the menu and I ordered one scoop of black raspberry chocolate chip ice cream, and one scoop of S'mores As my two scoops of ice cream was being prepared, the nice young lady at the front rang me up. It was a little over six dollars for the two scoops plus I left a 20% tip so I'm thinking this was some around eight bucks. They do take tap and credit card pay. Once I received my ice cream order, I proceeded outside to sit at one of the picnic tables on the right hand side of the business This little area is interesting, as it was at one time an industrial manufacturing facility, and the owners don't seem to be trying to make it welcoming. So this business installed a few picnic tables and flower boxes, who h made it somewhat inviting. But I'm still sitting in the parking lot. The s'mores ice cream was so creamy, marshmallow based with a lovely creamy, delightful, vanilla ice cream, graham crackers and pieces of chocolate chips added. This choice, as I was told, is of the more popular choices . I would strongly suggest trying this flavor out. Now, the black raspberry chocolate chip ice cream was some of the best I ever had. So creamy, so raspberry, so chocolate, so sweet! Plus, I loved how the s'mores melted into this flavor, making a wonderful combination in that cup. This place is a great destination if you want ice cream in Plainville. I just wish it was in a better location. As I was sitting there eating my ice cream, the place did start to fill up with guests I don't like the plaza location that it sits in, it seems a little too industrial and not welcoming. I didn't like that the place looked closed. Maybe a lighted open sign would work better. I didn't like the perceived snap from the manager, when I said, the place looked closed when I walked in the place. He was argumentative to a point. I loved the ice cream. Homemade and on point, some of the best in central Connecticut. I love the way the inside was decorated, and the easy to read wall menu I'll come back. Hopefully I can see a nice flashing or illuminated "open" sign in the window. I think that would benefit the business a lot.

Probably one of the coolest ice cream experiences that I've had. For those who don't know, Nitro Cream & Crumbz makes there ice cream for you on the spot using Liquid Nitrogen blenders. It essentially freezes the mix on the spot. A cool process that yields much creamier ice cream (that I read and in person confirmed). This isn't just your typical ice cream scoop and plop experience. During the experience, cool smoke from the liquid nitrogen fills the area as they stir your selected ice cream flavor. The process of the employees adding the ingredients is done all within your line of sight for a full investment into your delicious treat. The flavors are FUN and the end result is visually appealing to eat. I myself got the HOLY CANNOLI which had Riccota vanilla ice cream, crushed cannoli shell, dark chocolate and white chocolate chips wrapped in a spongy bubble waffle. It was delicious and creamy (as you hope from doing your homework on Liquid Nitrogen ice cream ). The staff were extremely friendly, bubbly even and helped explain popular options for a first time Nitro ice cream eater. Best part of this whole thing is having so many other great flavors left to try on my next trip. Highly recommend and prices are VERY reasonable (some might argue a little low for the experience you get).

It was empty at 2 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon, but someone was ready to help me right away. I needed a minute to decide from their impressive selection of creative flavors, ultimately passing on things like coffee cookie dough & tagalong. The most notable part for me is that they offer a frozen flight for only $7 that is 4 small scoops, a perfect way to try a few different flavors without having to fill up. I hate when you have to spend more to buy extra ice cream you don't want just to get a second or third flavor. I chose the key lime pie, cow tracks, pb & j, and Dubai. The latter was an easy favorite. I appreciated the inclusion of the katafi. I liked all 4, I would just say pb & j was an easy last place. It didn't have as strong a flavor as the others. I wasn't personally as wowed as many foodie friends are, but I did really enjoyed my ice cream. It wasn't overly heavy either, which was great. So I do look forward to going back and trying more!
