Our family received our 3 blizzards already melted and watery despite a relatively quick serving time. the two soft serves my grandpa and my dad got melted basically on impact. It was more like milk than actually ice cream. never have i ever ate ice cream this watery. We asked a few others and they had the same experience with their ice cream. My poor grandpa got ice cream everywhere! when we asked the manager why the ice cream was so watery he replied with "what ice cream". my dad laughed in his face and he slammed the door closed, a pretty dick move, horrible manager, undertrained employees it's a shit show and dairy queen ann arbor. i recommend a huge management change on this one guys. read more

They had 10 minutes until close. There was three cars ahead of me when it was my turn in line. They shut down the drive-through so I parked my car. I went up to the window. This place is terrible. I worked there for a couple days and witnessed a worker grabbing a whole chunk of ice cream that had fallen out of a blizzard, and whipped onto the blizzard machine, and she put it back in the blizzard with her bare hands. I was given little to no explanation of what to do, and when I was a little confused and didn't know what to do, I asked the manager," sorry, what do you want me to do" and she responded with a rude not so forward answer. I was given and expected to finish all orders in 3 minutes on my first hour of working there. We weren't allowed phones on us, so when I accidentally went into work without putting my phone away, I went to the bathroom and got in trouble for "sitting on my phone". Overall terrible place, wouldn't recommend the ice cream, definitely wouldn't recommend working there, just go to McDonald's and get a McFlurry or a cone. read more

We rode our bikes in from Algonac State Park - I'm not a huge DQ fan, but the kids love it. We had cones and a some sort of brownie blizzard. Service was fast and order was correct. The view of the river is beautiful. It's a pretty safe bet that we will return when we're camping again. read more

After a long week at work, I decided to take my grandchildren to the local Dairy Queen. We sat at the drive through for 10 MINUTES before anyone greeted us and took our order. The headset was on and we could hear someone (I think her name was Misty) screaming at the teenagers working inside. As a grandmother I consider this highly inappropriate to be that aggressive towards children. To be quite honest, the teenagers were the only ones visibly working when I arrived to the window. Any who, when I placed my order the woman (Misty) signed. I ONLY ORDERED 4 THINGS! When we arrived to the window, we waited for 5 minutes before anyone opened it. Normally I am not this honest in a review, but this is absolutely disgusting and inconsiderate. I've seen teenagers run this place better than the 3 women are. This is the third time I have encountered horrible service this month, the first two times being with a woman named Bre who put strawberries in my blizzard when we clearly told her that my granddaughter is allergic. The other time was with Tina who obviously needs to learn some manners and proper customer service. read more

DQ is DQ. However, service is slow, prices are up, and the amount of ice cream you get is less than it used to be. Pretty skimpy on the sundae toppings, too. Used to get some on the bottom, as well as on top. Not anymore So got a pecan mudslide. It's now half the size it used to be. Had hardly any ice cream and all the toppings were on the bottom. Also ordered a small pineapple sundae and there was so little pineapple you could count the pieces. Medium New York cheesecake blizzard was only partially mixed. $14. Don't mind paying if quality and quantity is there. Really need to step it up. read more

Four stars might seem a lot for a DQ. But I add a star when a fast food place has something that sets it apart. This DQ advertises and uses koegel hot dogs. I got a polish sausage here and wished I'd gotten two. It's a walk up DQ that seems a bit cleaner than others in the area. There is also an eating are with picnic tables and a view of the water. So it would be a great choice on a summers day! If you aren't choosy and don't mind a chain ice cream store then this is the place to go in algonac! read more

It appears the owner of this establishment is not in business to make money because he has employees who don't care to make it for him. Ever since new ownership, Algonac Dairy Queen has gotten horrible! The blizzards aren't made the same-- not mixed and have almost NO ingredients in it. The older man, Norman, I think is the owner and is horrible with customer service and actually quite rude! Really sad since the alg Dairy Queen used to be the best!!!!! read more

The car in front of us ordered several items from the grill as well as several ice cream dishes. There were several cars waiting for over 10 minutes while they prepared the brazier items. They could better services the drive thru if brazier orders where handled at the front window. read more

I don't know what the other people are talking about. I have been to MANY Dairy Queen's and this is the best one. I have been coming to St. Clair for years and always stop by here. Great service and I love the food!! I am very picky when it comes to ice cream but this location does not disappoint. I love coming here!!! read more

Since the Algonac dairy Queen has been under new owners the place has gone down hill. They changed the Chilli topping and it is nasty. They have reduce the amount of blizzard mix and discontinued the eye candy they use to put on my kids ice cream. The wait is ridiculously long and the prices have increased. read more
