Always enjoy a good DQ! Visited here on Memorial Day and and got a new flavor: Oreo Brookie, and added mint to it (because I love mint!) Was super yummy and actually ended up getting upgraded from a mini to a small blizzard for free (hell yeah! lol). DQ will always be my go-to and favorite ice cream spot. read more

The food was good the restaurant was a dump. Many tables were unclean there was no ice in the ice machine and the service was slow.

First DQ of the 2023 year. Needed to get my chocolate chip blizzard (made with dip chocolate) and a touch of malt. Always get the mini because it's the perfect size. Takeout only (and line wasn't even too long- extra bonus). DQ and basketball was the perfect combo for dessert. Love these blizzards. read more

I'm going to give a good review to boost the average. Since the Apple Valley DQ closed, I went to this one on my way home from Rochester. I bought the small valentines cake that serves 3 people. My son whose birthday was yesterday is coming home on Friday. Also bought butterscotch dilly bars. These are not a great value anymore and aren't as thick as before. Shrinkflation. Also DQ got rid of grape in their Mr misty freezes. This was my favorite that I would get once a year as a treat. The cashier was nice. This DQ is sort of hidden behind McDonalds. Yeah kinda sorta terrible. Sat at the drive-thru for like 5 minutes with no one showing up. Went inside and saw there were like 5 people there so it wasn't due to understaffing, they just didn't notice/ didn't care for some reason. Still took about a minute or two of us standing and waiting for someone to take our order while I could see that they weren't all doing something. Customer service was meh, which is normally fine but like they really did seem to not be present in the moment at all. Also I'm not sure if this location participates in the blizzard flip or not but I asked about it (because the blizzard was not flipped) and was told by one of the kids working there (I'm guessing he was 18 or so) that the whole free blizzard if they don't flip it is a myth wholesale and doesn't exist, which I know is false and made me suspect if he was point blank lying to my face since he looked down at his feet when he said it. so yeah overall not great read more

Worst DQ I have been to. Avoid this place as a lunch option, even with adequate staff the can't seem to keep up. I got the lunch special and asked for my blizzard to be made right away because I knew I would have to wait forever if I didn't. They forgot and I had to wait forever. It probably didn't help they had one guy running the register and making all the ice cream. During lunch, you think they would have adequate staffing. I guess they don't like making money. I don't think corporate would like that day plan. When you have a job and only a limited lunch break, you need to get in and out in a decent manner. This place is not that place. This place is a filthy, hot mess. I have never been in a DQ that is so poorly run and managed. The pic I posted made me nauseated..it was so incredibly filthy. There were flies EVERYWHERE! I watched people walk in and see the mess, and walk back out. I stayed to see how it would play out, and I was absolutely amazed that this place is still open. We usually go through the drive through, and receive horrible service, but good ice cream. I have been given unripe , crunchy banana in my desserts. I have been given the wrong order, and when I mentioned I didn't order what they handed me they argued. I jokingly told one girl who handed me a blizzard, that she didn't turn it upside down so I should get a free one (DQ had a promo) ...her response? Rolled her eyes and shut the window on me. I was there with my kids and had the "buy one get one for 99 cents" coupon...the girl at the window was so mad because she didn't know how to enter it, so she tried to refuse to let me use it. It's just a ridiculous mess. Go to Apple Valley or Farmington, stay clear of this place. We pull up to the window and wait another 5 minutes. We get our banana splits and the blizzard. I get home and holy fuck? One banana split doesn't even look like a banana split. I went through the drive thru here tonight around 4PM and they were really backed up. I felt a little annoyed, but as I pulled up to order the young man working apologized for the wait and informed me that there were only two people working and they were running behind. The two of them were working their butts off and the one I spoke to still made the time to be friendly and professional with me. Our order came out neatly in a drink carrier. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that ownership is trying to improve service. It could be that they are not able to find reliable workers. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. If it were possible to give zero stars I would. They always take forever whether there are zero customers or 20. They always act bothered as if they're the customer and we should be asking them how we can help them. I always get a chicken wrap without ranch. I confirm the order, multiple times even, only for them to react annoyed that I would question them. The worst is when you forget to check your order prior to leaving only to making it all the way home to discover there is not just ranch but so much ranch you can't even see the chicken. Kudos on consistency, at least that's something we can count on? Let me add this as well...to fight I actually drove back to exchange the wrongly made order. The clerk at the counter was apologetic and nice, I feel like it would be unfair to mention that. However, the "cook" instead of automatically remaking it looked through all the orders on the order screen. I've been to this store countless times and almost every time there has been a problem with what I've ordered. On average it takes them over 10 minutes to give your food out and an additional 10 for the ice cream to be made. Most of the time the ice cream I get is always a soup because when they finish the ice cream they don't hand it out right away. I would have given a nicer review if I hadn't almost been beaten up and then told that I was the problem by staff. When I finished my order I payed in change as I had no paper or plastic way of paying at the time, and a customer was getting frustrated with me as the service was already slow. I ordered a Rocky Road royal blizzard with no marshmallow because I simply didn't like it. And one of the staff members told me that I would get what I would get. That made me angry. I said I better get fudge instead of the mallow and the customer behind me started to get in my face saying "lets take this outside". I didn't want a conflict so I tried to wait for the staff to help defuse the situation but was let down when no one helped. After a few minutes of him confronting me, one of the managers told me to leave and sit down at one of their tables while they apologized to the one who tried to fight me. Never once have I been so angry at a single establishment before. After all this went down, I still didn't get an apology from the staff or even the right ice cream. I asked for no mallow and guess what I got. Yup! Mallow! I asked them to remake it and the staff member who made it flat out said no. read more

When I arrived last night I thought the place was closed. There were 2 cars in the parking lot and the drive-thru was pitch black and empty. I chose the drive-thru and ended up waiting nearly 15 minutes for two large Orange Julius drinks. The employee kept remaking the mix for whatever reason and proceeded to wipe his hands all over his pants in between (after handling my credit card at the register as well). The only update I received was after 10 minutes when the manager (?) told me he was sorry the employee broke the cup and needed to remake it. Well, he had already been mixing two batches before he broke the cup, which only delayed him a few seconds as he could just get a new one (I saw the whole thing through the glass window). I've never eaten inside this location so I can't speak to the comments on the filth, but every time I go there the drive-thru wait is insane. There can be only one other car in the drive-thru and you'll still end up waiting at least 10 minutes for your food. If there are multiple cars in the drive-thru, I won't even waste my time because it takes longer to get through the line than my 30-minute lunch break. The only redeeming factor is that the food is usually good. read more
