It was blazing hot out and the young girls working were super sweet. They worked hard and did a great job assisting everyone quickly. There were 5 of us girls and we all enjoyed what we ordered. This Bruster's used to be top-tier. Now? It's like watching a slow meltdown literally…read more Over the past year, both the ice cream and service have taken a noticeable dive. I've had multiple visits where the "ice cream" was so runny it could've been served with a straw. If your scoop requires a soup ladle instead of an ice cream scooper, something's off. Pro tip: ask if the ice cream is actually set before ordering. Apparently, the concept of a set freezer is more of a suggestion here than a requirement. Bottom line, what used to be a go-to spot has turned into a gamble. I wouldn't recommend this location anymore unless you're specifically in the mood for a milkshake you didn't order.

If you are applying for Artic Sweets in Metter, Ga…read more 204 S E Broad St. Metter, GA 30439 Please expect to have an hour-long interview, and false information given to you..... Unless you are "state-certified" they will give you nothing other than 7.25 an hour no matter how many years experience you have. I was told I would be hired in at 8 an hour as long as I worked under 40 hours a week, and when I asked if I could have $0.50 more, or full-time I was told, "I'm going to ask my husband and I will get back to you as soon as I do". Instead of them getting back to me in the professional manner, she never got back to me at all. I WILL NOT GO BACK... THEY WILL NEVER HAVE MY BUSINESS... AND I WILL NOT NOW OR EVER REFER THEM TO ANYONE. It is highly unprofessional to handle your business this way, or handle other people who come in for interviews this way. Especially when I was promised one thing and then told something totally different. When I spoke with owner she talbe me, " I can give you is 7.25 an hour, unless you're State Certified", and I replied "But you said that I would be getting 8.00 an hour". She did not want to hear that and made every excuse to actually renege and retract what she said. Not to mention the fact that she and her husband whom I spoke to originally new that I was not State Certified which I divulged during my very first interview before my second as well as informing her at the view beginning of the second interview. How can a business owner expect to say small businesses make the community but you treat the community who comes in there looking for job as if they're some scum living on the streets and deserve no respect at all. Because when you respect someone you give them the common courtesy to do exactly what you say you're going to do. NO TOWN needs businesses like that... And then they Annie, the owner, deleted our conversation on Facebook... And then turned around and blocked me from the company site. And I am entitled a review just like the rest of the public... They were huge and really good. I got my same cone again for dessert but they were out of bananas so, no split for hubby (we had to go to DQ for that). TLDR; Good food, friendly staff, missing ingredients and inside seating not set up yet.

While visting my eldest daughter at college, I was assured, by more than one student, that THE…read moreplace for breakfast in Statesbourough was Daylight Donuts. I was fairly cautioned that it was not a full serve restaurant; but, they did serve breakfast sandwitches (makes sense for college folks on the go). Being the old guy who thinks he's cool, contrary to what my kids tell me, I had check it out. The first thing that struck me was the "take out only" sign on the door (they also have a drive through) which was fine with me; because heck, that's what breakfast sandwitches are for, right? The menu boasted of what you would expect: egg, cheese and your choice of breakfast meat ( or the combination, plus or minus, thereof) on a biscut. You have to know I went sausage, egg and cheese. Now to start, the biscut seemed more like a hamburger bun, oddly enough with the taste, and in fact, texture of a biscut. I really liked it; but, the jury is still out on what it actually was. In between were fresh whipped eggs (no runny yolk) dripping with cheese (reminiscent of melted Kraft singles) and a spicyer than average breakfast sausage. All in all, an interesting, and adequate meal for those on th go. Simply because the place is called Daylight Donuts, I decided to ignore the fact that my current physique is that of seven month pregnant woman, and try a donut...no wait, an apple fritter. After all, I could limit my intake to a few bites, just for research purposes. One whole fritter later, I'm here to tell you that each icing covered bite was joined by a bit of real apple, prompting me to check my fitbit to see if I was anywhere near my daily step goal. Clearly, this place is a local institution that has, in my view, earned the support it gets. The staff is fittingly cheerful and pleasant; and, the service is, appropriately, fast. My meal was less than five bucks, earning Daylight Donuts an additional star. So, skip the big name fast food joints, and grab your breakfast here.
