Was seated fast as they just opened and the server brought some chips, salsa, and ranch and took our drink order. Pro-tip, ask for half and half sweet tea, unless you prefer to get the beetus. Ordered a 3 item combo and selected the chicken tostada, enchilada, and chile relleno. The food was very tasty for South Boston, and adds a different rotation to the usual Southern fare. It is very hearty and cheesy, light on the spice and flavor, but that's to be expected for a rural Va culinary scene.

At the time of our visit, they'd only been open about eight months, and you could tell they're off to a solid start. The place was clean, nicely decorated, and felt up to date. Our greeter/waitress was warm and attentive, taking great care of us during our meal. The food arrived in a reasonable time, and while it didn't blow us away, it was enjoyable. We shared the Meat Lovers Stromboli and tried the appetizer platter, which came with fried mushrooms, zucchini, mozzarella sticks, and French fries. It was tasty, but I'd suggest rethinking the presentation a bit--maybe swapping out the fries for something more signature like fried green tomatoes, okra, or pickles (some Southern charm!) and giving the platter a name to match its character. All in all, it was a pleasant visit, and I'd be curious to return in the future to see how they've grown and fine-tuned their menu.

I won't knock the opinions of others but I will detail reasons why I will not order another salad here. 1. Iceberg lettuce only 2. Chicken is preformed rubbery-chicken patty cut into strips. You get a lot of it but it's not chicken breast and it's certainly not a secret recipe! 3. Shredded provolone on top has no flavor. 4. For almost $8, quality is not there. The salad bar that they offer has fresh ICEBERG lettuce, Remember Bacos? They have those on the line. Carrots, raisins, pineapple, tomatoes, cucumbers pasta salad tossed in what looks like mayo(yep, just plain rotini pasta), diced ham, pepperoni and croutons.
