We enjoyed the Miami vice and strawberry with some gummy bears. The lady at the counter was kind and patient with all our questions. Will come back soon! We usually go through the drive thru which is convenient for us. I believe inside there are tables and chairs for customers to enjoy their drink.

Being originally from Mississippi, the "home" of catfish, this place has the best catfish I've had since I've been in Houston. It has a clean flavor which is hard to find and it's fried to perfection. There isn't the leftover, lingering oil or grease. The fries are *chef's kiss* Collectively my family and I had edamame, fries, fried shrimp, fried catfish, oyster poboy, bang bang shrimp, hushpuppies, sushi and coleslaw. There was not one thing we ordered that I would not order again. The amount of food you get for the cost is economical. For all of that food plus three sodas and a beer, our bill was right at $120. Not only is the food great but the service is just as great. It is not heavily staffed but you never feel like you're rushed or overlooked. The food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait for fresh food. Even with little staff and cook to order food, the wait isn't long at all. You can't go wrong with them! 10 out of 10

You could tell they soaked them pretty well, they were extremely juicy. We also ordered the fried pickle chips and they were bomb -- crispy, flavorful, and not too greasy. A great start to the meal. The oysters were another highlight. Good size, super fresh, and had that clean, briny snap that oyster fans will appreciate. Everything tasted like it came straight from the Gulf (in the best way). Service was spot on -- super attentive without hovering, and everyone was friendly and helpful. My husband ordered a fried platter. While he just thought it was ok, the seafood was fried perfectly. I personally liked his meal. Only downside? Seating was a bit limited, especially if you come during peak hours. All in all, good experience. Great food.

First time visit to this small and excellent restaurant…read more Located at the corner of Fry Road and Mound Road it has a restaurant seating area of about 50 and a large bar area for 20 more. The menu is short but includes most of the classics. I had the Seafood Tacos and my wife had the Chicken Mole Enchilada. The tacos were surrounded by a flour tortilla (corn is also available) with fish that can be grilled or steamed. Packed with flavor from the onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and more I enjoyed every last bite. The plate included rice, beans, and sliced red onion. Delicious My wife loved her selection as well. The serving was big enough to take home what was not consumed allowing her an extra day to enjoy the mole. We also ordered a side of guacamole which was served as a huge rounded scoop on a plank. Don't get me started on the chips we used to eat every last bit of the guacamole. When we told our waiter, Jose, how much we liked the chips he gave us a bag to take home! I had some today and they were still crunchy with a hint of salt. Now to drinks: my wife had the house Pinot Grigio and I the house margarita which I ordered frozen with no salt. The margarita had a clear lime note but did not suffer from it. All in all we agreed that Carmelita's deserves a return visit next time Mexican food is our choice.

JB's reminds me of that good ol' neighborhood bar/pub. Yup gonna be cheesey here & say it: where everybody knows your name!! LOL But honestly I could tell it's a place full of regulars but they're nice to the new kid on the block too. Man am I so glad they hadn't run out of steaks when I finally made it. That has got to be one of THE best steaks I've had in a bar EVERRRR!! It was a true, thick cut, moist juicy ribeye. Perfectly medium as I asked. They've got to have one of those old school gas flame grills back there. The loaded baked potato & green beans that came with it were just as yummy. Oh and the drinks are great! The bartender Kathy was my fave kinda bartender: Great personality, knows how to make excellent cocktails, sweet smile & some light hearted trash talk to go with it. To top it off, plenty of screens for the games, pool tables & dart boards. Nice mix of music to go along with it. The only downside for me is smoking's allowed indoors. I smelled like Malboro 100's & my allergies gave me hell afterwards...but it was totally worth it! So yep, I'll be back. Yelp on my friends!

After a lot of back and forth my partner and I finally agreed on Le Emperor. Confined to the house, we were limited to placing an order for takeout or delivery. While I didn't voice my opinion at the time, I was concerned that the takeout experience would put a damper on the meal. I was wrong. The mango salad is now a new favorite of mine, and a dish I strongly suggest ordering. The flavors are bright, and acidic, sweet, yet savory. The dish hits all of the right notes. My husband ordered the vermicelli. It was his first experience with vermicelli and to my surprise he tackled most of the dish without adding the accompanying sauce. My salmon was equally satisfying. While we were sad to see the former business go, we're so happy to find Le Emperor a fitting replacement. We will be back!

Guuyyyyys, super disappointed!!…read more I used to live in the area and would visit ALL THE TIME! So much that the waiter knew my order and even my favorite seat! Went back today after many months and the food was super bland. Even the char grilled pork in the spring rolls was bland and also not as meaty as I remember. I didn't have time for a large pho so I asked for a small, which in my defense most restaurants have. Welp, not this one. Apparently, it's only large or Kids portion. Needless to say, my long anticipated dinner was unsatisfactory. The only thing that was as good as I remembered, the creme brûlée!! The service as always is so pleasant, they are always so friendly and kind. The environment as always quiet and welcoming with a touch of class.
