The inside of the ashta dessert wasn't dry (as it was well cream) but the filo wasn't good either. I've had their desserts several times and I've had this issue way too many times that it doesn't seem like a rare occurrence. Sure the prices are lower than Sahadi's but there's other better choices on the block for pastries (namely Damascus or Karkanni.) 3 for the spice/nut selection.

The market has a small seating area which is great for grabbing a quick bite or soft serve ice cream, in my case, near the ice cream station. I love black sesame ice cream and put my colleague on to it, and she loved it as well. It was a nice treat on a hot 80 degree day in NYC. This space is in a great location in Cobble Hill, not far from transit and shops. The best part is it's clean and well lit. Will return to try some of their prepared foods and packaged salty items.

Soy sauce condiment is available for purchase at $0.75. It is very well stock with inventory of Asian imported snacks, Asian ice cream, beauty products, home goods, including prepared hot foods tempura, teriyaki, ramen as well as sashimi/ sushi. Price is reasonable specifically in 2026 stagflation era. If my trek home was close to Chinatown I would surely purchase one pint of Matcha green tea ice cream.
