Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and it's nice to support a small mom and pop shop that opens the doors and allows us New Yorkers to have a connection to Middle Eastern culture and foods. The inside of the ashta dessert wasn't dry (as it was well cream) but the filo wasn't good either. I've had their desserts several times and I've had this issue way too many times that it doesn't seem like a rare occurrence. Sure the prices are lower than Sahadi's but there's other better choices on the block for pastries (namely Damascus or Karkanni.) 3 for the spice/nut selection.

The filling that was in the onigiri probably took up less than 10% of the entire piece. I was eating rice with a hint of spicy salmon with each bite. Had I known this, I would not even buy it despite being half priced. Do yourself a favor and just buy some white rice and add some soy sauce to it. It would have more flavor and substance than the minuscule amount of filling that they provide in the onigiris.

I love black sesame ice cream and put my colleague on to it, and she loved it as well. It was a nice treat on a hot 80 degree day in NYC. This space is in a great location in Cobble Hill, not far from transit and shops. The best part is it's clean and well lit. Will return to try some of their prepared foods and packaged salty items.
