The shakes made at The Fresh Monkee have proteins and other natural ingredients added to it. The pricing here is moderate and in line with area smoothie places. I stopped by The Fresh Monkee at the Webster Square Plaza in Worcester recently. I arrived here around 6:40 pm and I tried to order my smoothie on the Toast app (I have rewards points), but it kept crashing. I believe there is a cutoff time to place orders before closing time. I eventually went inside and had to order in person since I couldn't place an online order. Upon request, the staff entered my phone number and I got rewards points for my visit. I ordered the Mint Oreo ($10.25 plus tax), which was made to order and ready in about 8 minutes. The place also had several other customers ordering their smoothies before closing time. The place has an inviting setting with large soft armchairs & sofas & low tables in the front area and table seating along the wall across from the counter. I enjoyed my snack (24 oz) protein shake which had a blend of milk, vanilla protein, mint extract, marshmallows, Nutella, sugar-free chocolate cookie, sugar-free chocolate drizzle, topped with chocolate cookie crumbles. This creamy protein shake was not too thick with slightly sweet creamy flavors overall. I enjoyed this shake before heading to dinner in Worcester. I would return here again or at another Fresh Monkee location for another protein shake. The snack size shake was the right size.

The standout for me in the bowl was not only the fresh fruit but also the granola--it was very tasty and something about the texture that hit different from other açaí bowls I've tried. The staff were super friendly and patient during my visit as I tried to decide what I wanted to order--since they have so much different offerings. From açaí bowls, smoothies, mango bowls to name a few. On the downside, parking can be a bit of a hassle if you want to enjoy your bowl inside. However, I managed to find parking in the back of the building, which worked out fine. DONT PARK AT BURGER KING NEARBY--they do tow. Overall, I highly recommend Playa Bowls for anyone looking for a tasty treat.

The staff mentioned several items no longer available (cakes) and tres leches only frozen available to go. Didn't know how to make a strawberry or flavored matcha and my hot latte was below average. You could get a much better latte at 10 other places in Worcester. I had to repeat my order like 5x for the staff to get it so I assume theyre a bit inexperienced. My avocado toast however was a standout really delicious. It was also more pricey than expected and I often buy 7 or 8 dollar lattes. I was disappointed but if I was in this area I'd grab the avocado toast again - to go.

OK, I don't know what came over us, but we finally took the plunge and ordered from Salgabom…read moresnacks. It's a magical place with an atypical menu that combines fried cheese empanadas with smoothies and açaí bowls. It checked most of the boxes of my desires. Yes, you read that correctly, they have fried empanadas. They have vegetarian options of cheese and pizza, stuff with meat that didn't register with me, and banana caramel if you're in a sweet mood. We ordered the cheese but I will will admit that I was interested in the pizza one. I was really craving something fruity and refreshing so I ordered an açaí bowl with açaí sorbet covered in granola, banana slices, and honey. They come in small, normal, and super big. Tina ordered a dragonfruit which is the same exact thing as the standard one but with dragonfruit sorbet in addition. So gooooooodddddd. UPDATE: I found out just now, prior to my second order, you can choose TOPPINGS. They have a bunch of fruit options (cherries, strawberries, kiwi, GRAPES), chocolate, pb, choco chips!!!!!, chocolate "ball", chocolate SAUCE, m&ms, etc. One of the most popular items is something called mini snacks. I had no idea what that could possibly be but I'm intrigued by anything that's particularly popular on the menu. It comes in increments of 15, 25, 50, 100. This Even more mysterious now. What on Earth? What would someone want to buy 50 or even 100 of? We ordered 25 of them. The food came very quickly. The empanada was massive. Like it was double the size of my head. I got my hands on that sucker and I pulled it apart, revealing a nice string of cheese between the two sides. The açaí bowl was GREAT. The mini snacks. First impressions reveal churros in munchkin form. It's crisp on the inside and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. I bit into it. A warm filling was propelled into my mouth. Caramel. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW. holy shit. There are no more words. Now I understand who orders the 100 and it's me. I am at so glad for the existence of this place
