I have been a customer for several years now always buying a couple dozen crabs at a time. Some may remember me as "The crab lady" because I share with them. The seafood is excellent and price is reasonable. The owners are super nice and accommodating. They sometimes have crabs which are the best!!! It is seafood market strictly take out only. They do not do seafood platters just seafood that you cook at home. They have cleaned crabs you can get them cooked and seasoned with old bay, garlic spicy or not spicy and they do Italian style crabs. I try to go there often. No tables inside just a plain seafood market. When you call there you will sometimes get a busy signal or they do not answer the phone that is cause they are super busy and understaffed. read more

You could find fresher seafood...IF you go to the fish market in Philadelphia yourself! No farm raised fish here! I like to grow my own food. I know there a no pesticides in my family's food. I also want to know that there are no antibiotics or chemicals in my fish. No farm raised fish here! Why buy at the grocery store? They don't even know how long the fish has been in the case. YUK!! Went here today to satisfy my crab craving. Out of all the seafood markets in the area I perfer this one the least. Generally they are more expensive than most and the service is sometimey. Meaning sometimes its good and other times not so much. The owner has been a little nasty and seemed to be in a rush on more than one occasion whether it be on the phone or in store. They do have plenty of diff selections though assorted fish, clams, mussels, crabs, and seasonings. Everything is done on site as far as preparation and cooking. I have only ever had crabs from here and they have always been pleasing. The crabs we got today were a decent size for females. Crabs are hard to find this time of year and in the winter so Dad's gets props for even having them at all. If not for that they'd get 2*s. Even though they are a little pricey from prior experience, today at $10/dz. I cant complain. read more

Got 1 1/2 dozen of #1's cleaned and cooked today. Cost me $50 but was well worth it. The crabs were full of meat and cooked petfecr. The meat came off the shell easily. My brother wanted some crabs and this was the closes to us. I'm so glad we tried them for the 1st time. We had a dozen #2's cleaned and cooked. Everything here tastes like someone brought it in from a boat that morning. Try the fried oysters, you won't regret it. Especially buy a few dozen clams - you can't get any better. The calamari and fried clam strips are a little overdone, the french fries aren't spectacular, but they make a mean coleslaw. Mostly, though, go here for the live clams. Selection was a little light on our first time at Dad's and we found what they had a little pricey but it was good. We got a big portion of salmon ($12.99/lb.) and it was delicious! The fish and seafood is fresh and reasonably priced. They have a good selection, including crabs, fresh water shrimp, local oysters, and clams among other delectables. We love to make gumbo, so it was a treat when we saw that they had cleaned raw crabs for sale. Now we don't have to kill and clean the crabs ourselves, which is kind of a downer, we just rinse the already cleaned blue crabs and throw them in the pot. What a treat!
