The storefront in a gas station is slightly unassuming but dang these cookies are good. Customer service was great. Sad they were sold out of cookies and cream though. They're perfectly soft and gooey on the inside while having a crunch on the outside. Recommend! read more

These cookies are ridiculously good. One bite and you're addicted, well at least it is for me lol. The cookies are perfectly soft and each one has major flavor bombs. The cookies were still warm, so yeah that's a major plus. I told my wife I want these for my birthday - beats any cake imo. The staff is nice and friendly. The store is in a gas station but the place is clean and they have their own little section next to raw earth coffee. Enjoy! read more

This location is inside a day and night market. Decent parking and a great grab and go counter area . The ladies that work there are all super friendly and nice. When I first saw dad's cookies, I didn't think that I'd like them but boy was I wrong. It's probably bad we live so close ! These are my favorite of the giant cookies. They are really almost raw in the middle, and I love that. Always very friendly. The chocolate chip cookies are the best ones I have tried there and they're usually a little bit warm. They cost a lot, but they're hearty hefty cookies and you get a little discount if you buy four at a time. I also love that they have a drive thru option. Their 4-cookie boxes are also super cute. read more

I stumbled across the dad's cookies truck at river park one day and ever since then I've been a fan of dad's cookies. When I'm in Fresno I like to swing by to this location and get me some cookies. These cookies are fresh and have a good taste. My favorite cookie I've had there was a Cookie Monster cookie which is limited edition so they only make it for special occasions. This is not in your typical bakery, it is located at a gas station. That being said, I think I met "Dad" and he as friendly but tired. He gave me the quick run down the cookies. I think the class chocolate chip was excellent. I never tried the brookie. It was good, but it left an oily overcoat in my mouth. What I will say is that these bad boys are best warm! read more

These are absolutely 5 star cookies and they set the standard in the Central Valley. As a person with a real sweet tooth I can't believe I waited so long to try these. These cookies are the perfect combination of the perfect sweetness, crispy exterior, with a soft and moist inside. All flavors I've had have been good. They rotate around every 2 weeks. Been hearing some buzz about this past month about a dad baking delicious cookies during Covid and how they were so dang good that he opened a storefront. Husband and I happen to be driving through that direction of town and he wanted to stop for some coffee. Got in the store and saw a display of some delicious and super chunky cookies. That's when I saw the store sign and realized it was that very business I heard about. I wanted to support a local business and wanted to know if they lived up to the hype. I bought 6. Owner asked if we've had them before to which I told him no. He advised to pop them in the microwave for 15 seconds among some storage tips and to like and follow him on social media. Very nice guy!!!! I split his seasonal pumpkin snickerdoodle cookie with my eldest daughter and- OH. MY. LORD. It tasted like Heaven! And guys- I am not a big cookie fan. At all. Saw them at Riverpark Farmers Market but didn't get to try them until yesterday at a Fresno Street Eats Event in Clovis. There was a line but didn't take long till we were helped. The guy that was there was really nice and informative. They had a nice selection of cookies. They cost $3.50 per cookie. I ordered the last funfetti, one s'mores and one cookies N cream. They are very dense and heavy cookies. We didn't get them warm because they were premade in batches no big deal they were still wonderful. The inside is doughy. The flavors were all there these cookies are loaded. Such a delicious sweet treat. I highly recommend. read more

Dad's Cookies is really, really good. Especially if you are a stuffed, doughy cookie lover like myself. I first tasted a sample at a Yelp Elite event at Rare Earth Roastery in Clovis and I was hooked! I was super excited that they had a shop attached to the Rare Earth in the gas station location in Clovis. I put in a pickup order a few days later! I love that they have birthday cake cookies, when I'm really craving something sweet, that's my go to flavor. I ordered a birthday cake and a snickerdoodle (another favorite!) for pickup. Drove over and it was ready! The cookies were soooo good. They're huge, reasonably price, and you can really taste the butter and sugar. Definitely not something to have too often because they are so indulgent, but wow, they are so good and I will definitely be back! read more

I love cookies! Anytime I get the opportunity to try a new cookie I can't resist. My favorite type of cookie is one I can dip in milk without falling apart and Dad's cookies offers that experience. I tried their chocolate chip cookie cause I am a basic kind of guy. I had to cut it in half just to dunk it. The cookie had a nice absorption effect for a perfect cookie/milk bite. If you like milk with your cookie then dad's cookies is a great choice. read more

New Location alert!! 7505 N Willow Ave inside the Johnny Quick! We had to go on the grand opening. We've been buying from Dad's cookies from the start and we are so happy for Lance and his family! Lance is a great guy who treats everyone like family! The cookies are amazing as always but this time I tried the brookie cookie which blew my mind! I get these delivered on Door Dash and when they arrive they are still warm. I can't tell you how much I love these cookies. They make me so happy. This is now my favorite local cookie place. Although some of the Crave and Crumble cookies taste good, they are generally too sweet for me and that makes it hard to eat. This place has just the right amount of sweetness and they are super soft with a melt in your mouth feel. I tried the cookies n cream and the peanut butter chocolate chip and love both of them. Looking forward to trying some of their others and would recommend this place to others read more

My wife bought us each a cookie from a local shop that was selling these deliciousness. So glad we got to taste them. Honestly they look like deflated biscuits (I mean this as a compliment) because of the size. Super soft. I had the chocolate chip and my wife had the sugar. The cookies are amazing and I can't say enough good things about them. This review is based on their business practices, not the food. TLDR; don't place an online order assuming they will fill them. They won't. A couple of weeks ago I went in looking for a special they had and was told to come back in two hours and they would be ready. No big deal, I'll come back around. When I arrived 2.5 hours later I was told that they still never made more of them and that they would not be making more the rest of the weekend. It sucks, but these things happen. Since then, I started placing online orders ahead of time to make sure that I get my order as I understand it's popular and they can go quickly. I placed my order yesterday for today for another special they had running this week. Oddly enough I never got a text or email saying the order was ready at the time I set it at, 1pm. I went at 2pm and was told they had just sold the last cosmic brownie... I then asked how if I placed the order yesterday. Was it just ignored? It was. They hadn't even printed out the ticket for it. They then said they were all out because of an event at riverpark and I could get one from there. No. I'm not going to go out of my way because someone forgot to fill the online orders ahead of time. The same employee then tried to lie and suggest it said sold out when I placed the order yesterday, which it didn't. They were completely scrambling for an excuse instead of just being apologetic for not filling their online orders. The previous times they had printed it out and prepared it ahead of time for pickup. They then said that the Riverpark event was planned a week ago... which has zero impact on you not filling orders. If I can go and get one at the riverpark food truck that means they aren't pre-sold. Someone forgot to fill customer orders today and was making excuses instead of just saying they made an error. Honesty matters. Just be honest and say what happened, it isn't a big deal. Don't lie and throw out 3 excuses instead of just being real. Customer service needs a ton of work. I hope that can improve to the level of the food because again, the cookies are perfection. read more

The various Asian flavors are a hit, and a suggestion box from the public could be an idea. Also, not sure if the eye is playing tricks, but seems like their new cups provide a smaller portion than the old cups. Hopefully that is not the case.

We were in town the morning after seeing the Firefail. Finally success on the third visit attempt. Amongst other shops on the desolate street stood an unremarkable window front where the repeat button has remained on since the 60s. Within was an eclectic mix of Japanese American household fixtures and Americana. Rustic. Nothing like Benkyodo's proper shelf presentation - or a hamburga stand. Some Japanese goods were on offer, but you come here for something sweet. We got a couple of mochi and manju, traditional red bean flavors, because that's all that was left. Their manju, seeming to have a different "batter" and "panini"-grilled, had a crumbly texture. The mochi though... Have you seen that viral video of that slapping mochi shop in Nara? What about people enjoying it? How soft it was, leaving a vegan cheese pull with every bite? This was by far the softest mochi I've ever had, and I thoroughly enjoyed the soy dusted yomogi. The bigger size of the mochi also accentuated the softness of the mochi. The matcha, also green, had a distincting different flavor, just so you know that the shop wasn't cheating. My partner in crime loved the lima bean mochi. The red bean filling tasted homemade, good flavor but not too sweet - the best compliment you can give an Asian in a world that remains overrun by pollo ala naranja. We are proud* that such a heritage perseveres on, especially in a part of town that's honestly become quite desecrated of life. Call ahead to see if the shop is open, and try to come early. The shop is a one woman show, and if my first two visits say anything, this lady enjoys having a life. And yes, she does sell out. She was nearly sold out when we visited. And try to enjoy the mochi ASAP. The mochi will last in the fridge. The texture will not. If you come at the right time of the year, the shop will have mochi in different fruit and pie flavors, and even ice cream mochi. *OK, "I'm proud of you" might be a bigger compliment to an Asian. And yes, there's Fugetsu in LA, but I haven't been. Though if you need a reason to visit the Fresno, you can always take the 99 traveling between SoCal and NorCal... Just need to be early if much is desired. If you're interested in AYCEat mochi, staying healthy, working out for free, and have an eye for the art of making mochi, may I suggest asking the owner for an apprenticeship? They had their desserts on display and a tv menu with pictures. We ordered the matcha soufflé ($16). We waited long for our order about 20-25 mins. They were still serving 4-5 people desserts before us. But the soufflé was huge. They made the dessert fresh because it was pretty warm. The soufflé was soft and you can taste the matcha. I like the flakes and blue berries paired with it. We were so full. I would say it's a good dessert spot but I wish they made them faster. But they do make it fresh.

The fillings weren't too sweet, which I like but I think they could've used just a tiny bit more sweetness because they were kinda borderline bland. As for pricing, I know doordash marks everything up, so I'm not judging them based on the prices I paid through doordash. Looking at Beard Papa's regular prices on yelp, I still think they're a little higher than what I would've expected for cream puffs, but not by a lot or anything. Overall though, I thought they were pretty good, and I'd probably go back, just probably not for every craving.

The sweet corn lacked flavor, you can only get a hint of it. There were a few corn pieces mixed in, but they were few and far between, plus they didn't have a strong corn flavor either. I loved the concept but execution was disappointing. The treasure chest was very good, though I personally wished there was a more even ratio of brown butter cookie to brownie. I can't recall if I even got any brownie pieces. Flavor was excellent otherwise. The other complaint that I have is that the scoop is small. As you can see from my photo, my two scoops looked like 1 scoop. Not worth the price. I know competitors like Han**ls, where I'm a regular at, have given bigger scoops. All in all, still a great quality ice cream.

September of 2020 I placed the first of many orders from Dads cookies. My coworkers & I wanted them delivered on a non delivery day & although Lance was busy baking that day & getting ready for a radio interview he went out of his way to personally deliver them to us. He also honored our request to not cross contaminate the peanut butter cookies with the non-PB cookies due to a nut allergy. We receive excellent customer service every time we've ordered. When the business expanded to selling at local farmer's markets I so happy for them. They are so personable and the cookies are amazing! First time eating these cookies was at Farmers Market in River parker. I bought four cookies, I ate half of the peanut butter cookie, and was instantly amazed. Best cookies by far from any i've eaten, baked at perfection and very soft and full of flavor. It almost felt like i was eating a brownie. I decided to go back and buy more for my kids. These are seriously so delicious and extra gooey! Why did I buy an entire dozen of these huge things!? I needed to taste every single flavor that's why. One cookie can be cut in half, and now I had 24 yummy cookies for my family to sample and share. Every single time they are simply perfection. I can't with wait till the morning to pair with my coffee! The owner is absolutely super nice and will sit and talk with you like he's known you forever. I stopped by at the Riverpark farmers market and THESE COOKIES CHANGED MY LIFE!!!! They're so sweet (which I love), super soft, super thick, and just extremely delicious! Holy smokes! If you love cookies, you need to try these. No one in the valley can make them like Dad's! I am not a big sweets person, but I will tear up an entire cookie on my own. Perfect mixture of ooey gooey, with a nice bite on the outside. They suggest to warm it up, but I can eat them right out of the box! Great customer service as well! Where do I start. I love everything about theses cookies. Everyone I have shared theses cookies, they love them as well. Theses cookies are thick, yet soft but a bit of a crisp outside.
