He helped us pick a few cupcakes and we ended up learning he donates to feed families, he's a very kind person, and he made such an effort to make sure we enjoyed our cupcakes! The cups cakes were delicious! A lot of people seemed to have an issue with the "frosting" being hard when they sit in the fridge- please don't be so fast to judge I just had another one, a red velvet, and it tastes amazing and not cold anymore.It's rare I see any bakery not be greedy these days and genuinely kind to customers. Was gifted (which was such a kind gesture and still much appreciated) mini cupcakes from what used to be my favorite cupcake place, and thought something seemed different (but it was a flavor I had not had before, so didnt think much of it), then ate the lemon one, and it confirmed my suspicion that the shop was under new ownership...then some Google sleuthing proved it. Several of the flavors were dry, and the frosting tastes like it has less butter, more Crisco. Extremely disappointed with our experience ordering eggless cakes from this bakery. We ordered two cakes for a special occasion and prepaid for both on May 15. The first cake was picked up on May 16 and the second on May 18. Unfortunately, both had the exact same issue -- the inside was severely underbaked and raw like dough. The only reason we even picked up the second cake was because it had already been prepaid. Otherwise, after seeing the condition of the first cake, we would never have ordered another one from this bakery. We paid around $102 total and ended up throwing most of the cakes away because nobody was comfortable eating uncooked cake batter. This is not just disappointing quality, but also a potential health concern. The most frustrating part is that we had previously ordered an eggless cake from this bakery and it was perfectly fine, which is why we trusted them again for an important occasion. We specifically requested whipping cream frosting as well. The red and white strawberry cake did not even include proper whipping cream as requested. The second cake at least had the frosting, but the cake itself still had the same raw dough issue. We tried addressing these issues directly with the bakery first, but the concerns were never properly acknowledged or resolved. Eggless cakes can absolutely be made properly, so if the bakery is unable to consistently prepare them correctly, these orders should not have been accepted in the first place. I have photos clearly showing the raw interior of both cakes. Very disappointing experience, especially for an expensive special occasion order. Update after owner response: I want to clarify that the main issue was NEVER melted frosting from travel. We only requested early pickup because we had plans afterward and could not pick up later in the day. The bakery is now bringing up a "6-hour trip," which was never the issue we complained about. We also never complained about the butterscotch frosting choice. The complaint from the beginning has been about the inside of BOTH cakes being severely underbaked/raw, as clearly shown in the photos. The response avoids addressing the actual issue shown in the pictures. Eggless cakes may have a different texture, but raw dough-like interiors in two separate cakes ordered days apart is not normal. read more

How did I just find this local bakery in my neighborhood!? I used trusty Yelp when I had a craving for cheesecake and was shocked to know I missed this family run business right around the corner. I checked it out it's located in the Cedar/Herndon shopping center. When we entered it smelled AMAZING! I love that they have mini sizes of the cupcakes and cheesecake makes it easy to sample or just get that fix without over indulging! They also carried homemade cookies which were to-die-for! Not too sweet or doughy with lots of chips! I've been back just for the cookies since I'm so particular and dislike those chain brands that seem to be so popular. The service was fine nothing bad or outstanding either. Of note they also carry thrifty ice cream! As a hater of Nothing Bundt Cakes, I needed something new and was really looking forward to this place. First off, just want to preface that the staff at this place is very lovely and nice so their attitude alone made me less upset. That being said, while their website is very user friendly and it was super easy to place my order, my order was placed for 2PM. These were cupcakes that I ordered to surprise a friend for her birthday, and I was scheduled to arrive at the place at 4PM. When 2PM came I didn't receive a call or any kind of notification that my order was or wasn't ready. I checked the website again and all it said was "your order is likely ready." I called and was told it wasn't ready at 2:40PM. Thankfully I had time and said I was happy to swing by at 3:30, giving me plenty of time to still make it to where I needed to be. When I arrived, my order was STILL not ready. Eventually I had to ask for a refund for any unfinished cupcakes, but at that time they stated my order was finally ready. They offered me water and cheesecake while I waited but there was no other offer to make up for the extremely late order, no coupon, no discount, nothing. This is very unprofessional and I don't think I will order from them again. The cupcakes are fine, lots of other reviews state that the cupcakes are dry and these, at least for the one and the ones a few friends tasted and told me about, weren't dry, but for the price they are just OK. I suggest either increasing the quality of the cupcake or making them cheaper. Overall, very lovely friendly staff but with such a long (100 minute!) delay in my order without any notification or communication, and then nothing to make up for it, I don't see myself doing business with them anytime soon. Perhaps if I am in the area and craving something sweet I would stop by for whatever they already have baked but not risking placing a time sensitive order again. read more

That is a good sign when a business sells out the majority of their daily production. I enjoyed a sugar cookie and knew I would be back for more. On my next visit I enjoyed a chocolate oreo and lemon cupcakes. The flavors are rich and the cakes are moist and dense. I'm sad to report that my experience wasn't as I had hoped. I ordered two cupcakes (strawberry chocolate, and lemon) along with two chocolate chip cookies. Unfortunately, the cupcakes were both very dry, the flavor of the lemon was over powering, and the strawberry barely had strawberry flavor. Conversely, the chocolate chip cookies were amazing and fresh with a slight crunch! I do feel I paid a bit much for all of them, but I did go a little later in the day, so maybe the cupcakes had been sitting out too long and dried out. The frosting isn't the same and tastes like grocery store frosting. The old cupcakes had a custard like frosting and was the only reason we were frequent customers. Staple flavors like orange creamsicle, strawberry and coconut were not in display. This bakery is slightly tucked away in the Tahoe Joe's shopping center at Herndon and Cedar. Friendly greeting and great selection for arriving after work about 5:30 ish. I paid for 6 cupcakes and received 6 free. They also have mini cupcakes which looked so adorable! I shared these with my sister , bro n law, and his family. Everyone enjoyed the cupcakes. Yum yum yum I am from Orange County where cupcake bakeries are abundant. We came up to Fresno for a birthday party and figure we would supply the cupcakes. We ordered 30 mini cupcakes total. The following cupcakes we purchased were carrot cake, lemon, german chocolate, red velvet, and coconut. The only cupcake I tried was the lemon one and it was moist and delicious. From what I heard at the party, people enjoyed the red velvet and carrot one. Whoever ate them seemed impressed and liked it. Our total for 30 mini cupcakes was only $28. The pricing for each mini cupcake was 95 cents. Thats cheap considering that mini cupcakes where I live is normally $1.50 each. The girl working was very nice. She originally told us it was $1.10 per cupcake but after she rang us up, I noticed it was cheaper for one. They also have normal size cupcakes as well as their minis. I asked her if it was cheaper if we bought them by the dozen (normally stores do that), but she said they did not. However, I am happy because they were super cheap and tasted good. I did not experience the cupcakes being dry like other yelpers have described. If I am in the area, which is unlikely, I would come back for their cupcakes. read more

I came in and this lady in front of me had severe indecisiveness. Cupcakes bakery has all their mini cupcakes lined up in a separate fridge; however, they are not named. The elderly lady in front of me was trying to put together a box of dozen cupcakes. The employee first went over all the cupcakes with her and the lady would point and a cupcake, ask what it is, ask for it, the employee would reach to grab it, and she would say never mind I want another cupcake. She must have done this at least 5 times and the employee was patient throughout the whole experience. Once she had paid, the employee offered to open the door for her and walk her cupcakes to the car. WOW.
