Curry chicken salad
Andrea J.

Love this hidden gem! The service was very good as well, and quick. Curry Chicken salad - 5 stars, wonderfully flavored! Will get in a sandwich next time. Omelette Cuban Bread sandwich - 5 stars! Buffalo chicken wrap - 5 stars! They have a lot of bread options available!

I got the curry chicken wrap with: tomatoes, onions, cucumber, carrots, salt and pepper, honey mustard.
Alison C.

This place is so good! Everything tastes really fresh and flavorful, the bites in the wraps are homogeneous which I love! You can't beat their prices!

Miami Wrap and Cafe Con Leche
Jonathan F.

This place far exceeded my expectations for a mom and pop fast casual deli / cafe. They were quick, nice, good price. The wrap was actually really good with good fresh ingredients. The cafe con Leche was pretty good too. Well done!!! Easy 5 stars!!

Their banana latte is better than the ones I've gotten at actual coffee shops here in Miamiread more

I was really looking forward to trying Jholano's in the Gables, after seeing many positive reviews,…read morebut unfortunately our experience didn't live up to them. The space itself was small but clean. When my husband and I walked in, there were no other customers. The young lady behind the register was looking down at her phone and didn't greet/acknowledge us when we came in. Even once we were standing in front of the register, my husband said hello first, she looked up but still didn't greet us, just slightly grinned and waited for us to start ordering. When we did order we had to repeat ourselves three times because nothing was being written or entered as we ordered. I thought maybe she was new or this was one of her first jobs, but the whole interaction felt very disconnected. I ordered one of the egg sandwiches. The bread was fresh and had a slight sweetness that I actually liked, but overall it was not anything I'd order again. My husband ordered the 6PM in Tuscany, which was around $26. Unfortunately, his sandwich was missing several of the listed ingredients. We hadn't requested any modifications, so after tasting it, we actually checked the menu again because something seemed off. The chicken cutlet had no crunch, the sandwich was bland, and was just missing so much he didn't even finish it. I really wanted to love this place because of all the great reviews I had seen. Maybe we caught the Coral Gables location on an off day, but between the service and the food not matching what was listed on the menu, this visit was unfortunately a disappointment. I genuinely wish Jholano's well, but based on the experience we had a couple of Sundays ago, I wont be rushing back.

It's been a while since I've gone to a restaurant and the service and food quality was so amazing that it literally made me stop in my tracks but here we are! I started with a hot mocha latte. I am a coffee snob and this drink was made to perfection! Absolutely delicious and I didn't want the cup to end! It was the perfect balance of smoothness and warmth and it was sweetened perfectly! For breakfast, I decided to get the mushroom toast and it was amazing! I was skeptical about the ricotta addition but it was spread on the toast like butter, very plentiful and tasty! That along with the other ingredients used made it taste exceptional! Perfect price point too! I was more than satisfied! Last but not least the service by host staff and waiters was top tier. Very attentive and lots of smiles! They genuinely seemed happy to have me and treated me like a guest in their home. I genuinely can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu! Thank you for an amazing experience!

A Slice of Dominican New York... Right Here on Miami Beach…read more I've been coming to Ocean Deli since 2020, and I honestly can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. Maybe because people from New York know one universal rule: when you find a great neighborhood spot, you keep your mouth shut. You don't want your hidden gem becoming the next place where people wait in line because somebody on social media "discovered" it. Ocean Deli is one of the last authentic neighborhood delis left on Miami Beach. In a city filled with luxury hotels, trendy brunch spots, and restaurants charging resort prices for breakfast, Ocean Deli quietly does what it's been doing all along--serving great food, quickly, and at prices that still make sense. This is where the people who actually keep Miami Beach running come to eat. Hotel employees, construction workers, delivery drivers, city workers, first responders, and the locals who somehow managed to survive Miami Beach's rising cost of living. If you want to know where the real locals eat, this is it. The owner is Dominican and from the Bronx, and that New York Dominican bodega culture is written all over this place--in the best possible way. Walk through the door and you'll swear you just landed in Washington Heights or the Bronx. Bachata and merengue are playing in the background. The smell of fresh café con leche fills the room. The grill is always working. Conversations bounce around the deli like you've walked into someone's neighborhood hangout instead of a business. The ladies behind the counter are unmistakably Dominican--friendly, hardworking, efficient, and they keep the line moving without ever losing that neighborhood feel. The sandwiches are outstanding. Fresh bread, generous portions, and made the way sandwiches are supposed to be made. No unnecessary gimmicks. No tiny portions with fancy names. The café con leche deserves its own mention. Strong, smooth, and exactly what coffee should taste like. If you've spent any time in New York's Dominican neighborhoods, you'll recognize it immediately. The Dominican breakfast and lunch plates are equally impressive. Simple, authentic, flavorful comfort food that fills you up instead of emptying your wallet. Speaking of wallets... Ocean Deli might be one of the best values left on Miami Beach. While restaurants a few blocks away are charging you like they flew the eggs in first class, Ocean Deli is quietly serving quality food at prices that remind you Miami Beach wasn't always built just for tourists. Just know what you're walking into......This isn't a sit-down restaurant. You walk in, place your order, take your receipt to the register and pay. Then you wait a few minutes while the grill works its magic. When they call your order, you grab your food and you're on your way. That's how it's done here. Fast, efficient, and without all the unnecessary fanfare. Ocean Deli isn't trying to sell you an "artisan culinary experience." It's selling great sandwiches, authentic Dominican food, excellent café con leche, fair prices, and a little piece of Dominican-York right here on Miami Beach. Some places sell an image....... Ocean Deli sells breakfast and lunch. After six years of coming here, I wouldn't have it any other way. Just do yourself one favor: when you find yourself surrounded by tourists paying resort prices for an average meal, remember there's still one place on Miami Beach where the locals go. Now You Know

You can create your own custom sandwich, which is how I get the best chicken cutlet sandwich in Miami, something that is basically nonexistent here. My order is crispy chicken with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mozzarella, mayo and their special sauce. Everything is always fresh, and the quality has remained consistent and reliable. They also have great bagels and are a true neighborhood breakfast staple. It's a little pricey, but I'm happy to pay for the quality. This spot was convenient and wasn't far from our hotel, so we said why not. When we first got there, there had been some kind of accident right in front of the restaurant, but the officers got everything cleared up pretty quickly. We sat outside, which I loved. Now the birds?? Baby, they are BOLD! They kept trying to steal this man's food right off his table. They didn't bother us too much though because my mom was not playing with them and kept shooing them away. I got the French toast with eggs, sausage, and potatoes, and everything was really good. And they are definitely not stingy with the portions--you're getting some food! My niece had the chicken strips, and when they came out we started laughing because they were really just chicken breasts cut up into strips. But honestly? They were FIRE, so I can't even complain. I'd rather have that than some little frozen chicken tenders anyway. We also got a carafe of mimosas, and those were really good too. Overall, we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and just sitting outside taking it all in. It was a nice little find before our cruise, and I'd definitely stop back by whenever I'm in town.
