Con: There are not many other reasons you'd specifically come to this bar. Pro: They have almost twice the size of the original store. Con: It's a bit further away from the actual Causeway Bay, and further uphill. Pro: They have an amazing list of beers to choose from (well, amazing in terms of CWB's standard, not Soho's). Con: You have to be very patient to get a server, due to its prolonged corridor. It's a flaw by design. Pro: Unlimited peanuts and you can toss them on the floor. Hell YES. Con: It isn't really an "Inside out" anymore as most of the areas are indoors or covered. More cons: "membership" only (although it's like $20 a month, or you can tell the server that the friend of yours who is a member "is coming"). It closes relatively early to other bars, and also it lacks of other entertainment (darts, pools, etc.). But surely you can go to their professional pool room if you are keen. But as a sport bar, I still enjoy every bit of it, if not more than its original location, which was somehow always full.

My favorite has to be the creamy macaroni and cheese, my friend said it was a bit too creamy, but I just love it, and with the bacon bits, it tasted fantastic! I also ordered the hot wings, the waiter was very nice, as he warned us the sauce can be quite spicy for some, and asked if I want to have them on side instead. I was like: bring it on. The wings looked slightly skinnier than before, but taste wise, it is still there. Celery on the side looked a bit .. yellow though, but still crunchy!

Looks like it's known for its Angus beef from "humanely fed" cows. I ordered the "steak" Burger which really a fresh Burger patty with the carbonara shake. Great Burger. The price is right. I also went to the one at Harbour Terminal which offered a window seat with the panoramic night harbour view. And for the same price, that's a deal.

The ambience was like a retro diner, with unique CD art on the walls, diner-like stools, and photos of guests enjoying their meal at Burger Joy. I wasn't feeling a burger, so I ordered some truffle fries and wings. I was so impressed at the amount of truffle they sprinkle on the fries and the flavor of the wings. SO hot and fresh which made the meal so delicious. I went with Cajun seasoning and the exterior was lightly crispy and coated with the powder. Fantastic flavor! As a Westerner, I could rely on Burger Joy for that classic American style dining. They have late hours and close at 2:30AM! Glad my friend and I discovered this spot as we have been out so late and nothing but convenient stores were open in Wan Chai.

It was and still is such a hard thing to find in HK, which seems strange given the popularity of burgers and the huge expat population. Now that several big time fast food chains (#1) have opened up, Burger Joys and their pricey burgers may seem somewhat pedestrian. Burger Joys is still fairly unconventional from most of the other burger spots, which includes serving full on booze (even cocktails!) and remaining open for 24 hours a day. The latter is mainly for location's sake, Wanchai and it's red light district vibe tends to spurn a lot of expat visits; many of whom are less likely to look for a HK Cafe over the idea of a burger and fries. The burgers themselves evoke memories of In N Out by presentation alone, sans taste and price. That said, the burgers are good. I'm not sure if the signature double cheeseburger warrants the $139HKD price tag, but it's still tasty. Throw in a shake and some fries (better with truffle!), the meal gets closer to 200HKD+ with the service charge. Thank goodness they accept credit cards. The service has been a mix of great and subpar. Some days when the gentleman from Vancouver is working, the service is professional, fun, and efficient. Some other days / hours, it's a crapshoot of casual and lackluster staff. The mileage definitely varies. I suppose the adage applies: come for the food and nothing else. I'm surprised that my first time at Ruby Tuesday is in Hong Kong…read more Coming from Canada and looking at the menu, I was astounded to see that the prices were so exorbitant. In my mind, I was thinking, "I came to Hong Kong to pay twice as much for North American food?" Thankfully, our family friends, who had suggested Ruby Tuesday, informed us that they had a membership card that gave them 50% off everything on the menu (including alcohol). That made the prices considerably more reasonable. Had: Mussels - cream sauce was lovely. Didn't penetrate the extremely small mussels though. This was yesterday's appetizer special. $52 HKD for 10 mussels. Each mussel was quite small. The ten fit into what looks like a small soup bowl. Nachos - kinda tasted like pizza. Odd, but good. Nachos were not made of corn. I believe they were flour. They tasted fresh though. Kinda nice that it comes with a scoop of guac on top. Not expensive either (once again, with membership). Blackened tilapia with rice pilaf - new menu item. Comes with some sort of spicy mango salsa. Rice pilaf had cheese on it. I am not a fan of rice pilaf. I was not a fan of this one. The cheese helped...slightly. The tiliapia was not memorable. Chicken and broccoli alfredo - penne was the thin kind. I liked that. Huge portion. Lots of cheese. Chicken was tender. Broccoli was good. Came with garlic bread which was crispy and had enough garlic to label it as garlic bread (pet peeve of mine is when garlic bread has the tiniest amount of garlic on it). Good stuff. Wagyu burger - supposedly, they get their wagyu beef from Australia. From what I know of wagyu, it only comes from Japan. I highly doubt what I ate was wagyu. That being said, the burger was juicy and full of beefy flavour (I ordered mine medium, because on the odd chance that what I actually had was wagyu, it would be such a waste to have it fully cooked). The burger had no sauces on it save for what I believe was butter (which added to the juiciness of the burger). It came with fries that were well seasoned with salt and pepper, and the fries were crispy. At half price, it was about $15 CAD, which is not bad for a good burger and fries. Interesting game of the night: Monday is flip a coin day. After you pay your bill, a server brings over a coin, and one person at your table gets to call heads or tails. If you guess correctly, you get a voucher that gives you half the price of the meal you just paid off your next bill at Ruby Tuesday, redeemable within a month. We flipped right. Our family friends get over $500 HKD off their next meal! =D Side note: All the servers speak English, seemingly quite well. Alcohol note: Didn't try one, but they have some huge, fishbowl looking cocktails. Without the membership, I believe they're about $20 CAD, but with membership, they'd be about $10 CAD? I've been told that most people who go have the membership. Makes sense. Good stuff though. The quality is much better than I expected.

I don't really agree with him with regards to the burger, but I do see why he likes the atmosphere- to a certain extent it may appeal to his younger days. I tried their bacon cheese burger and it came within a reasonable span of time, and while I cannot comment much on the quality, since it seemed pretty standard, they l can say that they offer very generous portions for both the burger and the fries. I appreciate the use of real cheddar and some moderately crispy bacon, but a higher quality burger patty would do their burger a world of good- it was really soft and mushy. The fries were well seasoned and crunchy, so that gave me the motivation to clean my plate after conquering the burger. As is evidenced in the presence of a souvenir shop, the Hard Rock Cafe should probably be looked at as a place that sells a lifestyle or experience. Considering the prices listed on menu items, it's hard to justify those in any other way.

I would come back again just for this salad alone. The other dishes we tried though were a bit disappointing (good yelp reviews = high hopes): * The foie gras on the burger was ah-mazing (in words of my friend), but the burger itself was not great. * I was really looking forward to the shrimp po boy, and while it looked delicious, it was just okay with a heavy batter and little flavor. The flavors of the pork sandwich didn't work well together and the bread came soaked-through soggy. * The lobster broth pasta was well... noodles in strong lobster broth. * For dessert, we decided on the mascarpone donuts. Sad, deflated little puffs. It's worth noting that they are baked with mascarpone, not mascarpone-filled as we had hoped. Overall, food & service was okay. I'd stop by again if in the neighborhood but not worth coming to TST specifically for.
