Tried their food at a pop-up at Urban South Brewery and I was not disappointed one bit. When they claim they have hot chicken they are right, but they bring the flavor as well. Can't speak for the top level of heat as I didn't dare try that but the mid level of heat was great. If you aren't a fan of heat though don't worry they offer their food without the spice as well. My girlfriend got the non-spicy mozzarella sticks and they were tasty. Their sandwich was huge and had high quality crispy chicken. Keep an eye out for this food truck to be around and I'd recommend seeking them out (follow them on Instagram). Perfect pairing with craft beer if they are at a brewery when you visit them.

Daddy Hot Bird is a fried chicken pop-up that I've been wanting to try! Most recently, I got to try them at Mid-City bar Pal's and it was well worth the wait. You order at the truck and they bring the food to your table, so you don't have to wait to hear your name called. I'm not one on spice so I kept it basic with the Metairie flavoring, which had a small kick and nice flavoring. They had a whole variety of more intense spices though, so if you're searching for some Nashville hot chicken, this is your spot. The sandwich looked good, but I got the tenders which came with toasted bread and pickles - essentially the same thing you get for the sandwich just in tender form. Everything was delicious, even down to the ranch they serve it with. Fries were crispy and thick with not too much seasoning. Next time - def gonna try those mozzarella sticks! Definitely check out these guys if you can and follow them on social media to see where they're popping up next.

Zamnnnnnnnnnn!!! Best hot chicken in the NOLA area no questions asked.. Don't @ me. I had a chance to try it last night. I decided on the DHB sando with "downtown" level spice. There was definitely a tingling burn but delicious! Really enjoyed it. The chicken has tons of flavor and definitely was hot, fresh, and amazing. The slaw and pickles helps with the spice. When I went, they were serving out of their food truck in front of Pal's Lounge. Their location does change each day so I recommend checking on Instagram for updates. If you're feeling adventurous, go for the "Cluck Me Up Fam" spice level. I hear it is made from Carolina Reapers so yeahhhh... I am adventurous but I don't think I can handle that.. Kinda scares me just thinking about it hahahaha. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY.

Got the "Metairie" spice level = really was a brush of heat. Chicken on toast really does seem more appealing. As you can tell that the chicken is bigger than the toast so definitely money worth it. Will definitely come back for more.

Got turned on to the place by a friend. Got the hottest they had and boy it lit me up. Was a great sandwich but warning if you get the hottest it's damn hot. Haha

The coolest way to get a slider in NOLA!…read more Streetcars are part of the history and essence of New Orleans. Not only are they a great way to get around, they are also a great way apparently to get a meal. Yes, its actually a truck of some sort that has been converted to a street car. But they serve delightful small portions like cheese fries, donuts, and sliders. It can be difficult to find this little rolling food delivery system. There is no fixed location. So don't trust the location indicated on any static page online. They move around. Customer service is always fantastic. Food is always great. What more could you want??

Yes this business is a spin-off/branch/non-profit venture from the District Donuts folks. And it is…read morea non-profit: http://www.districtstreetcar.com/about The Streatcar (that purposeful typo is hard to type) was near my work today so I my coworker and scarfed down some tasty treats. I had the tofu slider and she had the cheeseburger & fries (waffle style!). The service was fast and my tofu slider was delicious...check my photo. My coworker's waffle fries were super tasty and well-fried because you know I had to help her with those. She said her burger was super tasty but was perhaps a little pink for her. And, of course, I had to get a cinnamon sugar donut which is yummy. The streetcar is the sort that I remember as a tourist conveyance in the 80s so it's cool to see that style back on the street.

Damn, this place was good…read more Yelp reviewers were showing love for this place, and I was starving after cramming for an Accounting final last night. I checked out the NOLA Food Truck app (if you don't have this app already, get it!) and this place popped as being parked at Kingpin, which I honestly never knew existed even though I'm in this area all the time. Damn, NOLA's got a lot of hidden bars. Anyways, $11 for a bahn mi seemed a little ridiculous, but I got one of their signatures: the Pig Shrimpin, which has pulled pork and shrimp along with all the standard bahn mi stuff. Y'all, this was amazing and hit the spot after a long day of studying. The pork had the most perfect flavor, it wasn't too sweet and had a kick but not too much of one. The shrimp were nicely sized and plentiful. Whatever sauce they used was awesome as well, I'm not a fan of overly saucy bahn mi's where the bread gets soggy and they nailed it here. I also got a side of kimchi; I was gonna get it on the sandwich but the girl who took my order advised me to get it on the side. It doesn't look like much in the picture but it was awesome and packed some serious heat. Nothing is worse than weak kimchi and they got it spot on. They're often parked near Ms. Maes as well which definitely helps elevate the awesomeness. Definitely a standout in the NOLA food truck scene.
