After kicking them out, they stood outside my house for 10 minutes and had their manager called me, then he hung up on me mid sentence after seeing I was a lost cause. Their rule seems to be don't leave, and don't take "no" for an answer. They wasted a half hour of my time, sounds like I got off easy compared to others. This company uses a terrible "use car salesman" approach. I contacted the company for a quote. The salesman (Ronan) stayed almost all day, while I told him that I had two other meetings, which I ended up missing. I specifically told him that I just wanted a quote and wasn't going to do any work until the spring at the earliest. He said that he would get in trouble if he didn't close a deal today and wanted "just a small down payment" to get my project on the books for spring. I gave him $400 and agreed to schedule for the spring. after getting other quotes and realizing that the estimate was more than double what it should be, and after going around my house to evaluate the readiness of the project and realizing that spring was too aggressive of a schedule, I contacted the salesman and cancelled the project just two days later (they give you 3 days to cancel). I have not heard anything from the company or received my deposit back. Be wary of contacting this company. You'll get the relentless "what do I need to do, to make a deal today" approach. read more

We have been working with DaBella for nearly a year to get our windows replaced. Initially, our windows took six months to arrive (2 months later than initially planned). We understand delays with manufacturing, etc. with Covid... our issue is the lack of communication and follow-up. Once our windows arrived, we were missing an entire room's worth of windows. They had just not been ordered at all. Another sales rep came out and told us it would be another 6 months for our windows to show up and they would be installed at cost. 6 months later and still have not heard about our windows... Nobody has reached out to us, so we spend DAYS trying to call customer service and spending 20-30 minutes on hold. Nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone from this company. Everyone seems to have "just stepped out" or is "on the other line". After the ring around, we find out that the final windows that were initially missed were never even ordered. The staff turnover seems high- nobody we've ever met or spoke to still works for the company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Do your research better than we did. read more

Explained that DaBella would be the last company I would get to replace a roof. When they came replaced the roof they blocked the driveway so no one could get in or out. Dabella installed a $25000 roof on my home. The installer was unprofessional and left a mess in my yard, nails and roofing materials. They also damaged my brand new gutters. Now less than a year later the roofing material is found to be defective and I cannot get dabella to come remove the pieces needed to send to the manufacturer for examination. This was a life lesson. I can now recommend that if you have your roof inspected and are told you need a new one, get bids and inspections from multiple sources to ensure you need a new roof and it is a fair price. Hopefully someone else can learn from my experience with DaBella. I am a female in my thirties, I was approached about free roof inspection, indicating that this was part of the company's service to watch out for others, to look out for others (a family value), and I agreed to the inspection. Their inspector came and reviewed what they found. They showed pictures and had reasonable dialog to go with it. Conclusion was my roof was leaking and needed to be replaced ASAP because every time it rained it was damaging the roof more. Before the inspection I looked up the BBB ratings and company online. Everything looked legit and the quality of work was well reviewed. I had confidence and trust. Mistake #1 didn't get bids from other companies with comparable products and services. Mistake#2 didn't get a second inspection by an unbiased party. Mistake #3 I should have waited even though rain was forecast and the situation seemed urgent. Mistake #4 trusting that what I was told was accurate. Anyway I signed a contract for a new roof with Dabella, (Cost just under $25,000 plus a $2,000 deposit) that had a 3 day cancellation policy as per WA law. I contacted my solar panel installer about uninstalling and reinstalling the panels. They let me know that they also could do the roof for about half the price of the original for the same product and service. The only difference was GAF master elite vs GAF president's award. This price difference was excessive and DaBella's justification was that their reputation was that much better. I was also assured this was a company with strong family values and they wouldn't be misleading or overcharging. It was already past 3 days so I was bound by the contract. I submitted a claim to my insurance for water damage, and they sent an inspector. They started off by saying it was unlikely I would get anything covered despite what I had described and the pictures I forwarded from the Dabella rep, but he would go look and let me know. After looking the roof over inside and out he said my roof is not leaking, it is about at half its life and in fairly decent shape. There were a couple spots I should do maintenance on but that none were urgent as they were not leaking. The staining on the wood in the attic was not from a current leak, maybe it was from a previous roof that leaked or it was stained prior to install. I contacted DaBella's rep saying we need to hold on proceeding with the roof. I was feeling completely taken advantage of, rushed, and naive. They gave me a couple days then reiterated that if I canceled that I would owe half the total cost of the project (Note no supplies on site or work done at this point). I was stuck with a costly life lesson. I wasn't happy about it but went ahead with a new roof because contract cancelation would still charge me half the price, essentially a new roof from the other company, but without the roof. Work was to start on a Thursday but they delayed two days. They started work on Saturday, continuing with underlayment on Sunday, and they finally finished Monday. There was someone home all three days while they worked, but they never reached out for consultation. On Wednesday, after all work was done, they contacted me saying there was a change form to be signed for additional charges due to extra work needed to remove the old roof. I contested the new charges ($2,562.63 or about 10% of the original cost just for extra disposal of old roof) by saying that they can not add on charges after work is complete. Change forms are supposed to be agreed on and signed before the additional work is done. This disagreement escalated to a manager, where I explained my side and why I was refusing. I was insistent that I consult a lawyer about what the applicable laws are and I repeated what I could find online. Everything I learned disagreed with what the manager was telling me about additional charges after the project was complete. Again, stating I would not sign the new change form charges (due to outrageous amount, no warning, after the fact, plus that their paperwork was backdated to the original contract date) the disagreement went to the regional manager who ended up demanding that we come to a resolution as not paying was not acceptable or fair. I am wondering if he thought I was refusing the whole payment even though I made it clear I was just disputing the additional charges. As I write this review, we are still working on a resolution. While it isn't perfect, it is something I will have to live with. Hope this review helps others to avoid having the same issues I did. read more

One star because it wouldn't let me leave zero. Based on my interaction with the door to door salesperson William "You don't need my last name", I will never do business with DaBella. I received an in requested knock on the door. The greeting was followed by politely listening to the sales pitch and what is wrong with my roof for several minutes. William stated he would have someone stop by for an estimate. I politely declined, informed him I am a Haag Certified Residential Roof Inspector, well aware of my roof condition and an insurance adjuster with contacts for a new roof. Once again politely listened to more sales pitch and again a statement that William will have an estimate prepared for me. I again declined. William continued to pitch the company, and firmly stated for the third I am not interested in an estimate. I figured he was trained to get 3 refusals and end the conversation. He began to question why I didn't want an estimate and if it is because I'm not getting a roof right away. I advised him that I was finished with the conversation and he needed to leave. As he walked down my walkway he stated DaBella would follow up in 6 months. At this point I informed William I will not be doing business with DaBella because of this interaction. Requested a business card to report him. Stated no cards on him. Requested his full name. Refused. Requested supervisor information. Refused. Told him to get off of my property. As he walked down the driveway he continued to look menacingly at me. When at the street told me to buy a no soliciting sign. I advised him to leave and not come back to my property, to which he responded "Oh, we'll be seeing you later." I would like an apology from DaBella for this unprofessional and threatening behavior that took place in front of my 3 year old son. read more

First: DaBella is really just a sales company. They subcontract out for the manufacturing of the Windows and hire third parties for install. DaBella's piece is that they knock on doors and/or give quotes. Our window install went okay, there were some small collateral damages (scratches on original mahogany trim) during installation. The glass does not seem to be top quality. On more than one window I have noticed small defects, like "pinches" in the glass. There is really nothing to be done about these issues, but it's important to be aware of what you are paying for. read more

The front window sags in the middle to the point the screens fall out and the windows don't lock. Their solution was to come out and replace the screens. I answered the door to a DaBella doorbell ringer about my windows. He set up a meeting with a sales person. After going through a 120 min ordeal with the sales person, i decided that I wasn't going to go through with the offer. The sales person called his "supervisor" and told me it was to check in to make sure he was alright and not being mugged. After offering me a take it or leave it offer, I said "No". He made a quick exit. His company called me several times in the days after and the area code of the calls came in as southern California. I ignored these calls as spam until I answered out of annoyance to find out who was calling. It turned out to be DaBella calling. I asked where he was calling from. He said from Oregon. I asked why his number would come up southern California then. He game me a lame answer. While I was on the phone with him a loud cheer went up in the background, like a ball game was going on. I asked and the person said his colleague just got some good news. Another minute and the same cheer went up. Not real professional of them I would say. They are shysters! The sales reps came to my house a half hour late. My fiancé who made the appointment was not home. They were both very nice and pleasant. Things seemed to be going well. However, they were at my house until 9:20 at night. They had no consideration for my time and spent 3 hours at my house. I did not get an actual quote until the end of the 3 hours. When they first arrived I stated from that all I wanted was a quote and would not be singing any contract today. I initially called for a window quote. They continued to mention " problems" with my home and add additional services. During the inspection, they mentioned that my roof could use some work. They tried to be convincing but I already have paperwork that my roof was replaced a few years earlier and did not need replacement. After gathering information about my house they went outside for at least a half hour to do who knows what. Then they finally came back in and went over all this information about how great their company is. After the presentation, one of the reps said he had to "make a call", no mention on who they were calling. When they called "Max" to let him know what we went over, "Max" seemed upset that I was adamant about talking with my fiancé before spending nearly 20k on just windows. I overheard "Max" ask why we couldn't get in contact with my fiancé and the rep made up excuses. I never stated we couldn't get in contact with him. The other rep seemed to try and distract me from hearing what else " Max" had to say. I am very displeased with how pushy they were to try and get me to sign a contract that day. Throughout the whole 3 hours they were there I mentioned multiple times and was very clean about just wanting an estimate today. With over 10 years of sales and customer service I could see they tried every trick in the book to get me to like them so I would sign a contract. They tried flattery, showing me their children, talking about their families to try and relate to me all to get a sale. Having recently moved to Spokane after leaving in 1990, serving in the Army than living in Oregon for over 20 years, and having a roof done by DaBella in Oregon, we knew there was only one company to go with here. DaBella. So one day I sent them a message and before I knew it, their rep, Brandon Montgomery was here in a Saturday early afternoon. He was very polite and personable. He told us much of what we already knew of DaBella and educated us on a few differences between here and Oregon. He has been very communicative and informative. When papers needed to be signed or any other issue, he has been very accommodating to our timeline needs. He's even checked in to check the status of our other projects to see how they've been going prior to the new roof being done. Brandon is a really great rep for DaBella. If we learn of anyone seeking to get a new roof, we will recommend not only DaBella, Brandon as their point of contact as well. We are looking forward to the new roof. Couple more weeks. Thank you April 13, 2020 update: no roof. Yes, the CV19 issue causes a slight hiccup, but that's passed and roofing has been allowed. We even signed a form for "emergency" work so they can rationalize it to the state. That being said, one thing that's been irritating us is the utter lack of communication by about four different people we've been had limited contact with. Some even evade answering direct questions. We ordered Nantucket Morning shingled for the roof. Things appeared to be set to go this past Monday, a week ago, even had the dumpster delivered. Guys dropped off equipment. Then the next morning they came back to take their equipment and said they don't know when they'd be back. So once again I had to call since no one calls us to keep us updated. Told the materials weren't delivered (no kidding), and another would calm me back. Got a voice mail. Told the shingles on back order. And if I wanted to know how long to call her and ask her to call the supplier. I called back, she would not take my call. Left message. No return call. Got a text from sales rep. staring his manager told him to tell us the Nantucket Morning shingles were renamed to Alaskan sand. Okay. Fine. Asked when that name change room place. No answer. Asked if they too are win backorder. Couldn't really answer. Said the roof should be installed this week. Now this morning they are picking up the dumpster. No phone call. No update. No nothing. NEGATIVE REVIEW FOR DABELLA We bought a house September 2021 and Dabella convinced me to replace our windows, roof and gutters shortly after. They told me these will be installed before winter which is one of the reasons why I agreed. Windows got installed January 2022 and unfortunately, I wasn't home when they finished because I needed to get my daughter from school. I checked their work the next day and noticed multiple issues like cracked frame and unusable window stopper due to bad installation. I let them know about these issues but they keep harassing me to sign the paperwork that says "I received satisfactory delivery of equipment, goods and services and satisfactory completion of installation". They keep calling me multiple times to sign even if I said I will only sign it once it's fixed. Due to all these hassle, I decided to cancel roof and gutters just to not deal with this horrible company. However, they told me that if I cancel, they will keep the deposit of $5000 plus half of the entire payment. The people who are calling me are so disrespectful, raising their voice and talking over me instead of resolving the issue. I told him again, still trying to be nice, that I was not interested. His voice intensified and he said they would be back tomorrow to do an inspection. I said you still have yet to tell me who you are and why you are here. He very rude and aggressively said we will be back tomorrow to inspect your roof and siding. Dabella Complaint May 2023: Telman, a representative from DaBella, came to my house because I requested a consultation from DaBella. I showed him our downstairs bathroom, which was the bathroom I wanted to be repaired due to a predatory contracting company who did a horrible job "repairing" my bathroom while my mom was passing away in 2019. The downstairs bathroom has horrible water pressure that one cannot even shower in, therefore, I searched for a company to look at that bathroom in order to fix, repair and/or remodel. I made it very clear, NUMEROUS times, that I had been scammed by this other company and was so afraid of being taken advantage of again. Telman assured me of the integrity of DaBella and that they would NEVER do that to me. While downstairs, I noticed that the ceiling, outside of the bathroom, had a bubble exhibiting signs of a leak. Telman, then, went upstairs telling me that the upstairs bathroom had leaks and that was what was eliciting the water bubble in the downstairs ceiling. Mind you, the ceiling downstairs is directly underneath the upstairs bathroom. Telman, then, told me there was also water in my walls and in an effort to make me believe there was water in the walls, he pushed on the shower walls noting how "badly" the walls ebbed. He then told me that if he put a screwdriver underneath the shelves, water would pour out from the walls. Telman was incredibly matter of fact, to the point of instilling fear, that there was water in my walls, there would be mold, and that my bathroom pipes were leaking. Telman instilled so much fear and anxiety in me, that I believed repair work had to be done on my upstairs bathroom immediately and not my downstairs bathroom, which i called them to look at in the first place. Being a South Hill home, I knew that, at some point, my home would need work due to the age of the home. Telman led me to believe in him, DaBella, and their integral work, that this absolutely needed to be done in order to save my home. I made it VERY CLEAR that I was NOT going to agree to anything if this is a remodel. I didn't need to do that nor would spend money on a remodel, that I was ok if it was to repair water damage and leaking pipes to save the integrity of my home. I also made it VERY CLEAR, AGAIN, that I had a horrible company destroy my downstairs bathroom and cannot have that happen again. Telman was very adamant that DaBella was not a company like that and that I had water damage and leaking pipes and NEEDED this to be done. Telman tapped into and took advantage of my trust and story from the start. $15,000 total to "repair" water damage and leaking pipes, put in a new bathtub and shower. I said yes because I was led to believe that my house needed this work to be done in order to stop any further water damage. Following the initial agreement on that day, Telman had to immediately leave for an unknown reason, and left Grace, a brand new DaBella employee, to "finish" up the initial agreement. Now I know and note that this is the beginning of ALL the red flags and predatory practices of DaBella. Telman then emailed me an agreement that was faulty and didn't work but he worked INSANELY fast to correct the issues in order to get me to sign. When that document was sent to me, I had family in town, and wasn't able to get to it in the manner in which DaBella needed me to sign it. I received numerous phone calls and texts from Telman, another DaBella employee, (Josh, Justin) not sure of his name but it came from a 208 number that I can provide if needed. Not only did I receiving hounding phone calls and texts, DaBella sent Grace TO MY HOUSE, without notice, to get me to sign the documents. This is harassment. I was shocked and appalled. June 2023 Then came the need for funding. Telman was all over me, again, to get the funding paperwork going. Texting and calling repeatedly until that was completed (all throughout the beginning of June) and my last text to him after everything went through was on June 26th, asking him what the next steps were and he never responded. That was the LAST time he ever responded to my texts. End of June, the "scheduler" called to schedule the day and time to come to begin work. Not a representative from DaBella! Monday, June 26th : Project Started Remind you, I was under the impression that I had water in my walls and that my pipes were leaking. The contractor showed up with NO fans saying the job would be done in two days. How is a job supposed to be done in two days if there is water in my walls and the walls need to dry? Ridiculously high pressure sales tactics, once they have your number they will not stop calling. we went with a different roofing company and have already told dabella to stop calling and guess what THEY WON'T STOP CALLING. They gave us an estimate that was 31 thousand over what it cost and they were upset that we went with someone else. The most annoying, pushy sales tactics. I feel bad for the salesmen who set the quote appointments because they are all very nice and are drinking the Dabella's training. They won't take no for an answer! We received a quote from them for our roof and when they gave us the price, we explained it was much higher than other quotes. The rep went outside to talk to his boss at least two times to see what they could do about reducing the price. When they gave us the final number, it was almost half of the original quote. Can you say SCAM? Why would I want to give my business to a company the overcharges then comes down on price to lock in the deal. Why not just give me the real price from the get go? This is a review of our initial contact with Dabella thru Gracie , a local representative. We may or may not purchase any windows/doors replacement packages but Gracie did a thorough and detailed inspection and projection of available options. She was very professional, pleasant, and polite. We appreciated her product knowledge, preciseness, and personable (but persistent) approach. I was very impressed with DaBella initially, my husband and I got a free quote to replace the roof on our home and the staff members were very knowledgeable and professional. They were willing to work with our budget and I truly respect that from a company. The customer service had been on point, and I was truly impressed. However, my husband and I were given 30 days to decide whether or not we wanted to commit ourselves to such a heavy finance. They had offered us a killer deal, but I explained to the representative that I was not comfortable signing anything that same day and that my husband and I are needing to price out other options. I wanted at least two other estimates just to price out our option, especially because the quote was over a grand more than the price range my husband I and I had discussed. Again, the representative was very understanding and said to take our time, to kill over the different options and to keep them in consideration - which I had every intention to. A sales rep even called me about a week after our meeting to follow up with us, which I was very appreciative of. And here's where DaBella lost me.... The last two consecutive nights, I had received calls from a 971 area code. Both of which were between the hours of 8 and 8:30pm. There was no voicemail left, however it is entirely possible that my voicemail box had been full and they were unable to leave a message - if so, that's on me. Normally a call this late in the evening wouldn't phase me in the least. However.... meanwhile, I have a toddler at home that I'm desperately trying to get down for bed. Mind you, this is a borderline impossible task to complete, ESPECIALLY with a distraction such as an incoming phone call late in the evening. In my opinion, it's incredibly inconsiderate and unprofessional to call a potential client this late in the evening. I decided to call the number that had reached out to me twice within the past 48 hrs at +1 (971) 246-5915. I asked to be placed on the "do not call" list, which the representative presumably did while on the phone with me. He gave me no grief, and I was grateful for that. However, I don't handle telemarketers well and it's hard to have respect for a company that uses telemarketing techniques such as Dabella. Had I known the information provided to DaBella representative would be used in this manner, I would not have chosen to meet with them in the first place.
