Five minutes later, a man called me and started in on a hard sell and telling me I needed to be available for an hour and a half the next day so they could evaluate my FOUR year old roof for damage. I told him "Never mind" and hung up. He called me back three times in the next 15 minutes until I blocked the number. I am a 100% disabled veteran on a fixed income. After being discharged from the military, the home my wife and I purchased had asbestos siding, and since we had small children, siding was our top priority. We chose DaBella because of the values and ethics the company preached that they held. Including the salesman telling us everything they use was made in America "to the nail." Additionally, the training and minimal experience requirement of "their" crews was another heavily highlighted talking point. My wife and I are both veterans, so we thought the $67000 price tag would be worth supporting this company. Unfortunately, the company did not display the values and ethics it preached from the time we signed the contract. Our home was halfway completed in the wrong color (one shade off) before the installers realized the mistake. At the time, the General Manager (GM) at the Idaho Falls office insisted they finish the job in the wrong color before negotiating prices. His initial pitch was a $2000 discount for doing the job in the wrong color. The issue was eventually negotiated to something I felt neither party was happy with, but it worked. Two short years after installing the siding in July 2024, I noticed some issues with the caulk, peeling and cracking all around the house and windows. After a brief walk around my home, I saw the problem was widespread. After a few days of hassle with the customer service office and speaking to a manager in the Dallas customer service office, my complaint was upgraded to the highest level and sent to the Idaho Falls offices. The Idaho Falls office (now under a new GM from the installation) sent the original crew to inspect their own work, which seems absurd from my perspective. However, after I raised concerns about this, the office GM showed up to walk around with me himself and "hear" my concerns and issues with the siding. He pointed out installation errors in several areas from the advertised 7-year minimum experience crews who participated in advertised special-caulking schools. Objectively speaking, it seems okay at DaBella to rush $67000 contracts; I didn't work as hard for my money, I suppose. We ended the interaction with a plan to have a third-party James Hardie representative inspect the siding and make recommendations. The plan was to correct the recommendations. Since the caulk shouldn't fail two years after the installation, as a homeowner, I have concerns for the project as a whole and any damage that the faulty caulk may have caused. Having a third-party inspection is the appropriate course. After a week, I hadn't heard anything from the GM and followed up. I was informed that James Hardie blamed the caulk company, and they saw no reason to come out. I asked the GM to call me so I could better understand what the plan was going forward. After all, it is my home, and businesses should speak to me before making decisions. He never called. I gave the GM two more weeks to call with a solution, but I am still waiting to hear a reasonable solution. After giving the GM THREE weeks to contact me with a solution, I had heard nothing from DaBella. I called on 28AUG2024 and spoke with the project manager. After a short conversation, it became clear that there had not been an in-depth conversation between the project manager and the GM about correcting the issues at my home. Both the Idaho Falls office and the Dallas call center refused to give me the regional manager's contact information. This leaves me wondering, WHO IS HOLDING THE IDAHO FALLS OFFICE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE STANDARDS DABELLAS ADVERTISES? These people try to pressure you as hard as they possibly can to get you to make a (not good) deal. I kindly told the salesman I was not interested MULTIPLE TIMES during the visit. Would not take no for an answer and kept calling their manager every time I refused to try and press me some more , stayed for 4 HOURS. And they have been calling me everyday for weeks. My mom a 70 year old, clicked on an ad on Facebook claiming senior citizen programs for new windows. She made an appointment with DeBella. They came on June 30 at 5:30. They used that first hour and a half building a repore with her and trust. Also, took measurements of her windows. Then claimed to have to wait for the pricing from her office staff. Then 2 hours in gave her pricing. Then trying to wheel and deal with someone at their office for better pricing and pressuring her over and over again. My mom told them she was feeling pressured and it was time for them to leave at 7:54. That's 2-1/2 hours! They still didn't leave or even move to get up and pack up. I arrived soon after watched what was going on and kicked them out. I had to stand with the front door opened and waiting till they got up and finally left! They weren't going to leave till she brought their windows. I can only imagine what would have happened if I didn't show up when I did. They were at my elderly mom's house for almost 3hrs! Something that was supposed to be a simple inquiry for new windows. She was very clear she only wanted a quote. And wasn't going to buy them just yet and she was gathering up quotes from other company's. Ended up having my mom feel trapped in her home and helpless. She felted that her rights were violated. I pay $35k in cash to resolved the bill and a week later I get served for a $9k lawsuit. After talking with half a dozen people I finally walked into the IF office and got it resolved. Now the snow melts and we see material for the soffit and fascia that hadn't been installed, I call the office and they say it wasn't part of the install, so I asked why wouldn't it be if the material was shipped? Don't let the guys from DaBella onto your property. I didn't invite them in, they just walked onto to our property and knocked on our front door. We have a no trespassing sign posted clearly on our front gate. The two sales men said they were from DeBella and would I be interested in receiving a quote for a new roof. I said OK (my bad). Because the old home that we own really does need a roof replacement, I agreed to a visit from two other DeBella employees (maybe contractors) the next day. Talk about a high pressure sales pitch - I got one. When I told the two that I would be sending Debella a request for quotation with my specifications for the new roof, they quickly offered to replace the roof for $40,000. How in the world could any roofer quote any dollar amount without knowing the exact specifications for the job? I smelled a scam. I said no, I was not interested in DeBella and asked them to leave. My refusal resulted in a daily stream of telephone calls from DeBella pressuring me to agree to a contract. I looked up DeBella on the Better Business Bureau web site. DeBella has many negative reviews on the BBB site for shoddy workmanship for siding, windows, and roof installs. I would not touch DeBella with a ten foot pole. read more

We had to cancel our order after some unexpected health issues - after no money had changed hands and no measurements done. And only 2 weeks after the order was placed. There were only 2 things that were good about working with DaBella. The salesmen, and the finished product. Everything in-between and after had been bad. Originally we were told one price for the siding. Then we get a call from the financing people who said it'll actually be $6,000 more than we discussed. We were told it would take 8-10 weeks to get the project done. It took over 18 weeks just to get started. But in those 18 weeks, they kept telling us that the project was going to start on X day. When X day rolled around, no one showed up. I had to call DaBella and ask them if someone was still planning on coming out to start the project that day. To which they would say, "Oh, no, we have to push it back to a later date. They did this too us 3 times, and each time I took work off to make sure I could be here for the workers just in case they had any questions at first. So I had to use 3 days of my vacation for nothing. DaBella told us that they have their own in-house trained installers who do the project. But the people who did the job didn't work for DaBella and were just contractors from a different company. And they kept asking me where the dumpster for the old siding material was that they needed to throw the junk into, because DaBella forgot to get them one for our job. So instead they brought a trailer to put the material in, but they put it in front of my driveway, and it sat there for 5 days AFTER the project finished. So I couldn't use my drive way for days. And now, its 3 weeks after our project finished and there's still pallets of material on our driveway that they still haven't picked up. They told me last week they would pick it up this week, and I just talked to them and they told me it'll be another week til its gone. I'm not pleased at all with this company and it definitely was not work the nearly $30,000 we paid for their service. Go somewhere else for half the price. read more

The end product looks great and the salesmen and the actual installers were great. It was frustrating at first trying to communicate with the people working in the office because there's not much communication on their end. We had no idea when they were going to show up to do the install. I was literally on my couch one day with my kids, half-clothed and breastfeeding when four dudes showed up on my porch ready to work. We weren't ready as there was stuff around the house that needed to be moved. We could have been on vacation or just not home when they showed. This company has been a joke from the time the contract was signed. I know why they want the reviews done while the salesman is in your home because they know service after that sucks!!! We started this crap show in January, windows were supposed to be here end of April first of May and nothing. I contacted the office and was told they were in production. Finally towards the end of May after more phone calls and threatening to cancel our 40k custom windows we had an install date. They showed up with a broken window and screens that were not great. I called the office immediately and was informed they knew the window was broken and had already ordered a new one. Here we are 3 months later and still no window. We get nothing but excuses. I've also informed them that some of the windows will not lock any longer. I have asked for their warranty since the beginning and still have not received it. A number of phone calls and texts to the Idaho Falls office and corporate still nothing. They say they are veteran friendly and have no debt, that's because they screw people out of 40k and leave work unfinished. They would get less than 1 star from us. Our contract which we executed in mid-November indicates we will have new siding in February. No one has contacted us this month but we began asking about the fish scale siding in January and have still not had a contact from the salesman or his supervisor even though the receptionist indicated we would. We had asked that the specialty siding be delivered prior to the contractor coming so that it can be painted since that is our portion of the overall project. No siding, no calls, no contractor, no response. PLEASE - Give us a call, DaBella people! I am even more concerned now that I've read the reviews. DaBella sales reps, Dave and Andrew, came to my house for a quote, loved what I was hearing, seeing, the whole works, decided we would try. Filled out the application was told by Dave should hear something Monday maybe Tuesday, Andrew had to leave to another appointment, work with 13 banks, should not be a problem. Receive a call Monday afternoon from Dave, just checking in have not heard from the banks yet, if not today will be tomorrow (Tuesday), receive no further call until Wednesday morning from Andrew. However, our son was told approval information from one company on our application Monday evening, he is not listed on application nor does he live with us. I am asked on Wednesday if my son would be willing to cosign for the loan since he is friends with Josh (sounds like trying to cover tracks since we still were never told any information our son was told) need cosigner for bank or do a cash basis, then Wednesday afternoon a home improvement credit card is being opened in my husband's name, which we reported as fraud because we never agreed to a credit card account and a credit card limit is not going to be $30,000. Told them we are done give back deposit. Was told I had to do the cancellation process on application (that was never discussed) until I stated our credit being discussed with my son, then it was the check is at district office on Woodruff you can come pick it up anytime they close at 5. read more

We had windows and our roof replaced. Our windows were installed correctly and look great. Our $23,000 newly replaced roof leaked for over a year. We had a 40 year old cedar shake roof that we replaced only because we live in a high fire risk area--no leaks. We called multiple times, we were promised a roofer would come out, general managers changed, nothing happened. Nearly a year later, we made daily phone calls, called Home Advisor, and GAF (shingle company). When GAF got involved, that's when something (not much) started to happen. A roofer showed up. No work done. It took 14 months for a roofer to finally come and re-shingle a section of the roof. We now have damage done to our siding. We still are not sure whether the roof will leak again since we have snow but it hasn't melted yet. Poor customer service and follow up after the sale for sure!
