A friend turned me onto Craig with CR Mechanical for help with my AC. I had a tech from Assured Heating come out previously and he told me I needed a new AC, he could install one for about 7k he assured me, this was after he spent about 10 minutes outside looking at the unit. After some rambling he said he can make it work by changing out the dryer ( $1000+) but it wouldn't be guaranteed to last. He applied about 1/2lb of refrigerant and charged me $350. CR Mechanical came out the next day and not only did he go through the entire system, he explained everything that was going on. He found that the previous yahoo from Assured overcharged the system and explained that the drier wasn't the problem ; he proved this by taking temperature differential across system components. He determined that the A coil and orifice were likely the issues. All that troubleshooting and he charged less than half of what the other guy charged. He presented 3 options to move forward, I choose to replace the coil and he completed all the work for under $1500. Couldn't ask for a better technician and businessman. Again... call CR Mechanical for any HVAC issues, you'll be satisfied and comfortable:)

This would also require another camera charge. I was fine with it because I wanted a working dryer. Turns out, the thing blocking the the vent was just lint and when they found that out they were apologetic and made sure to get the job done right this time with no extra charge. I can say that nobody is perfect but you can count on this business to make it right if they make any mistakes!
