From the outside you wouldn't recognize this place, and there is a bell you have to ring in order to get in. Inside it is a tiny place withe about 10 tables. We had a reservation and I would recommend to make one, just in case. We had scallops and tuna, which were both very giod, the scallops even better and a very good white wine. Before the meal we got a self made salad with basil dressing and afterwards we got self made sweets. In the end we got some kind of lemon/orange liquor. In shorts words, friendly, delicious, not too expensive, an absolute recommendation if someone visits Genova!

Came here to shop a few times during our 8-night stay in town. We've known the shop from other…read morevisits before. It's a mid-sized shop with everything you might need. Good wine selection, fruits and veggies. Also fresh fish, seafood and meat counter. We bought some nice Bottarga, lots of canned tuna and anchovies. Seafood broth. Fresh chicken and beef. Veggies and salad. Some milk and soda. Also needed a cookie box - and found it here. Quality was good, prices are fair. You pay at the cashier (cash or card) or you can you the convenient self-checkout. Accepts even small coins or also cards. The shop might look a bit dark and dated inside, but it was a good shopping experience and we've found everything we've needed.

It's the one with the baby in the circle if you happen to be a water snob like me. It's a challenge to find decent tasting bottled water throughout Italy. So much of the bottled water tastes odd, even if the tap water is fine to drink. I was told by a reliable American that the best water thus far had been in Firenze, and the worst was in Venezia. At any rate, it's better than SoCal water which I won't touch. I can't help it that I was always spoiled with good water my whole life! Anyway, they had tons of my water here, all for--get this--30 cents for a big bottle. No wonder the Italians complain about the prices of our drinks! That's how they should be priced. I didn't even get a chance to check out the wine and cheese but I was happy. The self serve check out was faster than SoCal, too which is why this has to be a four!
