Super unprofessional. If your reading this hear me out on why... My father is disabled he takes one day at a time with all the pain he suffers. He was trying to do a good deed for my Grandmother to make her happy since she suffers from ammonia every so often. My father found this company and would speak highly of them UNTIL the work started and I went over and noticed unnecessary drilled holes in the cabinets , uneven alignment next to the fridge, how squished the fridge was in those "custom" cabinets, how the ceiling got damaged like they forced them in, etc. The sadness/frustration through this whole process has been sickening to me on how they can do this to someone. Unprofessionalism the refusal to take responsibility of one mistakes and that's exactly what they did. Super disappointed in this company!

Let me start off by saying that my wife and I are two of the most analytical, detail-oriented people you might have the misfortune of dealing (from the perspective of a craftsman or installer). We have a very small kitchen and had some very specific requests, and numerous follow-up questions as we worked through the quote and planning process. Not only is Dan Alarco one of the easiest and most responsive contractors we have ever worked with, he's also a super friendly and fun guy. He was kind enough to drive to our place TWICE before we even committed to the project. He also fielded a myriad of phone calls and text messages, always with a great attitude and not a hint of frustration or annoyance. This alone sets him apart from the hundreds of other contractors we have interacted with over the past 15 years. Poor communication is an immediate deal-breaker when it comes to anyone that are we considering hiring, as I have found it is often indicative of a foreboding absence of meticulousness. We have extremely high standards, and I would not be writing this review if Dan had not met them. In fact, he was the only one of the several contractors we had bid this job that really took a lot of time and precision with the initial measurements. Our kitchen is very small and the drawer clearance near the oven was already an issue. The fact that we wanted to add handles made things even more complicated, but Dan worked with us over several days to figure out a solution, and it really came down to fractions of an inch in many cases. Our initial goal was to refinish our original (circa. 1970) cupboard and kitchen cabinet doors, but keep the underlying cabinetry, which is still in fine condition. At the outset, we had not decided between lacquer paint and thermofoil (basically hard plastic shrink wrap). Thermofoil is definitely the more common of the two. Most contractors we interviewed pushed the thermofoil, as it's likely easier and cheaper to do. Since we wanted white doors and we have other white paint (door frames, windows, molding etc.) that would not be part of this project, we decided on the lacquer paint (this was also Dan's recommendation) because we didn't want to risk anything elsewhere in the house not matching. Dan told us that he would manufacture the doors and that David Lusiak would handle all of the painting, both on and off site. David also came to our house twice (separately from Dan) before the job began to measure and answer our many questions and follow-ups. David was as responsive and easy to work with as Dan was, though the communication between the two wasn't always 100% fluid. We occasionally felt like we had to do some of the coordination work, which wasn't ideal, but it definitely wasn't a big deal. In the end, the project took around 3 months from start to finish - far longer than we anticipated. Much of this time was just due to us deciding how exactly we wanted to proceed, and having Dan re-quote us after some initial revisions. The painting work done on site (in our house) took around 6-7 days in total (over the course of around 2 weeks), which is far longer than we expected, and honestly it was quite an inconvenience. David did his best to accommodate us (tried to plastic off the work zone, leave us access to key areas, etc.), but just having all of our kitchen items in boxes for 2-3 weeks was unexpectedly taxing on us in a way we didn't anticipate. This wasn't anyone's fault - just the nature of the situation. David was attentive and detail-oriented, but still missed some spots and had to come back to do some touch-ups. Additionally, although he taped and attempted to seal off our living room from the kitchen paint/spray zone, he didn't do a sufficient job, so after the main day of spraying, our entire living room and all of the things within were covered in paint dust. In some ways, I expect that this is unavoidable, but it was an unpleasant surprise. The last step was the installation of the doors (which were painted off-site), the drawer-boxes, and finally the outside hardware (pulls and handles). Seth did the bulk of the installation work and he was fantastic. It took him two days to do everything and he was great. Dan and David were both also on-site during the last couple of days to ensure everything went smoothly. All in all, though, we know everything can't always be perfect and we were very satisfied with work that was done. The price we paid was very reasonable, and I doubt anyone could have done a better job, all things considered. I see several recent 1-star reviews that all seem to be saying the same thing - something about incorrectly drilled holes. I sincerely doubt these are legitimate; Dan and his team were consummately professional, careful, and precise. I would 100% use them again and highly recommend them to anyone else who is as obsessed with perfection as we are.

Thank you Dan from DA Cabinets. We are satisfied with the work and service and just overall dealing with you as a good person was a pleasure. I learned a lot from you as you have vast experience and will be happy to educate the customer and take the time to explain. You are also valuable for guidance in which direction to go regarding tiny details that make a huge difference. Thank you for your fair price and great personal service to your clients. I highly recommend Dan for residential, commercial, or even hospitality industry jobs as I've seen his work. His shop, tools, trucks, box trucks, equipment and materials are all top notch. You will not get cheap work from Dan.

Dan's team recently refinished and painted my kitchen cabinets. The old kitchen was 90s lacquered wood - a lot of damage as the previous owner didn't take good care of it and had pets. Dave (painter) did a superhuman job of repairing and painting the cabinets, Seth re-framed cabinets around the new washer and installed the hardware. Both were friendly and professional as well as responsive when I needed a touch-up after. I would recommend them for your project.

Somehow fit everything I wanted in to my little kitchen! Including this gorgeous island!

Thank you Dan for a better than I could ever imagine kitchen! We interviewed some large companies and just didn't feel comfortable with any of them. My husband found Dan on an internet search and thought,"let's give him a call". We could tell from our initial meeting that he understood what we were looking for. I was still a little apprehensive about using a smaller company, I'm not sure why...Anyway we couldn't be more thrilled! The quality is incredible! He was in constant touch with us throughout the entire process and would stop by anytime we had the smallest question! Customer service is impeccable! i have and will continue to highly recommended DA cabinets to all my family and friends!

We recently went through two bathroom renovations. While we hired a primary contractor we opted to outsource the vanity builds and install to DA Cabinets. Dan saved us both time and money. He was communicative, reliable and accommodating to our contractors fluctuating schedule. He was creative in customizing our master bath vanity from one sink to two, while still keeping with its unique layout. Both bathroom vanities are well-made, with real wood (not MDF). We are so happy we found Dan and know he'll be the first person we contact for any future cabinet needs.

We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. We cannot recommend Haynes too much.
