I have 14 years of experience ordering printed items- never has a printer asked to be paid up…read morefront. I was able to negotiate to paying 1/2 up front - but this did not work out well as completion dates were uncertain. Alex is a very nice man, just seems quite unorganized. He did three projects for me and the printing was good quality. If you are using them for a one-off project, you may be fine. But it may be a challenge for long-term/ repeat customers. For one, there is no price list- and I found the pricing to be erratic and inconsistent. For example, my price per piece should be significantly LOWER for 244 pieces than it was for 72 pieces. I cancelled a 235 piece order over pricing inconsistencies. I do close to 1000 pieces a year, and they hang up was over what would have come to $48. Just didn't make sense to me. I was disappointed to have to find a new printer over such an amount- but there was never a price list and the quotes didn't make sense. I don't believe they are at the location full time- my shirt supplier sent items straight to this business, but one time they don't know where they were because they went to a neighbor, another time, FED EX was unable to deliver and they boxes went back to FED EX- I was never told this until the last minute- and the boxes got sent back to the shipper and cost me close to another $100 to get BACK to CA (and to another printer.) This situation was completely avoidable and acceptable and added weeks to the completion time. On of my projects seemed to get lost in the goings on and took weeks with me making follow up calls and resending info I had already given. Again, they are nice people, but if you are a professional business that is dependent on time and consistent pricing and communication, you will likely find yourself frustrated.

Alexander Printing and Embroidery does amazing work. I had them embroider my friend's company logo…read moreon a couple of duffle bags that I brought them. I appreciated that they took the time to talk to me about what I wanted to get done and to walk me through some options/suggestions, as well as sending me proofs of what the embroidery would look like. Once I settled on a final design, they got the work done quickly - and, when I came to pick up the bags, I was blown away by how good the embroidery looked. The bags were part of a gift that I had put a lot of time and effort into, and the embroidery was a big part of the impact I was going for, and what Alexander Printing did for me looked even better than I had hoped for. I was thrilled with the work - and, even more importantly, so was the person the gift was for!

I brought a personal item here to get embroidered for my fiancé in time for Valentine's Day. This…read morewas a very small but special project agreed upon to be done on a certain date before I brought it in. It was a simple phase on a pocket square that he would wear on our wedding day. The price was high for a small project but due to the great reviews - I felt it was justified to make sure it turns out well and look professionally done. Initially they were great with showing you pictures of the placement and helping with font and size suggestions and were quick to communicate through email Then I was called ON THE DAY that my project was due to say that they've damaged my item beyond repair - oil stains or some sort of stain created by the process of the machine. They have took it upon themselves to reorder my item from the original vendor and are now waiting for the item to come in (unknown amount of days). While I appreciate them taking the initiative to replace and fix it (luckily it can be replaced)- I'm still without the sentimental gift I had planned ahead for tomorrow. I did wish there was communication prior to the due date After the owner also called to follow up and apologized and did his best to rectify the situation. The communication thereafter was also great in updating when my product came in and estimated time of completion. They were nice enough to ship it to me as it was hard for me to find a time to pick it up during work hours. I ended up getting my product and we are satisfied with the end result and it turned out as I hoped.

I had a custom computer part I needed machined out of aluminum panel and found Ray on 100k Garages…read more Most of the other places I spoke to didn't have any idea of the details that I wanted to do. They had all thought I wanted something to be laser cut (straight through). I needed straight through cuts but I also needed "V" cuts for hand braking and counter sunk holes which can only really be done by CNC or hand machining. Ray took a look at my design and understood what I wanted to do. Throughout the estimating process he was very helpful in telling me what could and couldn't be done by machine. I asked for square corners. He informed me there would be a small radius because of the drill bits. And then he offered to file them square for me. His shop is out of his garage but the tool and equipment list I saw was definitely for a professional shop and not a hobbyist doing side work. I sent him a materials deposit so he could get the aluminum I specified and a few days later, I get 2 good copies of my design when I had only requested for 1. Ray says he likes to make a test run and a final run. He also sent me a very obvious test run sample which I assume he adjusted the tooling with to get my good copies. I did get the pieces a few days later than he had estimated and he acknowledged that he was late. Ray deducted that time from my invoice without me having asked for it. Its nice to know that he has high standards for himself. I would definitely recommend having Ray take a look at what you need machined. I'll go to him again in the future if I ever need custom metal pieces.
