Enough is Enough…read more I've been a member here for about 10 years, and the outdoor hot tub is CONSTANTLY broken or closed. And guess what? They never bother to update the app when it's shut down. You show up, pay their ever-increasing fees, and the amenities you came for are just... unavailable. And suddendlty the hot top ( when is working) is closed at sunset... since when? I've complained to the front desk multiple times, and absolutely nothing changes. It feels like they don't fix things until people blast it publicly. For a gym this expensive, this level of upkeep and communication is ridiculous.

It often takes a long time for machine repairs, but they have so many machines that you can always find something else to work with, without compromising your workout regimen. This gym has RACQUETBALL courts, lap pool, basketball gym, group-ex room, & group cycling room! These type of variety is not offered at any smaller gyms. They do not open 24 hours since pandemic, but opening at 5am is early enough in my opinion. Check out the group exercise schedule, you'll see the variety of classes. They have many cardio machines - treadmills, elliptical, stationary bikes, & 2 rowing machines - plenty to choose from. There are TVs in front of the cardio machines, so u can watch your favorite show, sport event, or news while you work out. This is an aging gym, but it has so many amenities & offers good variety of group classes (all included in your membership fee). The lack of shiny machines, counters, & walls do not bother me, as it does NOT affect the quality of your workout. If you're serious about working out, the new year special of $215/year is totally worth it! Sadly, they do not market their specials much (most of the time you would have to walk into the facility to find what specials they have) & the complicated membership structures for family friends/family are counterproductive for recruitment of new members.

I have higher expectations from the YMCA, but now I know they will never meet the needs of my family. I am being told to reach out to the Chief Operations Officer in order to cancel my membership--to cancel a membership! Otherwise I am on the hook for over $500 of services I will never use. I'm used to compromises, guests being accommodated, and moving forward in positive directions. Clearly, my standards are too high and this YMCA will never reach them. Stay away and go somewhere else!

I have been at the pool the last 3 weekends (4 Xs total) this Summer and it is truly 5 stars! The check in is super easy. I paid $5 each time (a discount for C.Hill) residents as well as your guest. They do take cash or card which is convenient. The line is never long, really non existent most of the time. Parking is a breeze especially if you get there for open swim which begins at 12 noon. The majority of the lounge chairs are shaded and you don't have to worry about anyone taking/moving your belongings as you enjoy the water. The lazy river is extremely clean and well kept and the floaties are in abundance and FREE! Everyone is respectful in the pool! At any given time there can be newborn babies to the seniors and every age in between so being courteous is just as important as having fun! The music is great too! They play EVERYTHING including Spanish songs on Cedar Hill Tunes. There is one lazy river, one slide which is so much fun and never a long line, as well as a larger pool that is wheelchair assessable too. It was in this pool that my BF taught me to swim this Summer so the Cedar Hill Lagoon will forever be memorable to me! They also have about 7 cabanas that you can rent out for your private event. The bathrooms have great air flow and are pretty well kept with no trash on the ground an I definitely appreciated the cleanliness. They also have showers too. The lifeguards are also professional and they appear to have fun too. There is food available if you get hungry. A CH police officer does make his/her round at the pool too so it definitely makes you feel safe an at ease. I hope the Lagoon continues to be a fun, clean, memorable place for my future summers!

They have the patience of angels and their methods are highly effective. They really make the classes kid-friendly. Our 8 y.o. is very anxious, emotionally heightened, and shy by nature and takes a while to get comfortable in new environments. Last year, she played basketball and she was so anxious that she was in tears during the first four practices. Since starting Taekwondo at K-Tiger, her confidence has grown noticably. She just started soccer and went out there like a different person. She was making friends, having fun, and unafraid to learn new things. Our 4 y.o. is the polar opposite and has so much energy.
