I have to give high praise for the gentleman working the day we came in. Had to print off some…read moreryanair tickets as our airbnb host didn't have a printer (stupid ryanair fees!). Helped everybody in the queue, got our few items printed, but the icing on top of the cake: The zipper on my boots broke (unfixable, on holiday & only have a pair of running shoes as back up, these were my fav go to boots to wear w/ everything!) & this man not only directed us to the nearest shoe repair store, but he fixed me up (i.e. taped my boots so I could wear them around til I could get to said shoe repair store and/or a store to purchase new shoes ;-) I felt like Cinderella as the prince was fitting her glass slipper, the way he carefully taped my boots. This man went above & beyond his call of duty, thank you sir!

Why? I have no idea. They came up when I searched, their prices were reasonable and so I entrusted them with collecting 5 boxes from me (Glasgow South Side) and taking them to Glasgow's East End, same day. I actually had no idea how much that service would cost but was impressed when the price came in at £23 for small van (other options are bike or big van). I booked for collection at 9am and the guy showed up about 10 minutes early. He was super friendly and chatty (more than most couriers) and was impressed by my laziness when I had kept the boxes in the car (meaning he didn't have to lug them down the stairs). Just over an hour later I got a beep on my phone & email to say the boxes had been delivered. I'd normally do that kind of delivery myself but from now on I'll definitely consider getting these guys as their price was so reasonable and the service was so easy to use. Happy days.

So often I've just missed the postman with a parcel that I have that I have been waiting for by a…read morematter of minutes and finding the delivery note on the Mat. Royal Mail have a delivery office/ collection point where you can pick up your undelivered recorded mail provided that you collect within 18 days and bring your slip with a form of recognised identification with you. The mornings are the best time to collect your parcels as as the office is normally quieter, loads of people go after work, with Christmas time being a nightmare.

Let's be realistic, nobody is going to come here unless they have to. In the past I've been pretty unimpressed with the service here. I've often arrived to be told my parcel isn't here, or that they can't find it. Occasionally I've even been given other people's mail by mistake and had to explain that no, that's not me or my address and ask them to check again. I think I've seen more customers losing their tempers with staff in this building than I've seen in any other. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they have late opening hours on Wednesdays which makes it possible to collect parcels after work. When I arrived there was no queue of angry customers (there were no customers at all) and I had my parcel in my hands in record time. Maybe they've improved recently. It's still only enough to get 3 stars from me but I definitely recommend taking advantage of those late opening hours.

I had been to several places prior that were unable to help me and I had just about given up when someone suggested giving a go here. I'm so glad that I did because they were helpful, kind, and knowledgeable- to top it off, I had the opportunity to have a lovely chat with the people at the desk (as well as interacting with a dog called Olive). What every seasoned traveler finds by moving around is that unexpected things happen and it's not so much what happens to us as it is what we do with the collection of experiences. This is one of those times. It could've easily been an unfortunate day and by all means, it's normal to feel human emotions. But what I can say is that things have a way of turning the way they are meant to, as evidenced by having authentic connection with everyone here. I understand that we need shops like Mail Box Etc but this is one of the most tedious shops in the…read morehistory of man. If I force myself to look past the widescreen boredom that is this shop then I can appreciate that it is actually filled with very useful services. If you need a special mail box because you don't trust the one at your house then this is a good shop to go to. If like me you need to get lots of things photocopied and have very little money I give this a big Yelp stamp of approval. It also offers quite cheap Internet access so if you are in the area and freak out about needing to update your Twitter or check how much spam your email account has then pop in.

I would have thought trying to book a taxi on Christmas Day would be a nightmare but on calling…read morethere where no issues and so l booked my journey. The driver that took me to destination was not sure where he was and had to ask me for directions in the end l had to look up google maps on my phone to find our way. The taxi stank badly of stale cigarette smoke & eggs,the fair was £20.00. On the homeward journey l booked the same taxi service again. The driver was polite & chatty but the fair was only £12.00. With going to the same destinations you would have thought the fair would have been the same or similar, something is wrong it there is £8.00 if a difference before tip.
