The reception and admin staff are polite and courteous, making efforts to accommodate your appointment and work around your schedule, often calling you back if a more convenient slot becomes available. They are very professional and maintain patient confidentiality, and speak about patients respectfully when talking to each other (which I have seen reception staff fail to do in so many other practices). The waiting rooms are clean and comfortable, displaying useful information and calling you to the surgery rooms via a large screen. There is even an electronic check-in desk where you can sign in for your appointment when the reception desk is very busy. All of the doctors and practice nurses I have seen have been professional and caring, and I would recommend this surgery to anyone living in the catchment area.

Once you get an appointment though, the Doctors are lovely - even locums, very thorough and they do take the time to explain things. Parking can be difficult around the surgery. The receptionists are actually quite nice! The waiting room is plain but clean and comfortable. The asthma nurse is fantastic with kids and really helped my son with explaining everything to him in a way he could understand.

Bridge Road Medical Center is my and my family doctors. It is just around the corner from the train…read morestation and has a bus stop right in front of it so its easy to get to. I think all together there are about 4-5 doctors stationed here and i have probably seen most of them either myself or with one of my daughter in the 5 years i have been registered there.They are all very professional and happy to see you. To get an appointment at this doctors (after you have registered there) you have to call up in the morning are ask for a time to come,Unless you ask for a certain doctors they will put you with whoever is available. There is also a nurse clinic and the midwife has a clinic there on a Thursday.There is a baby clinic but am not sure when that it. There is a car park but most of the spaces are reserved for doctorsthere are however a few for patients.

So far they have been great when arranging appointments and I've yet to be refused. They have a new arrival system where you auto check in - it should be convenient but I haven't once not had to ask the receptionist about what its saying, often it tells me I'll have to wait over 60mins as they are running late -when in reality its fine! They also have a handy pharmacy on site, however if your appointment is after 3 I wouldn't bother as it's packed from then until closing on all the days I've been so far

I am currently visiting on a regular basis to get my travel vaccinations for various countries and the lovely nurse there Sue is full of friendly questions and great advice. As someone who is terrified of needles she makes me feel surprisingly at ease!! There is a pharmacy a few doors down which opens til 6ish so if you work 9-5 and live close-by this is a perfect medical practice to register with. I usually get a cancellation appointment if I phone early enough in the morning and I usually have no problem making regular appointments.
