Dr Corrado has been my doctor for the past 30 odd years, she is a very caring doctor. The staff are all very friendly and happy to help you with the slightest problem you may have, the waiting time is very minimal. read more

Staff are friendly, they get to know your face so you feel like they address you personally which…read moreis nice. It has a small and friendly feel to the surgery. As with all doctors these days though you can wait some time for an appointment unless you ring of a morning to get an 'emergency' appointment. Can be hard to get through on the phone at busy times ( i.e mornings ) The automated message is on later in the evening even though appointments run later on.. I was stuck in traffic and tried to call the surgery to warn them I was running a little late for my 6.30pm, but could not get through as the auto message was on instead. My own doctor left the surgery, I only found out by being told a few weeks later when trying to make an appointment, I was told that patients are not informed of these things which i think is a shame as some patients only like to see their own doctor. I was left unable to see a female doctor as mine had left and the other was on maternity leave. I do like this surgery though, its handy for me with children. The car park is so small though there's often no spaces. :-/

Appleton Village Surgery was (is?) my local GP's place. They have about 10 doctors there, some of…read morethem obviously better than others. The building is kinda old and skanky, but friendly in a weird north-of-England type of way. The worst thing about the place is how hard it is to get an appointment. A few years ago the government decided that you should always be able to get an appointment for the same day, which sounds great. However the way Appleton have implemented the edict is that you have to be ready by your phone at 8am ready to press redial over and over again for 30 minutes. If you phone at nine there will be no appointments left. It's like getting a Glastonbury ticket. Tough, but if you're determined you can get it.

Ok sometimes you might get a bit frustrated over the appiontment system , but if you treat the receptionist with respect and remeber that they have their work cut out trying to accomadate everyone . They will always try and help.. I have found nearly all the Doctors to be good , there is just one who i wouldnt see , and of course wouldnt mention here. On the hole we got marvelous treatment .. Yes the building is a bit depressing and not fit for purpose,,But so what!!!!!
