I think all together there are about 4-5 doctors stationed here and i have probably seen most of them either myself or with one of my daughter in the 5 years i have been registered there.They are all very professional and happy to see you. To get an appointment at this doctors (after you have registered there) you have to call up in the morning are ask for a time to come,Unless you ask for a certain doctors they will put you with whoever is available. There is also a nurse clinic and the midwife has a clinic there on a Thursday.There is a baby clinic but am not sure when that it. There is a car park but most of the spaces are reserved for doctorsthere are however a few for patients.

Also it was set up to service the houses in the Northgate Village Development so if you move into a house there you are automatically eligable to sign up. The reception staff are always very helpful and will do their best to get you an appointment at short notice. The doctors that I have seen there have been very professional (obviously!) and courteous, giving very helpful advice. You also feel that they are listening to you properly and giving you a good amount of time (they don't push you out of the door). The best thing is that there is a pharmacy build onto the surgery so you can very quickly pick up your perscriptions as well as usual cold, flu medicines, bandages etc. If you live in Northgate Village then you should definitely sign up, before you get ill!

its a pity that Dr Smerdon has retired now, he was a fantastic doctor, and looked after my…read morehelthcare from when i was very young. however, the other doctors at stockbridge village health centre are just as fantastic. there is nothing they wont do to make sure that you are as healthy as possible, and they offer support to you. the doctors were especially fantastic in the care of my grandma, and did everything they could to improve her quality of life. they were as shocked as we were when she died a couple of months ago, and have still been there to offer support to the family. ive been registered with a few doctors surgeries in liverpool through moving around, and i would say that these doctors are the best in the city. when i move back to liverpool, i will be moving back to that area so that i can go back under the care of this brilliant team of doctors.

I used to be registered here for many years. Have recently switched as I felt the standard of care…read morewas not as good as it could be. It can feel quite impersonal here. There are not so good at calling patients in for chronic disease check ups and really rely on you bringing yourself in for that. Reception is situated away from the waiting areas so you're less likely to ask those questions that pop into your head while you're waiting. If the doctor suggests you need to see the nurse for something, you have to make another appointment and come back another day. If you have tests done and the doctor is off when the results come back, you have to wait until they are back in work to find out.

What is it with receptionists at the doctors?…read more I have been with this doctor's surgery since I moved to Liverpool but the only reason I've stayed with them is for the actual medics in there. The reception staff are often rude and questioning about your reasons for an appointment. You are extremely lucky if you get an appointment, 2-3 weeks is the average wait it seems, if you declare it to be an emergency they will invite you to come and sit for around 3 hours until a GP is free. However, once you're in, you will receive some of the best GP care. The staff (particularly a female doctor - I won't mention her name) is brilliant. Almost seems normal! It's a shame I can't say the same for the nurse who took my blood pressure, she didn't seem competent at using the machine at all.

The staff on reception are very helpful and they seem to have a good computer system as they are very organised. On occasion, the surgey has been short staffed and waiting times have been increased ( I have been kept waiting up to an hour after my appointment slot). They have a good idea for handling the Flu Jab, handing out raffle tickets so everyone stays in order! There is a waiting time of 48hours for a repeat prescription to be processed. Overall, a nice surgery with modern decor and friendly atmosphere.
