We got a call a few hours after we dropped her off that she died during surgery. this was a puppy who was up-to-date on her shots, had just had a checkup, and was in overall good health aside from the breathing issues. She was young, happy, full of life, and healthy. We were horrified after receiving the call and went down to the vet as soon as possible to see her one last time. She was lying on the table still... lifeless. When we left the vet came to us and gave us the bill. She said she took $300 off for killing our dog. so they still charged us $350 and now an extra $160 for the cremation services. my wife and I were stunned. They killed our dog and charged us $500 for it? We essentially paid them $500 to kill our healthy, sweet puppy. I've never dealt with more cruel, greedy, awful people in my life. I'm sure they've moved on and are just happy to have gotten paid for their "service". If you love your pets, I implore you to go somewhere else. There was no accountability taken for what was done. Our puppy is dead, and that's that. On top of that. A dog had been hit and was being taken back into the operating area, and my wife and I received glares from multiple employees there like we were inconveniencing them by being there.

We informed them it was spelled wrong and they 'corrected' it as BISKIT... 2) We brought a sample in containing a worm and asked them to look at it. They called back and informed us that the sample tested negative. We were confused and asked for clarification on what exactly was tested? They said they didn't find anything. We reiterated that we brought in a sample containing a worm so how would there not be anything found when a worm was in the sample? They said they would go check again, and called back and said 'yepp there's a worm and 3 parasites'... 3) Called and they were confused because there were two dogs with the same first name and last name but spelled differently. We informed them that yes, that was your staff that incorrectly spelled her name TWICE so they ended up making two separate accounts which lead to confusion on their end anytime we called... 3) Fast forward about 6 months later, we received email reminders for her checkup. We called to make an appt and was told there was no record for a Biscuit in their system.... so how are we receiving emails? We have been there 4 times how are there no records? Receptionist got extremely rude and kept asking 'are you sure this is the right vet?' after we informed her for the 3rd time this was the correct vet, we have been there multiple times, and you are the one sending us emails. We told her either name it could be under and she continued to tell us there was no record but that someone with our dog's name did have the same last name, but a different first name... the spouses name was also the same name we had given them...the same phone numbers and the same emails....but you couldn't 'find it' and had 'no record?'.... 4) Told them we are done with this vet and their incompetence, and asked them to send over her records which we still have yet to receive.

Joe has no problem dealing with special needs nor does he charge extra :) One (100#) has severe arthritis and the other two (80# 7yo, 130# 1yo Dane puppy) try to kill each other (alpha female) and must be handled separately. We received daily updates (text & video) on how they were which was excellent, for the most part. Joe swiftly and effectively dealt with many issues as the days went by. He got to know each dog and their needs quickly and we will definitely take them back without hesitation!

Dogs unconditionally give us their all, even when we don't treat them as they deserve. We could learn a lot from them. They deserve to be treated like the family they are to us. At Punky's Canine Club (PCC), dogs can be on vacation while you're away. We allow dogs to be dogs, to roam freely, socialize and play under supervised conditions. At PCC, dogs are only crated by necessity. That does mean guests have to meet some simple requirements (listed on our website) so all can be safe and happy. PCC is also our home, so dogs are almost never left alone. If they must be due to necessity or emergency, they are crated and monitored by CCTV. This is a family business. We love and care for every dog in our care as if it were our own. We have leather furniture and large screen TV for the couch potatoes and plenty of toys and space for all. Come pay us a visit, meet Punky, our Border Collie/Lab mix and namesake of our business, Apollo, our happy-go-lucky English Labrador Retriever and Tucker, our friendly & rambunctious Pit mix and our newest and youngest PCCambassador-in-training and see if this is the right place for your furry family member. We're certain you'll find that PCC is what you've been looking for.

I believe if this is change is made that this location would be a good place to go. Also leaving the original post so this update actually makes sense*** I took my dog to this place over christmas this year and when I picked her up she was covered head to tail in a very serious staff infection. I am not sure where she picked her up and there was no way to be certain, but what I can say is that there is no way that they could have over looked this. If they had contacted me we might have been able to start meds sooner. When I took her to the vet I was getting asked questions to help streamline her treatment, but when I called they would only keep telling me that the manager was in a meeting and would call me as soon as possible. This is the excuse I got the next day too. So far the manager hasn't called me. Edit: To be clear (in response to Brian) I don't think it was caused by the stay there, but it did get significantly worse to the point that it would be impossible to not notice it. The only way it could happen is if nobody spent a lot of time with her, which was a service that I did pay for.

Three Years of Being Dismissed After Airway Surgery - My Honest Experience…read more Three years ago, I brought my French Bulldog, Bambina, to this hospital for nares widening and elongated soft palate (BOAS) surgery because she was having breathing difficulties. I had originally considered going to a specialist in Dallas with excellent reviews, but I chose this hospital because it was right across from my office and I trusted what I was being told. I was told this surgery would help her breathing. What I was not told at the time was that: * The surgery might not fully resolve her symptoms * Tissue could regrow * The correction might be insufficient * She could still struggle long-term Had I been clearly advised that the surgery might not work or could require future corrective procedures, I would have seriously reconsidered keeping her. French Bulldogs are expensive, and I had already invested thousands of dollars. I was not financially prepared to face repeated airway surgeries or watch a dog slowly suffer from something I believed would be corrected. Since the surgery, Bambina has continued to struggle. For three years, I brought her back repeatedly. I saw multiple doctors at this facility. I complained about: * Ongoing respiratory distress * Loud breathing even at rest * Exercise intolerance (she cannot walk even short distances, even at 5 AM) * Repeated sinus infections * Vomiting and inability to keep food or water down without risk of aspiration Over and over, I was reassured she was "fine." One night, listening to her gasping for air while awake, I was devastated. I realized I could not continue being dismissed. I requested to speak directly with the surgeon who performed the procedure, as she travels in from out of state and is not regularly available. I also wrote her a letter explaining the severity of Bambina's condition. She agreed to meet with me free of charge. At that appointment: * She acknowledged Bambina is not breathing correctly. * When I pointed out that her nostrils still appear extremely tight, she stated she "could have possibly opened them more." * When I asked how that made me feel about the soft palate portion of the surgery -- whether that too may not have been done aggressively enough -- she declined to discuss revision. * She stated she did not want to perform corrective surgery because I "didn't trust her." For clarity: I never said I did not trust her. I said I did not believe the surgery had been done adequately because my dog has struggled for three years. When I asked why I was never advised at the time of surgery that this procedure might not work or that new data suggests these surgeries may not always resolve airway issues, I was told that information more recently suggests that results can vary. That possibility was never explained to me beforehand. Instead of discussing solutions, she stated she would "let her insurance company handle it." After this appointment, I requested Bambina's medical records. I was told I would receive information within 24 hours. Several days passed without receiving records. When I followed up, I was informed that Bambina had been terminated as a patient of the clinic. After three years of loyalty -- and after bringing two French Bulldogs to this hospital -- my dog was dismissed after I advocated for her. Bambina did nothing wrong. She is just a dog struggling to breathe. Watching your dog gasp for air is heartbreaking. It is devastating to feel unheard for years, to finally be acknowledged, and then to be terminated from care. I am sharing this because pet owners deserve full transparency when making life-altering surgical decisions for brachycephalic breeds. Ask detailed questions. Ask about failure rates. Ask about revision policies. Ask what happens if symptoms persist. Advocating for your animal should never result in losing access to care. Shame on you, Dr. Carter I truly believe you should care more about your patience and their quality of life. and can you believe they had the nerve to tell us at the end? Bambina is no longer a patient there because I simply asked to advocate for her if you listen to this video that is gonna be underneath, you tell me $4000 later this is the surgery that went well absolutely not In the hospital's public response to my Google review, it was implied that this matter involved a request for reimbursement. That is not accurate. At no time did I request money back. I requested a medical discussion regarding possible revision because my dog continues to experience breathing difficulty. My sole objective has been corrective care and improved quality of life for my dog -- not financial compensation.
