There is no sign above the door yet but there is a sandwich board outside--I should've taken a picture of that too, but I was remiss. It's a small space with tall ceilings, chockablock with clothes, magazines, books, and other cool vintage finds, neatly displayed. I had a nice time chatting with Kevin, who was manning the store at the time of my visit. He also sources the higher end vintage clothes. There was a Sonia Rykiel coat from the 70s I was interested in (embellished with handmade ceramic buttons and butterfly appliqués by Pam), but alas, out of my budget. I was excited to find an Edvard Munch LACMA exhibition catalog from the 1960s, however, which WAS within my budget. They've only been open for a couple of months so their point of sale system isn't up yet and such, but I'm excited for a store like this in the area and wish it much success! It's mostly clothing and the quality is generally good. However, if you need furniture ask, because furniture is donated and sold but usually posted on-line and held elsewhere. It's called Julia's closet because Julia Morgan, the architect who designed Hearts Castle, designed the original building, making this Y and this location something of a historical landmark. The thrift store is in what was a garage at one point. Also outside, Julia's garden. An opportunity to buy potted succulents.
