Flowers were delivered on Christmas eve as a gift from my brother. He requested holiday flowers but was told only pink roses were left. They looked like this 3 days later. They might as well as grabbed the last bouquet at a convenience store. Great experience. I was looking to deliver some flower's to my wife's workplace in the area. After searching for several local florists online, I found one would not deliver for several days, and another had no choices - only "florists choice". With D McLeod, I was able to choose the specific bouquet and for same-day delivery. The delivery was FAST, and the delivery driver went above and beyond, as getting delivery to my wife's security-controlled, gated-access workplace is not easy. He called me directly and waited for my wife to come out and pick up the flowers. The arrangement was beautiful and lasted a long while. My wife was very happy with them. I don't know why there are bad reviews here for D McLeod, but my experience was excellent. read more

My son has been ordering flowers for me through D McLeod florists for years and they have always been on time and gorgeous. Never a problem. This past Mother's Day (5/7/2023), the flowers were left on my porch, which has happened in the past, but this time, the arrangement was off balance, flowers were already tinged in brown and some were already dry and broken. I contacted McLeod's. They were so responsive and replaced the bouquet in a day, which by the way, is beautiful. I'm very pleased with my communication with Fred and Jeannie. I've been buying flowers from them for years for graduations, weddings, funerals, mother's day, etc., and highly recommend them for any flower needs. read more

My wife ordered the "Spring has Sprung" basket for our daughter, who moved into a new office. She dealt with Jane. She chose to find a florist local to our daughter's office, as opposed to using one of the big corporate 1-800 kind of places, to insure the quality. With good reviews, she chose D McLeod. When our daughter sent us a picture of what she received, it looked NOTHING like what she ordered. There weren't three different kinds of flowers, there was a tacky pink bow attached and it just looked cheap! My wife spoke to Jane, who at first said she had made it. When my wife described it, and mentioned the tacky bow, Jane then said she didn't think she made it. She promised to get with the owner and get back with my wife. That was Tuesday. Today is Thursday. THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE THOUGHT WE'D MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE TO USE A REPUTABLE, LOCAL SOURCE, AS OPPOSED TO A BIG CORPORATION. WE WISH WE HAD CHOSEN OTHERWISE. This was the absolutely worst floral delivery experience I have ever had. I tried to order a same day delivery order for my mother who had just moved to the area and was feeling lonely on her birthday. They charged my card, but did not deliver the flowers. I called the next day, they were able to see the order, and the charge in their system, but no details, such as what the order was, how much it cost, birthday card note, etc. I went through all of the details again with their staff on the phone. Made sure they had BOTH my phone number and my mothers phone number and made sure to tell them that they must call because her buzzer was not working. They repeated back all the information promised they would be delivered that day. My mother was at home all day, with her phone, expecting flowers. Nothing was delivered. The next day was Sunday, and they were closed. I called the shop again (Tuesday now, because Monday was too hectic to call) and spoke to the owner. He first said he had been at the apartment 3 times to try to deliver them. When I asked why he did not call either me or her when he was trying to deliver them, he told me he called. When I told him I had seen my mother on Sunday, and her call log showed she received ZERO calls that day, he then told me he didn't have her number. This was followed by a statement saying, "I think I have yours was it xxx-xxx-xxxx", which was actually her number. So no, he did not call her phone. I have attached the order confirmation I have that shows they have address/phone/ etc. for both of us. Bottom line - they are happy to take your money, but clearly have some issues with how they handle their ordering system, details, and honesty. I tried to find a local florist to handle the delivery. Just called to have flowers delivered today, Mother's Day. I spoke to the owner, she told me that Mother's Day is the 2nd biggest flower day of the year, right after Valentine's Day. But she won't deliver flowers today. This is exactly what she said, "It was a busy week. We're tired." A flower shop on the second busiest flower days of the year doesn't want to deliver flowers! She wanted me to come to her, because she's tired - Really? Really! She thinks I called a flower deliver business to NOT deliver flowers? You should know, we've been their customer for nearly 25 years. But today she encouraged me to find a better florist. She encouraged me to find a florist that want to take care of floral customers on their second busiest (and I assume profitable) days of the year.... How ironic on Mother's Day that they birthed a customer for their competitor. read more

Would never recommend this place, used to be fantastic now disgusted with them. Ordered flowers as a thank you for my mother in law and told them to "deliver them to apartment B, down the side walk to the right of the house" we live in a house with an in-law apartment. They dropped them on the side walk and left them there, no knock or anything. They ended up spilling over and getting ruined. I called to complain and the owner came back to the house with a watering can. Thanks but I have a sink. Figured he would want to try and turn it into a positive customer service experience but no he told me someone left instruction to leave them like that, I am the one that left the instruction, I don't remember telling them to dump them on their side and walk away. Owner was rude, he says he's going to credit me half of the cost. These flowers will prob be dead tomorrow. Worst experience ever, took the gesture and made our Monday horrible. Don't order from here, worst customer service and rude owner. read more

I'll spare you the details, but they were the second place I called after placing an order elsewhere then only to be called 2 hours later and told they can't deliver today because placing the order at 10am wasn't early enough. I then called D. McLeod Florists, placed an order in 5 minutes and the flowers were delivered 1 hour later! Whenever I've needed to have flowers delivered to my mother, I've always called McLeod's directly and they have always very promptly delivered them, and although I've never seen them, my mother is always very pleased with the arrangement that they've selected for the occasion. read more
