Incredible customer service! I ordered an arrangement to send to someone who just had surgery. Cobblestone delivered a beautiful arrangement only to learn when they got there that the recipient was really allergic to most flowers. I had no idea. She took the card but asked them to take the flowers back. The owner called me and told me what had happened and told me he had refunded my money. I was really surprised. I had placed an order through Teleflora and they sent the order to Cobblestone Design. The arrangement that was delivered wasn't even close to what was ordered. When I called them to inquire about the quality they said that they didn't have the flowers that were in the order so they were approved to use "designers choice" valued at $59.99. We were out enjoying the Midnight Merriment Celebration tonight and having a great time but our experience at Cobblestone ruined our night. Before tonight it was one of my favorite stores. It was crowded and hot so my daughter said she would wait for me in the lobby. I saw so many great things. One item caught my eye. It was $95. I took a photo of it and planned to come back for it later. I was so excited showing my daughter the photo in the lobby when a worker interrupted us "Did you buy everything in the store?" Uh I wasn't quite sure what he meant by that. I said noooo but I saw something I liked and excitedly showed him the photo. He was not interested and proceeded to say he needed me to open my jacket. I thought he was joking. I said "Are you serious?" He said "Yes". He didn't ask anybody else to open their jackets. Accused of shoplifting!! I was the only Asian in the store. Was he being racist? I don't know. It was one or the other or both. After I unzipped my jacket and he saw that I was not hiding anything he didn't even apologize. This is going to be a long, in-depth review but I encourage anyone who is looking for a florist for their wedding to carefully read this. PLEASE do not let what happened to me, happen to you. My wedding was November 2014 and I had started talking with Cobblestone in January 2014 (10 months prior). Laurie (the wedding flower contact) sent me photos of some arrangements she quickly put together based on what I was requesting. I figured roses & hydrangeas would help achieve the look I wanted, but I said I was open to suggestions. Laurie agreed that roses and hydrangeas would look great, but the photo she sent me had very yellow/cream-colored roses. I said I liked the overall look of the roses/hydrangea together but I did NOT like the color of the roses. I said I was looking for a stark white rose, to which Laurie replied, they had a stark white variety of rose (not pictured) that they could use so that everything coordinated well for me. In March, I went into Cobblestone for a meeting with Laurie to look at the centerpiece design and to finalize our contract. The centerpiece was very cute and we also decided Laurie would write C + L with a heart drawn around it to coordinate with my theme. The writing was done in black on the mock centerpiece, which I liked. Fast forward to the day of my wedding. The florist is scheduled to arrive at 2:15. About 4 phone calls back and forth, the driver shows up at 2:45. It turns out the driver was using A MAP, and not a GPS. When he finally showed up, 40 minutes late , he ran in and dropped the box off, and then ran out. Barely said a word. Are you kidding me?! In this day and age, what WEDDING VENDOR does not invest in a GPS? I just spent $1,500 and they can't invest in a $150 piece of equipment they would use all the time? I opened the box and the the roses in my bouquet were yellow (even more yellow looking than the photo Laurie sent me, to which I said I did not like and wanted stark white!) and the hydrangeas in the bouquet were totally squished...not even noticeable! With closer inspection, the few pink roses in my bouquet were all browned around the edges! My wedding coordinator and I had to spend time picking off the browned petals (this is how I spent my time prior to my ceremony). Even everyone in my wedding party said "didn't you want the roses to be white?" After the ceremony (we've had the flowers for maybe 3 hours at this point), the bridesmaids' bouquets were WILTING (they were hydrangea and babies breath)! Then we get to the reception and my centerpieces had "C+L" and the heart drawn on the ribbon in GOLD, not black as we had agreed on. It wasn't noticeable AT ALL, especially in a dimly lit room. After my wedding, I wrote to Laurie expressing my issues, and she was apologetic and explained the roses were the "whitest variety available" (I have an email from her dated 1/17 saying they have a "stark white variety" they can use that will coordinate much better. She told me when she used the black marker on my centerpieces that it looked cheesy, so she decided to use the gold and was sorry she didn't ask my permission. I appreciated her using her judgment but I would have preferred the black over the gold and wished she would have called to ask me. Next, she told me that hydrangeas don't do well out of water for a long period of time. My bridesmaids' bouquets were only in our possession for 3 hours and they were wilting!!! If hydrangeas are THAT water sensitive, why in the hell wouldn't she recommend I pick something else? She knew that I was open to ideas...I said this SEVERAL times. Lastly, she offered a $100 refund. Less than a 10% refund for ALL of the hassle and disappointment I went through?! I went back to Laurie and explained I did not find this sufficient, especially considering my bouquet alone cost over $130. She confirmed $100 is the best they could offer. I then emailed the owner. Rick, the owner, is completely arrogant and refuses to take accountability. His response began with: "I apologize for the slight delay in delivery. At least we made it there before the ceremony." Instead of addressing my other concerns, he pointed out that after reviewing the emails between Laurie and me, he was shocked that I "did everything" via email and did not come in for a consultation (which I did...in MARCH!) He completely blamed me for "not getting what I wanted" since I didn't come in to the shop (even though I did!!!). I hastily responded to him telling him that the lack of communication he has with his staff is clear since he thinks I didn't come in for a consultation, and that he is refusing to take accountability for anything SEVERELY disappointed in this place and I'm kicking myself for using them. I cannot believe they treat customers this way and manage to stay in business. I've been in customer service for 10 years and would be so ashamed of myself if I treated a client like this. This is my mom's favorite florist in Concord. Now that I do not live in the area, I always call Cobblestone to order her flowers, since I know they are her favorite. I have never encountered such friendly people who consistently turn out a perfect arrangement no matter the occasion. They take requests on type of flower, color, etc., but I always just say I'd like a colorful arrangement for $X and they make it happen. There's a $5 delivery fee but they usually can deliver day of. Cobblestone's Designs are always stunning. Contemporary, beautiful stuff. The first flowers my husband ever sent me (when we were dating) came from them and they were spectacular - if I had been on the fence about him, the flowers might have tipped me over ;) I ordered my flowers from them for our wedding. We were trying to have a huge wedding (300 guests) on a really limited budget. I decided that I would need to just order flowers for specific purposes, so I got a bouquet for myself, a bouquet for my step-daughter, a boutonniere for my husband and both stepsons, and a corsage for each mom. When you are just ordering a few really special arrangements like that, you really want them to be special - and they were. Cobblestone's designers took the information and preferences that I gave them in our wedding consult, and synthesized them into the perfect balance of exactly what I thought I wanted and exactly what I didn't even know I wanted, but LOVED. The flowers really made the wedding photos, they were a luscious pop of color and worth every penny. (I should also add though, that their prices are AMAZINGLY reasonable. I am always delighted with how reasonable their prices are. Something beautiful at every price point.) Only went in for Christmas to gawk at their Christmas trees. These people are SERIOUS about Christmas. They also allow you into the cooler where they have the flower arrangements that are awaiting pick up. We were so impressed I took a card and told the hubs that we will no longer be sending our annual mother's day flowers from 1-800 flowers we're going local from now on. Also the two owners decorate their private residents for Christmas and clearly they are people who love what they are doing. Horrible service. Overpriced I went to get a bouquet of flowers for my mothers 80th birthday today. A gentlemen with silver hair was making my bouquet with his back to the store. I young woman was waiting a long time to check out with a simple object and she was being super polite. Then an older women got in line behind her to check out with another small object. This guy never turned around. I could see that they were getting itchy to check out and didn't want to bother the gentlemen. I knew there were three other employees working, but I could not see them anywhere. I rang the bell that said "ring bell for service". Silver haired guy didn't turn around and nobody came. After a few more minutes I went out back and asked a woman if she could help. She gave me a little bit of attitude and begrudgingly decided to come out. The customers were delighted that they could finally check. After they left he gave me attitude. "Don't do that again please" I said I was just trying to help. He fired back with more harsh attitude "We know what we are doing here." I apologized again and asked him if this is how all customers. I then got the evil eye. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Needless to say I will not be spending another dime at Cobblestone. If I'm going to pay a premium price I expect quality service. I can only imagine if I had a problem. read more

I LOVE Cobblestone's flowers. There is just no other florist in NH with such unique, beautiful arrangements. The flowers are always fresh, bright, healthy, and beautiful. I have, on a few occasions, found them a little difficult to work with though. This one particular time I found that they don't deliver to Manchester. Their delivery area is apparently only the immediate surrounding areas of Concord, which is about a 15 mile radius. My mother is going in for a major operation and in order to arrange that she gets the best flowers, I will have to have Cobblestone deliver the arrangement to MY house, and then take them to CMC Hospital myself. A 20 minute trip that I now have to make myself (not that I don't want to visit my mom in the hospital; my family is currently battling a stomach flu, and with her particular procedure there is a high risk of infection), out of my way, when I would have gladly paid extra for extended delivery had Cobblestone offered it. read more

They are a little bit pricey on the designs you can order via their website (which are absolutely stunning!), but I prefer to just call and say I want a bouquet for X amount of dollars, and they make it happen. I went to Cobblestone for a consultation for my wedding flowers based on a recommendation from a friend who said they were the best florist in town (I'm new-ish to the area). The woman I met with insulted my choice of wedding colors, was visibly disappointed when I said we were making non-floral centerpieces, and actually rolled her eyes when I said we weren't going to do corsages and boutonnieres for the moms, grandmothers, and dads. She told me that hardly any flowers are available in the color I requested (burgundy). I've since done some research, and it turns out that quite a few are available. I won't be returning to have them do my flowers. I'm thoroughly annoyed that they wasted my time. read more

I ordered roses for my wife on Valentine's Day while I was away in Florida. When I didn't get some excited response that she loved her flowers I called to find out if they were delivered. I finally spoke to someone that acknowledged they had not gone out. The problem is that I ordered them a day early so my wife could enjoy them before she left for Michigan the next day. Because her flight the next morning left around 11AM, I had to call her and tell she had to go pick up her own flowers that were meant to be a surprise. The person ( probably the owner) offered to refund the 5.00 I paid for delivery. What a disappointment. Offer to enhance the $95.00 arrangement or provide a significant discount but to not even acknowledge the significance that my wife could not get them delivered to her work as a surprise was really mystifying. For someone involved in this business to fail to recognize the significance of the problem tells me they are more interested in the bottom line than anything else. This place is not only fun to visit (especially in winter, the fountains and greenery alone can cure seasonal depression) but the are not messing around when it comes to flowers. I went into my all-time favorite design center. I rang the bell as they were busy in the design area. A woman came out and in a very impatient way asked if she could help me. I proceeded to ask for Tony, who along with all other design specialists have gone out of their way to be of assistance, whether I am buying something small or a more significant purchase. She stated "Tony is at a funeral". I proceeded to ask her if she could assist me with creatively wrapping a card with money in a bag, she looked at me like I had ten heads which really put me off, no warmth, no suggestions. I left, went to another shop in Manchester and they WORKED with me to put together a beautiful box with my gift and all "bowed"up. That is all I wanted and would have gotten it had someone else come to assist me. Anyway - to paraphrase Randy Jackson, let me break it down for you on Cobblestone Designs: I ordered a nice bouquet of flowers for my mom (in Concord) for Mother's Day via the Interwebz (from down here in Texas). I had it delivered for Saturday, the day before Mom's day. At noon (Texas time) on the day they were supposed to be delivered, which has to be the second-busiest day of the year for these guys, I realized my parents were in California for the week. Oh no! My mom's bouquet was going to die on her doorstep. I called Cobblestone and explained the situation. They looked up my order and confirmed that, indeed, my mom's flowers had been delivered to the doorstep of her vacant house. WITHOUT PROMPTING, they offered, cheerfully, to 1) go back and pick p the bouquet, 2) Call and leave a message saying there were flowers to b delivered and 3) re-deliver at a later date when they got home with 4) no surcharge, no complaining, etc. THAT is customer service, THAT is the way it's done, THAT is why they will get all of my (not insignificant) Concord-area floral business from now until the end of time.
