I go out of my way to use this laundromat. Not only do I prob have a bit of a shopping problem,…read morebut I also buy & resell vintage & designer clothing online, so needless to say I tend to show up with A LOT of laundry to do. Here is my list of PROs after visiting many other laundromats prior to finding 'SUDS RVA' #1) The machines can fit up to 6 loads, so even when I came in with 5 trash bags stuffed to the top of clothes, I only needed about 1 & a half of these giant machines. (They have smaller ones down to 2 loads as well for a lower price) #2) The place is spotless! (Ive often been doing laundry when someone stops by to wipe everything down & sweep the floors. She is also extremely friendly & will have a conversation with you on just about anything, always w/ a positive attitude.) #3) they have 2 change machines so I don't have to run down the road every-time i need more quarters, AND an ATM in case I forget cash altogether. #4) they have washing advice all over the walls which has actually been very helpful in not ruining my clothes or putting in too much detergent. #5) its quiet and I can usually get a lot done while I wait, and when my clothes are ready they have carts & very long folding tables so Im able to fold my clothes into 10 different piles & then bag them up accordingly! Also theres 24/7 video surveillance to make you feel safe The only negative thing I can say is they have no hours posted, I feel I have been there as late as 11pm so maybe it is 24 hours? And also if you go on the wrong day at the wrong time the parking lot fills up very fast however I've only had the parking issue twice & Ive been coming here weekly since June. Another side note i heard from someone that the famous Bagel Beagle's mom might be the owner or manager of this laundromat so I also feel good spending my quarters here knowing they're hopefully going towards helping find lost doggies!

I would pass on the children's selection. Men's seem to be the strongest contender of sections. Everyone was very friendly, especially the woman who checked us out.

They have an amazing selection of furniture here. And some are really gorgeous finds. I've haven't been in the market for furniture when I've visited, but I usually find myself second guessing if I should be in the market for some with how nice some of the stuff is. This store is huge, you could easy spend over an hour in here just looking at everything. It is neatly organized into different sections, one corner has drawers, another has clothes, one has books, and the middle is filled with couches. You can find everything from kitchen appliances, to sporting goods, to even music here. There is a huge parking lot outside that always has parking available. Things are pretty fairly priced. I find that dresses are usually higher than I'd expect to pay, but nothing insane. Like I said, stuff is fairly priced, but not necessarily the cheapest option. In the times I've gone, the person working the cashier is very kind, asking you if you'd like a bag for your goods. I highly recommend checking out this thrift store for some cool finds.

EZ Dealz - Deals are priced based on what day it is: Fri/Sat is brand new but $10, Thursday is picked over but only $1.

That said, the key to stores like this are selection, visibility, and price, and this place is only okay in all three regards. Came here at the recommendation of another Yelper who also enjoys deals. The fact that I came straight here after a visit to somewhat-close-by Discount Depot provides a good point of comparison: while this place has a fair number of bins, you can search through everything thoroughly in about 20 minutes due to its size. While prices are fairly standard for this kind of store, they certainly did not have much on the $10 day (Fri/Sat) that merited spending $10 on. Indeed, most of the boxes here are wrapped up so tight with no labels whatsoever that you can't really be sure what you're getting at all. A gentleman informed me that you could take boxes up front to be checked, though how manageable of an approach is that when each bin has a hundred mystery boxes? A better approach would be for them to open them, write on the side what it is, and put it in the bins, though maybe that's just not worth it to them. All things considered, while I might swing by again if I happened to be in the area (especially on one of their cheaper days), it's not worth going out of your way for. If you want a much better volume of options (most of which you can actually see what you're getting), head down the road for Discount Depot. Overall: 3.0 stars ---- Pros: - Lots of parking. - Prices are great after a few days, though on the $10 days not so much. - Store interior is clean and inviting. Cons: - Boxes are wrapped up so tight you won't know what half of the items there are. - Not as much selection as other stores of this nature. - This area has some security risks, so aim to come during daylight hours if possible.
