I went in for a gel manicure and was shown a book of nail colors to choose my color from. I thought this was a neat way of choosing colors, but did not know what brand of polish it would be and I prefer OPI. I chose a color and I'm pretty sure the owner was the person working with me. When it came time to paint the polish, she went to a wall in the back and chose the color but not before asking me again which color it was...this made me feel like I was not be well looked after. The bottle ended up being an unknown brand to me but I figured I would give her the benefit of the doubt and trust that this polish would be sufficient. When she began the process of painting and drying my nails I noticed she kept adding layer after layer. Normally three is the max amount of gel layers I have received, she did at least five. Again, giving her the benefit of the doubt, I thought maybe this brand needs this many layers. Then I asked to get me brows waxed. While she was working on my brows two customers came in, since there was only one other worker there who was working with a customer already, my brows were most definitely rushed through, the quickest wax I've ever had. I paid and tipped and left. Flash forward a day, my skin was still red and bumpy from the wax which has never lasted that long and my nail polish started chipping. Needles to say, I will not go back, it could have been a series of bad choices but I'm not willing to pay for bad choices again. read more
