We ate dinner there last night and had wonderful food and a nice conversation with a Portuguese couple who were at the next table. When locals like a place you can be sure it is good and cheap. They don't make much money.
Bob had a tuna steak which came with onions and delicious potato slices. It was so much he couldn't finish it!
I chose the grilled veal steak. It was thin but so tender and flavorful I would definitely order it again. It came with a good sized salad and "chips, thinly sliced and fried potatoes.
We topped it off with 1 1/2 jarros of Sangria. So good. Total price for everything was under $40. The Sangria was Euros 11. And, of course, the 21% VAT, the tax that helps pay for their healthcare ( which is not good, we were told.)
It is located very near a square. The name escapes me but it is tourist central. One block away is this little gem. read more
