IF YOU EAT ONE PLACE IN LAMBERTVILLE/NEW HOPE, it should be D'FLORET!!! When planning our visit, I chose our dinners around this restaurant and Dennis Foy! From the moment we arrived, we were treated as special guests by Estella, (Even though it was our first time here). Most of the other patrons were regulars! Estella guided us through the menu. We started with the sautéed tian of crab and the homemade tortellini in Parmesan, garlic cream sauce. Both were spectacular, but had to say that the tortellini were EXCEPTIONAL! Definitely made with love... we savored every bite. For our entrees, bf chose the slow roasted filet and I opted for the sautéed rouget barbet... tried this delicious white fish as I had never seen it before on a menu (which Estella recommended for that same reason). Again, we both were just amazed with the flavors of the meat/fish and complimentary sides!!! As we were getting full, we packaged up portions of our meals to take home. The desserts were just as impressive as the rest of the meal. The chocolate over hazelnut praline with chocolate sauce...OMG!!! Equally delicious homemade dessert of clementine tart with gelato was amazing as well! Don't forget that it's BYOB and CASH ONLY! Unfortunately, this gem may become more difficult to get a reservation as NJ monthly review is to come out soon! We thank Chef Dennis, his wife Estella, and staff for making us family and sharing their food and hospitality with us!!! Can't wait to return!

Nestled in the suite town of Lambertville, is this lovely gem. D' Floret is quite a special place. Exceedingly gracious welcome upon entry by the hostess. The owner Estelle also extended her wonderful hospitality. Each table has such a delightful bouquet. The decor and gorgeous art display of folded silk on the ceiling was so pleasing to the eye. Artsy elegance. Very lovely vibes. The menu was one page. There were about five entrées. I love this. They take a lot of pride in their menu. We ordered the Tien for an appetizer. Cooked to perfection. Such lovely chunks of crab meat, so delicate crispiness, flavorful and beautiful too! For entrees we ordered the Faroe island Salmon as well as the tortellini. Everything was absolutely so flavorful and so fresh and so delicious. The tortellini shapes were elegant ribbons of pasta. Precious! The portion size for absolutely ideal. So very satisfying. The raspberry tart for dessert was as beautiful as it was delicious! I would definitely come back! Tip: it's cash or check only.

Very small place, so conversation not intimate. Crab soup outstanding! Tuna and halibut dishes needed to be spiced up. Disappointing.

What a find! We had a wonderful dinner at D' Floret. The entire meal was perfection from start to finish. For starters, we enjoyed the arugula salad and house made tortellini topped with freshly shaved truffle. The salad was perfectly dressed and the tortellini has the perfect balance of both delicate and decadent. Accompanied by warm bread (from Tribeca) and Spanish olive oil, which were were spot on in texture and flavor. For entrees, we opted for the rouget barbet and the bronzini, both perfectly cooked and balanced with delicious sides. Dessert was an amazing white chocolate pot de crème with passion fruit glaze and profiteroles. The service was excellent. The owners are a husband (chef) and wife (server) team, who are both very talented and know how to do it right.

Still haven't been here yet - what are you waiting for? Everything was delicious with flavors that you don't experience very often. Definitely get the Crab appetizer. Pick any fish and you won't be disappointed. The husband and wife team still make you feel right at home. The inside is small but cute - the outside very welcoming. No time for pictures with food this good.

I see this restaurant is cash only. How much cash should I bring for a party of two?

They are BYOB so based on my experience about $150-$250 depending on whether you are having a three course meal and how generous you are either tipping.

The poutine fries had this delectable salty gravy and a good amount of meat and cheese. The shrimp tacos tasted bright and fresh. Everything was delicious. Sorry we were so hungry and I forgot to take pictures! I ordered a Blood Orange margarita, which was strong but well balanced and tasted like it was made with fresh juice--it made an excellent impression! I hate margaritas made with sweet and sour mix, and I'm pretty picky since I make my own juice mix when I make margaritas at home. I was like, "There drink game is next level." So I felt confident ordering the Strawberry Rosemary 75--but it was a big let down. It had a very chemical taste reminding me of lemon all-purpose cleaner. Usually I like gin cocktails but I didn't care for the flavor combo with this one. I hate wasting food, but I could barely take a sip without gagging. It says on the menu that it's a house favorite --and that is deceiving! Lol. The service was fantastic. Food came out in perfect timing. Our server clearly saw we were enjoying ourselves and did not rush us, and instead paced our meal well. I wish I could remember his name--but he was a lovely gentleman working 5/22. We loved the atmosphere with the plants. We would totally come back! Keep up the great work!

The surf & turf was a very generous portion of short ribs and sea scallops noodles with wild mushrooms in a truffle cream sauce. We also had the sesame and panko crusted tuna entee with wasabi "air" foam. We appreciate the wonderful experience, outside table surrounded by blooming seasonal flowers and plants. Herein lies the five stars of Stella of New Hope which was a superb dinner for my wife and I on what was a lovely April night. This evening of early April was nice enough to warrant eating outside (albeit with the help of some heat lamps) on Stella's deck area overlooking the Delaware River. It's quite a calming view and definitely set the mood of the night. What also helped was some fabulous service as our waiter was kind, attentive, and gave a few great suggestions for the menu. After getting a couple of refreshing drinks (the wife did a margarita while I had the bourbon-based Stella Spritz) we headed down the food path. Those aforementioned menu suggestions started playing a role here as the waiter suggested the house-made bread, but told us we can get the brown pumpkin sage butter that's usually on top of said bread on the side (a fantastic idea, especially because my wife can be a little iffy with pumpkin/sage). Now it was a great thing to have that butter for dipping, but dang I wish the Delaware River was filled with it because that was some good spread! The wife even enjoyed it, and the flavors really complimented the warm, fluffy brioche type loaf that we consumed. For the main course, my wife got what can only be described as every onion ever (more on that in a sec), while I took the waiter advice one more time and got something I don't normally have, hence why I went for the house-made lobster ravioli. Wow were these tender morsels exquisitely delicious. The butter, lemon, and truffle found in the sauce added such flavorful notes. Speaking of flavors, it's onion time! My wife ordered the French onion pasta which literally lists four or five different kinds of onions in its menu description and really creates a wild punch on the palate. It was a little rich and perhaps overpowering for my wife to finish on her own (I can understand how it might be a bit heavy to attack for one person), but I helped to get her through most of the meal and I can't say I didn't love the onion life. Maybe it's not for everyone, but if you enjoy a good onion, get this. Overall, Stella of New Hope is a wonderful spot to dine at. There are great views, lovely service, delightful drinks, and some fantastic food worth experiencing. Not the cheapest meal I've ever had, but well worth every dollar spent. I can't say when I'll be back to New Hope, but it's not that far from where I live so there's always a chance I'll return. And if I do, Stella will be on my mind.

I found the bartenders outside to be very responsive, attentive, and helpful - I was never lacking for something to sip on. Food was not bad - we got a small spread of different appetizers, and I thought they were all pretty good. Nachos, a big taco thing, fried mac and cheese balls - decent bar food. With a name like Havana, one might expect it to be a Cuban spot, and in some ways it is (thanks again for the mojito!), but the menu was fairly mainstream. Overall a pretty good experience, I think, and I wouldn't be opposed to going again for another happy hour, though New Hope has lots of options!
