We planned for over a year, and Maggie and her team made the entire experience seamless. Even when we had to reschedule due to pregnancy, Maggie kept great communication and gave us the flexibility to plan at our own pace. We chose the Platinum all-inclusive package, which I highly recommend if you want a stress-free wedding. It included food, cake, photographer, videographer, DJ, bartender, security, decorations, and more--all at a reasonable cost. The only things we provided were drinks, flowers (optional), and coolers. All the vendors were fantastic, and the venue itself was beautiful and well maintained. We couldn't be happier with our experience and highly recommend Batres Grand Venue and Maggie!

From our initial meeting to view the venue, to discussing contest details, making selections on options and every other step, the team at Batres made what we feared would be a stressful process easy and smooth. They package services with quality vendors and allow installment payments which made payments easy. The venue is beautiful. The staff were professional, polite and helpful. The owner was responsive to questions and potential concerns. The event coordinators helped us incorporate our own personal touches to make the experience unique and personalized to us. They helped give our daughter a fabulous celebration. We highly recommend this facility for parties, weddings and similar events!

When looking for an affordable venue place, what ultimately made me decide on a different venue was…read morethe overall maintenance of the building. Perhaps it was the dark lights, the fact there were strangely placed mirrors in the entry way, or the huge crack in the stair entryway, but all of those little things and the overall darkness and colors of the wall, gave the building an apperance of a not so well maintained appearance, especially in comparison to the other Sterling locations. I found the woman who was there to be pleasant and I did like the space available as there were clear places for a cake, buffett, nice sized bar, but it didn't meet my needs. (Though the 500 discount is a nice touch.) Another concern of my future inlaws was the location. I grew up in that neighborhood, so I wasn't scared. They weren't either once I pointed out I use to eat at the Lucky Chinese buffett all the time across the street and get food from the McDonalds, but they were concerned how guests would react who are simply not familiar with the area and easily scared off. My guests are not so easily scared, but my fiancee's family would be coming from Australia, Canada, etc. so they may be weary of the location, which was another unfortunate negative. My suggestion? Remove the mirrors from the entryway, fix the cracked/missing portion of the stairs, and see about adding more lighting or possibly repainting the hall. It was difficult to point out what about it made it eh, but when you see how pretty the other Sterling Halls are, you really do wonder why this one was so poorly maintained.

I was invited to a grad party at this venue. We were at the wrong suite originally. Once we found…read morethe correct suite, we were pleasantly surprised. The outside does not justify the inside. The original suite was non descript and super small. The correct suite was spacious, with a separate lobby where they were able to set up a dessert bar and serve food. The "ballroom" was beautifully decorated. Nice dance floor and the Dj booth was raised and away from the party itself but great setup. There was a stage for the guests of honor and it too was beautifully decorated. Nice dance floor and tables and chairs were plentiful. I didn't go to the restroom but my friend said it was nice. My only complaint is the parking spots were small and cramped. I parked away from the crowd because I didn't want dings and scrapes. The area is sketchy, that's not their fault but just be aware. I would not hesitate to host a party here.

Do not look to book any event here. Very unprofessional. Rude customer service. I had scheduled a…read moretour of the venue in advance. My appointment was at 6:30 on a Thursday. At 8:26 the night before my set tour appointment I got a text message saying that they could not host my tour but that I would "be able to tour the venue on your own." That I would be provided with a code once I arrived to be able to tour this venue myself. I did text back to no reply. I had to call again around three on Thursday, the day of my appointment, to get my follow up questions on how this was supposed to work since I would be by myself and would have questions about the venue. I am planning for my wedding. At any venue I have toured never have I been notified the day before that I would not have a host. Much less THAT I WOULD BE TOURING A FACILITY THAT HAD OTHER PEOPLE ALSO TOURING AT THE SAME TIME. Through the website to bill there are different time appointments and no where did it say that it would be a group tour much less without a host. When I called again they said that they don't honor appointment time and that this was normal for them. I felt so uncomfortable with having another family there that I just left. I felt so embarrassed. This is supposed to be for my big day and no one was helpful or attentive. Not even to message me back. AGAIN DO NOT BOOK HERE.
