Abbie ended up having lifelong epilepsy that the vets attribute to poor breeding practices. On top of that when we contacted the store to notify them of the issue they offered us to bring her back for a different puppy, stating that they were unable to let us know what would happen to Abbie. We obviously kept the puppy and spent hundreds of dollars a month on high end anti-seizure medications. Abbie was the best dog we ever had, but her life ended at 6 years old because her final seziure caused too much brain damage despite high levels of medication. For the prices they charge, they should be working with reputable breeders and have their information available.
