We got a beautiful golden retriever puppy here, brought her home and within 2 weeks she had her first seizure. Abbie ended up having lifelong epilepsy that the vets attribute to poor breeding practices. On top of that when we contacted the store to notify them of the issue they offered us to bring her back for a different puppy, stating that they were unable to let us know what would happen to Abbie. We obviously kept the puppy and spent hundreds of dollars a month on high end anti-seizure medications. Abbie was the best dog we ever had, but her life ended at 6 years old because her final seziure caused too much brain damage despite high levels of medication. For the prices they charge, they should be working with reputable breeders and have their information available. read more

Anytime you adopt or buy a animal and love them and give them a good home and life you are rescuing them.

I purchased a lab puppy from them 3 weeks ago, and she has hook worms. She most likely picked them up from the breeder. She sat for over six weeks in the store unchecked and with the worms. I spoked to the owner, Dave Brill, and he was belligerent, condescending, and arrogant. He doesn't seem to care about the dogs under his care, and offered to refund me $11 in store credit for my troubles. They should not be allowed to sell live animals if they aren't going to care for them and guarantee their health. Terrible customer service! read more

I have been to Pet Palace many times to look at all the cute animals in their. They have recently changed where they are located, but where they have changed is right next door. Now the place is bigger. I got my dog at pet palace. Just that, they kinda lied to me. It was between two dogs my dog and a bichon. I picked my dog because they told me he didn't bark a lot, but as soon as we got to my house he started barking like crazy! But, I love my dog and that is all that matters. But for all I know is that pick very carefully at what pet you are getting. read more

Was there recently, and discovered that a puppy had been there for over 36 weeks, a small cocker spaniel. Was told people didn't take him because he looked sad? I can't imagine you are getting a happy, healthy dog that costs 1000+ dollars when he/she is raised from birth in a cage 24/7, never taken for a walk, sits on a grate day in and out, never smells fresh air or gets out to run. They should be shut down, or made to treat their puppies with more respect and love. read more

We purchased a Pom puppy a few weeks ago. Our vet after checking him said he was in excellent health and his staff loved him. Buddy ( his name) plays great with our other dogs and he loves our grandchildren. The Siberian Husky we found there 15 years ago is still "running" strong! BUT... I'm not a fan of the way they are caged. The Siberian had stomach issues and when they told me to call the breeder, the breeder told me to keep her water to a minimum. Once we took her to the vet we found that she had hookworm. We also bought 2 parakeets there 2 years ago and 1 has already passed. The birds were very anti-social. We have other birds we adopted and they were very social from day 1. Which points to them taking a very-hands off approach with their animals. read more

At first when you walk into Pet Palace it seems like a fun place to go to see the puppies. When I took a closer look, Pet Palace is an awful place . First off, the dogs sit in little cages all day long going stir crazy. They don't even have blankets to lay on just a metal crate. Pet Palace should be open later in the evening so that people can play with the dogs. Considering that this store closes at 8:30 the dogs have to sit in their metal crates all night by themselves without human interaction. Also, the dogs at Pet Palace are over priced and every person I knew that bought a dog from Pet Palace had to take the dog to the vet because it had something wrong with it. I have asked the workers at Pet Palace to see if a vet comes in to check on the puppies health and the answer was no. I was shocked. There are so many dog rescues around that people should save a puppies life rather then buying a dog from the pet store. By buying dogs from the pet store, it contributes to the awful cycle of puppy mills. If are thinking about buying a puppy from Pet Palace think again because the purchase of a puppy from a pet store contributes to animal abuse due to puppy mills when there are so many other options. read more
