He did recommend another company if need be. He has done everything from replacing pipes underground to just tightening something under the sink at my house. Mike even came out on New Years Eve of 2022. Called to check today if anything was leaking from what he just installed Monday. Then I realized I have never reviewed them. Instead of using elbows like the previous set up he just used straight copper so the pipes don't sit up against the wall and they are sticking out on an angle (I hope that's no issue in the future ) 2. he did not clean up after himself- he left the soldered silver pieces all over the sink. 3. He did not secure the faucet to the utility sink underneath with the screws so it was moving back and forth, 4. He unscrewed my fire alarm because the heat from soldering made it go off and he never put it back on!! 5. The left side is leaking where the faucet screws into the copper pipe. 6. He asked a "favor" that I give him 5 stars to get business with a story of how Google took down 150 reviews and he was sick last year. Now, the reason I chose him over other people is because of his reviews of " doing quality work, picking up after himself, competitive pricing " and now I feel like I got duped because I did not experience any of that , I feel like he may be a phony. Mike was nice but when I'm paying for a service I shouldn't have to pick up after you. Granted I understand maybe he wasn't small enough/ older to get under the utility sink and screw the faucet in place but he could have told me. There is no excuse for not screwing the fire alarm back in! What if I were elderly and was unable to clean up the metal pieces everywhere, screw in my faucet or screw my fire alarm back in. Of course I did not know any of this was an issue until I went to actually use the faucet - it moved forward and backward, the metal was all over and I look up and the fire alarm unplugged. This was not worth calling him back for as I could fix it and I'm not going to have him fix the leaking pipe either as I do not trust any longer.

Drive Plymouth MI 48170 on May 1, 2024. Per our agreement, your company was hired to assess my home's cooling requirements and install an appropriately sized central air conditioning unit. Your untrained technicians installed a 1.5-ton unit in my 1156 square foot home with you on the phone providing directions from a soccer game up north, this system has been an enormous problem during and after installation. The unit is too small, a 2-2.5-ton unit should have been installed in the home. The calculations for the appropriate unit were never done, this was admitted and you had provided a verbal guarantee several times that you would make this right. Now you are ghosting me and refuse to take my calls. Since the installation, there have been several issues, and the system has failed to adequately cool my home. The property consistently fails to reach a comfortable temperature, and the unit runs continuously without cycling off, resulting in an immediate and significant inflation of my monthly utility bills. To determine the cause of these performance issues, I obtained an independent inspection from a licensed HVAC professional This has been verified by Colonial Heating and Cooling and DTE, both stated this was inappropriately installed/undersized for the square footage. A Manual J load calculation was conducted, which conclusively determined that my home requires a minimum of a 2-ton unit to function properly. The independent inspector confirmed that the unit your company installed is substantially undersized for the square footage and thermal load of this property. By calculating the incorrect load specifications and installing an undersized unit, your company has breached its obligations to provide a functional, properly specified cooling system and has failed to perform services in a workmanlike manner. To resolve this matter amicably without resorting to legal action, I demand that Ed Gross/ Great Lakes Heating and Cooling take one of the following actions: 1. Replace the currently installed undersized unit with a brand-new unit of the correct size 2 Tons at no additional cost to me, including all labor, parts, and permitting fees, within 14 days of the date of this letter. 2. I had the house built in 1988 and a the furnace the builder installed needed to be replaced 10 years later. My daughter uses them as well now. They are responsive. Their service techs are also very polite, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. I recently tried to clean my drier duct and got the cleaning brush stuck in the duct and found it difficult to find someone who would remove the duct to clear it. So I called McQuade's and the next morning they had a tech remove the duct and clear it. They also cleaned it. I also found their prices to be reasonable.
