We had to return another to glaze our art which was at our flexibility. There were so many glazes to choose from too. Then after our art pieces were glazed, we picked up our art all packaged up safely. This place is perfectly located in a nice shopping center. With easy parking. It clean for an art studio. Coaches: Every single coach that has come onto the gym floor has been kind and encouraging to our five year old. When we started, my daughter was very reluctant to get in floor. Be warned, it is very loud at times. There are two open gyms, there is music playing, the sounds of children playing, coaches and parents encouraging .. it's a lot of sensory overload. But week in and week out, the coaches have encouraged my daughter little by little to join in the fun. Now, she is more confident, more willing to try new things and has even become "class captain" on several occasions. Special shout out to coach Lupita! She's been my daughter's coach from the start and the kids all love her!! Awards: KidStrong encourages "leveling up" as you progress through the classes. Cancelled summer camp at the last minute in 2020. Covid was clearly a factor but waiting until the…read morelast minute and then citing a family issue in addition was ridiculous. The sudden news came with a promise that the multiple deposits could be moved to 2021 but they couldn't afford to refund my money. Pretty awful considering I then had to find 3 weeks of summer camp at the last minute for my two children with almost no notice and down a few hundred dollars. I email immediately that I would not put my trust In them for any future sessions, no response. So 2021 rolls around and I send numerous emails requesting my refund for the previous years camp hoping they can "afford" to return my 6 deposits rather than steal my money as a punishment for their business' poor performance- nope. They do not even acknowledge my emails. Pathetic. So I can't speak to what kind of service they might provide but beware giving them any deposits Bc if they decide to cancel your service- they'll collect your money with zero regret or ethical consideration. Being involved with other dance studios, I've never seen something more selfish or unprofessional.

Since it is only about 20 miles from the bridge tunnel up the shore (one of my favorite places on earth!), we decided to check it out. SO glad we did! And since admission is free, it made the bridge tunnel toll worth it! When you walk in you are greeted by the most friendly docent who gives you a brief background of the museum and what it's about. She told us they have several films and asked if we wanted to watch any of them. We did - "Our Island Home" gives you a terrific view of what life on Hog Island was like before it was abandoned from people who were actually born there. After whatever movie(s) you want to watch, you are "free range" to explore the museum. It is SO well done. I could have roamed around for longer than the 2 hours we were there (but I'm a museum reader - I have to check out everything!). Definitely allow yourself a couple of hours to explore. The exhibits are fantastic and laid out well. All artifacts were donated or on loan from actual island families - they don't purchase their artifacts. I like that. Shows the love for the community that these people have. Definitely check out the attic! There are hands on things for the kids - it's hot up there in the summer though! I was fascinated by the twisted chimney (not going to tell you why it was built that way - you'll have to go find out for yourself!). This is a GREAT little stop if you are looking for something cool to do on your way up or down Rt. 13 on your way to your vacation or a great day trip from the VA Beach area. With all their many activities and programs, we will definitely be back!

There's also a wide range of people and body shapes. It's never usually that busy to where you can't get to the equipment you need. Their classes are included in the monthly fee. They also have a couple different pools, an outdoor water park, putt putt, and tennis courts. They have a sauna and each locker room but it's kind of small. I also wish they had a regular hot tub but they do have a small saltwater pool that is warm. They offer child care and discounts on your monthly fee depending on your financial status and if you're a city or school employee. They also have an outdoor pond that you can walk around when the wheather is nice.
