I've been a customer of Doug's for nearly a decade and I've recommended him to many friends and co-workers in need of auto repair. Over those years, Doug has worked on four different vehicles we've owned, two Ford wagons, one Mazda truck and one Honda sedan. Doug owns a small auto repair shop, so my advice is to be proactive and schedule regular maintenance. I usually call a week in advance to schedule a tune up. It was a little in the country, dark, raining, and there was absolutely no way to pull it straight out in front or back due to a very deep ravine with a lot of water in it. These guys brought their flatbed and a boom truck to remove it. They got it out without any damage to my bridge and cleaned up the road and entry before they left. VERY professional and cordial. I can't NOT believe that after being a customer for over a year, the outcome would be this. I pay…read morethe same time every month, because their due date simply didn't mesh with my bills. I was a month behind and couldn't get ahead due to my whopping 34% interest rate. (I know people with horrible and or no credit who don't even see this number) so they never would allow me to change my due date until I got current. 305$ monthly payment and a lot of times I tried to pay more, and sometimes 4$- 117$ would go to my premium. I totaled my car by hitting a deer and they said they would help me. I made two car payments in the month of March without physically having a car anymore. And then they said they would request my new loan on a Monday. They told me to call back Wednesday. So I did. The girl on the phone said we are processing your request at this moment. I'm carless, you waited 48 hours? Ok let that slide. They called me the next day and said I would have to make two more car payments (again carless, the next two payments have to be ON TIME) so I paid 303 dollars on the 25th and with this coronavirus expected me to turn around FOR THEIR DUE DATE pay 303$ more on the 2nd. 612$ in 7 days, after making two payments in March!! And then again the next month, before they would give me a loan. I don't have that extra money laying around, especially when there's a pandemic and especially when I don't have a car to get to work to get these funds. WHAT A JOKE. These people are NOT about their customers, they're about the bottom line, only!!!
