The facility was very clean and welcoming, we were very excited for our 60 minute head spa service. The ladies who gave us our treatment were friendly, however there were a few hiccups. They left the room about 10 times to get supplies and check on their kids. The kids also opened the door into the room a couple of times. There were a few parts of the treatment that were more uncomfortable than enjoyable, and they did not explain any steps of the process, the treatments or the benefits, or ask about any sensitivity or allergies. At the end our hair was quickly half dried with no product, leaving it wet and frizzy. We really wanted to enjoy our treatment and we did feel a little relaxed but it was not the experience we were expecting. read more

Relaxing, Refreshing, and Worth It -- D&V Spa, Sudbury My first visit to D&V Spa in Sudbury was relaxing, refreshing, and genuinely therapeutic for my scalp, face, and body. I booked the 2-hour package, which included a body massage, basic facial, and basic head spa--all done by Ming in the same quiet, clean private room. Ming was attentive throughout--checking in on massage pressure, adjusting water temperature, and reading subtle cues to make sure I was comfortable. Her calm presence made it easy to unwind. When the facial mask went on and my eyes were covered, I didn't see the halo hair rinses or scalp cleansing of the head spa treatment--but I absolutely felt them. My other senses took over to experience the warmth of the water, the fresh, mild scents, and the acupressure she did with her hands. My scalp felt smoother and more hydrated than it has in ages, and both my hair and face feel soft and healthy. I booked online, then followed up by phone to make sure I understood everything clearly--staff were helpful and kind. I usually enjoy Asian reflexology but steer clear of deep tissue massage, but this combo was a perfect sensory mix. I've never really had that "wow" feeling from spa treatments--until now. read more

This was kind of an odd experience. Not bad necessary but also not what I had expected. I had a 30 minute massage and 60 minute head spa treatment. When I arrived I was brought right to a massage table- this struck me as odd because I've never had a massage without first filling out some paperwork about injuries, pressure, etc. The massage was just ok- definitely not relaxing. The lights were on, and all the blankets were removed when the person who did my massage entered the room, leaving me covered in only a thin white sheet.....feeling pretty exposed. The massage reminded me more of an authentic Thai massage than a relaxing Swedish massage. Lots of stretching and a lot of pressure. The head spa portion was also not what I expected, pretty much felt like I had my head scrubbed for an hour. Expected some of that but also more massage and also thought there would be a mask or some kind of skincare, jade roller - really anything for the face, which there was not. Also, lights were still on and I could see them even though I had an eye mask. I wish there were a designated changing space, area to freshen up afterwards. My hair was partially dried and I was sent on my way feeling very un-put together. Overall, just ok experience and not very spa like. I would try another head spa, but wouldn't return here. read more

The head spa treatment at D&V was luxurious and relaxing! The room was warm and clean and had cool moon projections and calming spa music. The massage was extremely relaxing after a stressful day. The waterfall dome attachment was so nice! After the treatment she even dried my hair so I didn't have to go out into the cold night with wet hair! Highly recommend! read more

The gentleman who did my scalp treatment was lovely. He was very friendly and kind. The facility is exceptionally clean and looked well maintained. I am rating 3 stars only because this is supposed to be a relaxation treatment. I wanted to close my eyes and relax. Instead he was in and out of the room 6-10 times getting supplies and talking to someone mid session. He was also kind of rough - not in a painful way but not super pleasant or gentle either. My scalp felt clean but I could have done that myself. I paid for a relaxing treatment and did not receive that. My advice to the owners is to streamline whatever the technical process is to avoid so many interruptions during the service and second, this man might not be the best at performing this particular treatment. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect, I just knew I love the scalp massage at the hair salon and I carry a lot of tension in my neck. I had the second level head spa treatment and through January they are offering 20% off. It was AMAZING! The exfoliating scrub/shampoo/conditioner and all the products they use smell fabulous. You lay on a very comfortable massage table with heated covers. It was an hour of pure bliss! Neck, shoulders, arm/hands and foot to knee leg massage included. Blow dry at the end with a Dyson hair dryer that is a very special touch. Super clean salon. I wish Jessica and her husband all the best and much success-I will be back for sure! read more

I went for a girls' day with a friend. They took us right in, and the service was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect but we got a wonderful relaxing head wash and massage, followed by an arm and foot and leg massage. Everything was clean and lovely and relaxing. The two providers were lovely and professional. When we went to pay, I was surprised by the cost as the price would have been double if not triple in downtown Boston. Highly recommend!
