We called 5 or 6 different places before calling Tristens Towing and everyone had a 2-4 hour wait. Tristens Towing answered after 2 rings and told my husband it would be 45 minutes and the price was a lot less than what all the others were charging on top of it all. And they hooked up and were on the way to my house within 5 minutes of them getting to us! In Austin? Really? I gave up and got on Yelp searching for a towing company. Henry's was ranked number one and I totally agree. He arrived within 5 minutes to load my car and take it to the repair shop I found. He was as upset as I that I had waited 3 hours with no service from AAA. I have a neurological disease and had my service dog with me as well. Henry knows people, and made calls as we drove to the repair shop. Within 10 minutes he had arranged for AAA to pay his towing fee for me. There are few honest men who do business the old fashioned way with integrity, empathy and where their word is their bond. Even more frustrating was that the officer who stopped to "help" him and the tow truck driver acted like they were doing my son a favor by calling and providing a tow truck for him instead of allowing him to call one himself. He wasn't in a wreck, truck just wouldn't start. He asked what it cost and was told "if you have insurance then you don't have to worry about it". Then, after presenting it as "help," they hit him with contracted rotation pricing, charging over $300 just to hook up his pickup and move it into the parking lot next door. I understand rotation pricing in an emergency or urgent situation, but this was completely taking advantage of a young kid. The entire experience with them was unprofessional and disappointing from start to finish. I would not recommend doing business with this company.
