The Atlanta market for purchasing older houses is really hot right now , but tricky! You're being…read moreasked to buy homes without due diligence, or the time for a thorough and professional home inspections. Given the age of the properties, many of these homes possibly have environmental health risks such as mold or asbestos. So, for a cancer patient or someone with a compromised immune system, finding a person that really understands environmental risk evaluation/removal, and not just someone that's "certified or licensed" is a matter of life and death. THANK GOD Jon Kaplan (Inspector) was my guy! There's probably not enough space here for me to review everything that I have to say about this gentleman. He responded almost immediately. He worked diligently to fit me into his schedule, he was professional, he was patient, he did not "man-explain" to me, he was EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ON ALL THINGS MOLD. Jon did not try to sell me a bunch of services or products that I didn't need, and when I had a couple of questions he didn't have answers to, Jon was honest and told me that he didn't know but that he would get answers. Within the day he followed up just like he said he would with answers and recommendations for me. He spent A significant amount of time with me, never made me feel rushed and never looked at his watch. Even though he makes absolutely zero pay for the free quotes (nor as a referral service lol), some things I asked him about (like asbestos removal) were outside the companies realm of services, yet Jon still Took the time to research the matter - totally above-the/rim customer service! The best I can say is, If you smell something or you think you have moisture or something that looks like mold. Don't risk the health of your children, your parents or yourself. Call Jon. It cost you nothing for them to come out and put your mind at ease. And if you like me and you're not familiar with any of these environmental mumbo-jumbo, I'm telling you you want to specifically request Jon! I did some background research and found out his experience with housing and hiding places for this nasty little stuff goes far beyond his employment with bio guard. I'm telling you Jon's your guy!!!! If you're not a bioscientist yourself get bioguard to your place asap and request John as your tech!

Very Disappointed -- Poor Workmanship and No Follow-Through…read more I normally do not write negative reviews, but our experience with this comapny was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to warn others. We hired the company to perform water damage remediation and subsequently rebuild the affected areas, including installation of LVP flooring. Unfortunately, within approximately nine months of installation, the flooring began to warp, buckle, chip, and come up from the floor. This was not a minor cosmetic issue--it was a significant failure of the flooring installation. As soon as we noticed the problems, we contacted Moses, the project manager, who initially told us they would address and repair the flooring. Unfortunately, after that conversation, he stopped responding and effectively ghosted us. We continued trying to get the issue resolved and eventually contacted Rob, one of the co-owners, but we experienced the same lack of follow-through. We contacted the company within the first year, while the flooring problems were actively developing. However, we were repeatedly told that they were out of town and that they would get back to us. The delays continued, and by the time we were finally able to have the matter addressed, we were told that the flooring was out of warranty. That was extremely frustrating because we had made the company aware of the problem well before the one-year mark. In our experience, the company did not take responsibility for workmanship that had clearly failed within a relatively short period of time, nor did they make a meaningful effort to resolve the problem when we brought it to their attention. The quality of the flooring installation was unacceptable, and what made the experience even worse was the lack of communication and follow-through afterward. If you hire a contractor, you should be able to expect them to stand behind their work when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Restoration 1 of North Atlanta. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company do their research, ask detailed questions about workmanship warranties, and get everything in writing before moving forward. Based on our experience with the flooring installation and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we would not use this company again and cannot recommend them.

We called Duraclean to discuss carpet cleaning. We had pet odors and the usual wear and tear, but…read morenothing major. I spoke with the owner, who took the time (on a weekend) to explain the process to me, answer my questions, and explain the difference between his service and the service I used to use (a major carpet cleaning chain). The price was very reasonable, the reviews were all positive, so I booked the appoitnment. Greg was my technician. He was right on time, and called me 20 minutes prior to his arrival to let me know he was almost at my house. He was super polite, professional, wore a mask, and seemed like someone who takes great pride in what he does. He said he specializes in major remediation work, like after a water heater bursting. From his demeanor, he's exactly who I would call in a nerve-wracking situation like that. He cleaned the carpets in 4 bedrooms, 1 hallway, and a walk-in closet for us. Our house smells great, and it's been 2 days and we still don't smell the dog odors, so we think he really resolved our issue. I would use this company again, especially for some of our fancier area rugs, and I would definitely recommend Duraclean to anyone. I don't have any pictures to upload because staining wasn't an issue for us. But if you could smell our carpets before and after, you'd be a believer!
