Before the election I started to get very concerned, witnessing all the chaos happening in many cities. Since my sister had already purchased two guns here, I tagged along to see what the store was like. Due to Covid guidelines, you need to wait in line outside. When someone walks out you walk in. Approximate wait time was 15 minutes. The store is well stocked with anything you can imagine. The staff is wonderful and can answer any questions you have. I put a deposit down for a nice compact 380 . I then needed to wait for my BCI to clear in order to pick it up, which took a week. Long story short, I had more pressing bills to take care of so when I returned I spoke to Jonathan, the owner, and let him know I needed to hold off on my purchase. He was very understanding and refunded my deposit. I'm 100% behind 2nd Amendment rights. I'm sad I had to cancel my order. On January-14th Picked up my firearm, I purchased seven days prior. the Sales clerk Michael D 3792 Helped me to get the Fire Arm I was picking up. Everything was by the book. Michael D 3792 was very Diligent in his protocol and procedure when I was picking up the fire arm. One thing if picking up a rifle that has a large capacity, make sure you bring a mag block that makes the capacity of the fire arm 10 rounds. I suggest checking out https://www.magazineblocks.com/magento/. Having the mag block prior to picking up the rifle helps the sale and transaction go better. This helps the sales clerk and the store. Also, when picking up a fire arm make sure you bring a case to put the fire arm in. Anyway, this store has a great selection of Ammunition. Be advised on the Weekends this store can be very busy, if you can, check out the store more on the week days mid afternoon hours usually are not too busy. great store lots of things to see. read more

Horrible customer service. I stood at the desk for over 30 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. I talked to more customers than I did to staff. read more

Very knowledgeable and patient staff. We were helped by Michael and he took his time with us explaining everything and answering hubbys 536 questions. Excited to finally have exercised our second amendment right! read more

Went back a second time to look at a different gun, worker came over to me asked what I was looking for, then another work called him to help with something on the computer and he said he'd be right back, turn around and he's helping another customer. Asked another worker and he said he was helping someone else as he was just standing there the whole time I was there. Walked out at that point and haven't been back. read more

The in-demand item I wanted was in stock and at the lowest price I could find in the country, even lower than some of the price watcher websites. I placed my order late at night and had received the shipping notification by morning. They shipped via UPS 2nd Day Air for a reasonable price. I don't think I have ever received an FFL required item so quickly. I will definitely check them out for my next purchase. read more

Tis place is great. The selection of guns here is outstanding. The salesman nick we spoke to was very knowledgeable, Polite and cheerful. What a great place to shop. We will definitely go shopping here again. read more

I checked their website and it listed the primers I wanted. Just to be sure, I called and was told the primers were in stock. I then drove 43 miles only to be told they were sold out. "Sorry about that" was their response. It was my first time dealing with D&L and you can bet it was also my last. I only wish I could give them zero stars. read more

I've had a couple bad experiences here. My first was when I wanted to purchase my glock 19 I studied up and had the knowledge to know that a new glock 19 gen 4 comes with A case 3 magazines a speed loader a small cleaning kit and a lock! When I went down to D&L from what I believe the price was 525 but came with only the gun. This meant I had to buy a case to leave the store seeing as they are in a school zone! This I did not like! My second was when I needed a mil-spec buffet tube for my AR15. I called ahead to be sure they had it, the gentleman on the phone was very nice and stated they did have one he will put it aside. I drove down maybe 20mins walked threw the door, maybe 4 people total in the store I processed to wait for another 20mins to be helped! When I was finally help they guy walked from the back asked what I was there for when I said a mil spec buffer tub he looked on the wall, moved one over and stated "nah got none" I was so aggravated I didn't ask for someone els, I left the store and purchased one online! I also had a friend of mine buy a Taurus pistol from them and they also gave him a hard time about the case and magazines, the gentleman gave in and offered two magazines! Even with all this I will still give this shop a chance! I really want to like this store but it's clear stuff needs to change! read more

I made my purchase via the GunBroker interface. Several questions were answered promptly. They shipped and was picked up less than hour after payment . Thanks will do business again Walther OSP 22 short read more

Amazing experience. I honestly just love going there and seeing everyone so excited about guns! The staff is super friendly and fun (unless the phone rings non stop ). Great store, great people, great experience, they answered any and all questions I had and took their time with me. Will shop here again.

GUNBROKER BUYER BEWARE. 1 star is too high of a rating. It has been over a month and I have been given the run around over and over. When I reached out the first time they told me they had been waiting on the FFL to send paper work. He had sent it twice. When he called them he was told it had been shipped. Each time I have actually gotten through to talk to someone I have been spoken to like I'm an idiot. Most of the time when I call its a busy signal or that the voicemail is full. I am trying to cancel my order and I cannot get through to them. My FFL is now being told they over sold the gun. So we were lied to that it had been shipped because the gun does not exist. read more

Darrian along with the rest of these incredible team members were so wonderful at calming my nerves immediately after answering I was absolutely blown away. I've been in customer service since I was 14. Most of my career after graduating college was GM up to AD and it takes a lot to impress me. I purchased through Gunbroker which will never happen again. Fortunately for me this kick a** crew was so on top of things I did not have to worry at all. I live in CO I've been back almost 4 years after 14 back East and I miss it even more now. Less than one hour after speaking with this store Darrian and whomever else I was sent a tracking number via email for UPS showing my purchase being sent with arrival for this Wednesday at the location also fantastic for my FFL. THANK YOU! read more

It's terrible the worst prices I've ever seen you're much better off to go to Heritage and coins they have the best prices and they treat you with respect over there. D and l supplies when you first walk in and go up to the counter and sit down even ask if you need any help with anything they just let you sit there for 20 minutes. I mean like the Ruger pistol taking over $600 for that that pistol only goes $400 I would highly suggest going to Heritage and coin these guys got the great prices and they wouldn't want to work the deals I would not recommend any of my friends to go there read more

I have purchased from them in the past and it has always been very positive. I recently purchased a $3000 pistol. When I received it ,it was damaged. I called CZ who makes the pistol I gave them all the information and serial number, and they told me that they believe I was sold a used gun. I called and spoke to Mike the manager at D and L he told me that it was absolutely a new gun. He also told me that he would replace the part on the gun that was damaged. He informed me that he would contact the rep from CZ and get me the part that I needed. This was a week ago . I have reached out to him numerous times I called him. I emailed him. I left messages at the store for him and he does not want to return my call for whatever reason this was my experience. I would love to resolve this issue . For me to spend $3000 on a supposedly new gun and have it damaged is very disheartening. I would really like for somebody to contact me to resolve the issue. read more

The guys sadly could not be more unhelpful. Consistently frustrating either going in the store or trying to get help on the phone. Go elsewhere anywhere else, burn your wallet and slam your hand in the door. It's the exact same effect! read more

This review is from a Gun Broker transaction with this merchant. I have bought quite a few firearms from merchants on Gun Broker, but this has been by far my worst experience. I bought a H&K SP5 on 12/3. The listing description said they were ready to ship. Per the listing description.... "JUST IN 12-2-2019....READY TO SHIP." It turns out this was a lie. I called them two days later and they told me it was going downstairs to shipping tomorrow (12/5). Fast forward to 12/9, I called again and I am told they have not arrived yet due to weather and "were somewhere in New Jersey." Multiple emails were also unanswered. They finally shipped and everything was good with the package / firearm. Although I finally received this firearm and am now in possession, D&L Shooting Supplies marked me as a non payer in Gunbroker with the following comments: "AFTER MULTIPLE CALLS AND EMAILS FOR OVER A WEEK WE HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING IN RESPONSE FROM THE CUSTOMER REGARDING PAYMENT AND WOULD LIKE OUR ACCOUNT CREDITED." They never contacted me (more lies). Per their listing and exact quote: "WE ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENT OF AN ORDER OVER THE PHONE WITH A CREDIT CARD OR BY MAIL WITH A CASHIERS CHECK OR POSTAL MONEY ORDER. WE ARE NOT SET UP TO RECEIVE ANY PAYMENT ENTERED THROUGH THE GUNBROKER CHECKOUT THUS ALL CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS MUST BE PHONED INTO OUR STORE BY CALLING " Avoid this merchant....nothing but lies and trouble. read more

Gun Stores can be difficult to navigate for some folks newer to the civilian gun world. If you don't have the right "look" or outfit or appear to have spent time in the sandbox, it can be difficult to garner even the smallest amount of attention from one of the seasoned sales rep. It can feel like a good ol' boys club that you want to join, but no one will give you the password. I can tell you that Paul from D&L shattered this stereotype with me today. He took the time to compare and contrast numerous 1911's with me and really get into the nuances of what made them special. He even saved me a ton of money by remembering that they had a slightly used Dan Wesson Specialist Commander in stock off trade that saved me hundreds of dollars off buying new! I had already submitted my ppwk last week, so it went home with me today! From there he took time to get me a great deal on range ammo and suggest the perfect ammo for home defense as well, keeping in mind the possible effects of concussive forces and Flash in CQB. Paul, Thank You for your time, assistance, knowledge and patience today! I really appreciate it and would recommend any potential buyer visit D&L and seek Paul's assistance! read more

Tried to buy a revolver from D&L and was told to use Gun Broker.com Bottom line was, Gun Broker.com is fouled-up and I could not reach anyone there to help me get registered. I called D&L and explained that I'm trying to give them my business but Gun Broker.com is not working for me. (I have purchased guns & ammo online from several other companies with absolutely no issues). D & L told me there's nothing they can do and I'll have to deal with Gun Broker. I explained that I've already wasted enough time with Gun Broker.com and I don't feel like wasting any more time. I further reminded D & L that if I was physically in their store and I couldn't get any service, I'd simply leave and go to another gun shop - so why should I waste my time with their online 3rd party service provider? SORRY - NO SALE for D & L. WENT ELSEWHERE! read more

Worst experience I ever had purchasing a firearm. They sent the firearm to wrong FFL in the wrong state. Shipping is very late customer service is horrible. Will never do business with them again. read more

Worst business I have ever purchased from! If you like a business that doesn't contact you even after paying over$10,000.00 for an item, then this is the place to buy from! I purchased an item through gunbroker.com which is an excellent website to shop! D & L shooting supplies had a listing that I thought was a fair price so I made my purchase! I bought it for my son's birthday! The listing stated that it would take 7 to 10 to ship! Okay! But they never stated they wouldn't even let you know if they received your money or let you know anything about your purchase! UPS let me know on a shipping notice after 5 pm on the 10th day, like they did me. They don't answer their phones, let you leave a message or answer any text you send them through gunbroker.com! Also they don't tell you they will treat you like dirt if you finally get through after calling over and over and over almost everyday because the person that finally answered the phone doesn't work in shipping so call back later then hangs up! Like they did me! Also, if you try to change shipping from ground 7 more days shipping unless bad weather, then who knows shipping to Upgraded 3 day shipping even if you pay the cost of $202.00 more like they did me! Or even tell you as the store manager Mike, will call you back for a 3 way call with UPS so that you can get your item on time but DOESN'T keep his word, so now you can't get it delivered on your sons special day, like he did me! Than this is your business to purchase from! The price I paid in cash seemed to be a fair price in money terms but in crap and time I have spent invested just in trying to get my purchase home is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING WORTH IT! SO PLEASE BEWARE OF WHO AND WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH BEFORE ANY PURCHASE FROM THIS PLACE! I just thought about what I have been through already without being done yet and I couldn't let anyone go through what I have! Unless you like this kind of crap to happen to you! BEWARE! read more

D and L has a knowledgeable staff, great prices, and good selection. I have purchased quite a bit of reloading supplies from them, to which they always have powder and primers. They have your most common caliber and bullet weights in the selection of projectiles. The staff is awesome! They can even explain and educate you on many gun laws for the region to ensure you don't get hemmed up and are always in compliance. In just having a casual conversation, I found out that I qualified for LEOSA.. :) Like I said, good guys.. read more

D&L is basically the Walmart of the local gun world. You hate going there because the staff sucks, the atmosphere is chaotic, and it's always filled to the brim with wackos but the bottom line is their selection is the best and their prices are (usually) fair. Literally everyone behind the counter is a varying degree of douche with the one exception being George. Ask for him and expect to wait a good fifteen minutes because you won't be the only one who only wants to deal with him. He's D&L's only saving grace. They've got a great selection of used firearms and a huge selection of new firearms. read more

Great prices and selection of firearms I highly recommend doing business with them they also buy used firearms if you are interested in upgrading. read more

I have had only amazing experiences with D and L. I do not work for them nor do they "pay me off" to write this. Even though they are such a busy store their staff is always attentive and welcoming. They answer any and all questions I have and take their time with me and don't make me feel rushed. Sure, will they help someone out while you're debating or taking your time with a firearm? Sure. But I honestly prefer that than having someone standing there waiting and watching my every move. Mike, the owners son is the go-to for prices and he is honestly the busiest person I've ever met yet he has never shown frustration or annoyance. He is almost always willing to negotiate on the list price as long as you are respectful too. Don't go in trying to buy a 500$ glock and say something along the lines of "well since you have a lot of them how about you sell me one for 200$" Again, I have nothing but respect for D and L and I have referred many people to them and never heard a complaint. I'm sorry for the reviews where people claim they had bad service. All I can say is give them one more chance. Hope this review helps. read more

The reviews seem all over the place. For me, this is a pretty straight forward place. I haven't experienced rude service, but it can take a while for them to get to you at times because the place can be a zoo. One thing I learned is that you can't be a wall flower. If you sit back and hope to be called on, you'll be waiting a while. Usually you can figure out the line so stay in the rotation and you will get called on as you work your way to the front. The prices are very competitive especially when there's a sale. Keep your eye out and you can get some really good deals. read more

I absolutely feel compelled to update my review of the store. Although I feel I have had some negative interactions in the past. But my most recent trip to the store overshadows any negative incidents I've ever had. I took a family member into the store who is looking to purchase a gun as a gift,Not knowing how that would work with transfers/purchasing for someone else/legality paperwork etc. I called and spoke to Mike over the phone told him we were coming in. Later he met us when we got there and he made it the most positive enjoyable's experience that I've ever had in that store. That particular day I took several of my in-laws with me they were all met With the most helpful courteous staff that I have ever seen, including Mike. They made it a positive first experience for all of them. I look forward to future dealings with this store read more

I ordered two firearms online and had them shipped to D&L. I went into the store to fill out my background check paperwork. (Waited in a long line outside) Called after a week to see if my paperwork had cleared in order to pick up the weapons. I was told they couldnt tell me over the phone which Ive never heard of before. So I go down to the shop, wait in line 35 mins in the cold only to get inside and be told my paperwork hadnt come back yet. The first salesman told me 8 days, the second told me 14 days. On top of all the BS, they charge double the transfer fee per weapon. Big box store of gun shops. Save your money and support small shops. read more

I'm a fan, no doubt! I went in on a Saturday and it was definitely busy. But that's TBE when you've got a WAY bigger selection than most of the shops in the area. That's the bad news. The GOOD news is that there was a good half dozen employees working HARD behind the counter dealing with buyers and tire-kickers alike. I didn't see or experience any attitude; just solid sales guys walking through what people wanted. I wanted an AR, and I wasn't sure exactly which one. I had been checking out Stag Arms at another shop, but their selection was pretty limited, as were a few of the other shops I'd visited...so I wasn't sure if I really like the Stag as much as I had thought or if I was just accepting it as the best of a limited selection. Because of that it was great to see so many options at D&L. When Paul and I connected, he took the time to walk me through all of my options without trying to get my over my budget. He went from low end to the high end of my price range even thought I'd told him I wasn't going to pull the trigger (no pun intended) that day and when it was all said and done...I was filling out paperwork for my new Sig. Good guys, great selection, very positive experience. What more do you want? read more

I order an in stock weapon on 3/10/2020. It is now 4/1/2020. Credit card has been charged and no shipping data whatsoever has been provided. Multiple phone calls have resulted in no resolution. Local police has been advised. If they would simply communicate honestly and in a timely manner, they may be able to keep me as a customer. They blame it on the current Covid/Corona issue, which is understandable. I too am a FFL gun dealer and I simply cannot understand what is going on here. read more

A few months ago I did not write a flattering review based on my experience with D&L. I took another chance with D&L and this time they nailed it. Ordered through gun broker and the transaction was received the next morning. The sales/shipping department immediately contacted me to true up some additional information. The individual was very polite and professional. The tracking number was received the same day and the item was received at my FFL's shop two days later.
