By far the best gun store I've ever been to, and I've been to a ton. I'm a MA resident, but was working in RI for the day yesterday. Stopped by after work just to take a look at what they had. Great group of guys that run a great gun store. They have a decent selection of both new and used firearms. These are some of the most honest businessmen in the industry. First time gun owners need not worry. There's a lot to learn from these guys, please check your egos at the door. Matt, the owner is a reasonable guy - ask him to make a deal. Don't confuse the owner with the other Matt working at the shop - great guy too. Ford is one of the nicest guys I know that will do his best to explain the firearm you're purchasing. Chris is the on-site gunsmith and does excellent work. They buy and sell firearms. If you think they're offering to little for your gun, you're probably asking for too much! If you want Matt to go over the math with you, just ask. Military with orders to RI? You can purchase a firearm legally in the state. This shop will set you up with your new piece. Valid military ID? Receive a 10% discount on all firearm accessories. Talk to any of the regulars and they will tell you this is the best shop in Rhode Island. They went out of there way to help me! The ammo prices right now as well as the availability is a joke. I came in to see if they had any target loads for a weekend of clay shooting. The gentleman behind the counter said they were all out but told me to wait a second so he could check the back and see what he could scrape together. He was able to come up with a few boxes and sold them to me for what I thought was a great deal ($4ish less a box) then what other shops in RI were selling them for. I love stopping in to A&M. The staff is friendly, they've got a great selection of handguns and rifles, and very reasonable prices on ammo and accessories. Thus far I've sold them a rifle and picked one up - in both cases it felt like a deal. I've found some great deals on used magazines and range ammo as well. Definitely worth stopping in - there aren't many independent shops with such a nice inventory and focus on firearms and accessories these days; many shops over-do it on the soft goods but A&M sticks to the steel and lead. read more

Absolutely the best gun shop in the state. The owner Matt and his brother Adam are very knowledgeable and helpful in everything gun related. They know not only the state laws but the laws of the surrounding states as well. They have the friendliest staff that really wants to help you find what you need(or in my case just want) and aren't just there trying to sell you something. As for the store itself it's stocked to the brim! And not with just the cheaper stock the other shops in the state have. They have the best prices on not your standard guns but top level weapons as well! If they don't have it they will get it for you. Since my first stop at A&M I haven't been to another shop. Truly great service and top level weaponry at great prices what more could you ask for. I wish I could give a 6th star! read more
