They had a wide variety of stuff for sale. Some booths definitely more messy and chaotic then others. But didn't have a bad experience. The gentleman that helped check out was very friendly. And found a great vinyl collection!

There wasn't any sort of true grid form to the walkways, booths sprawled and didn't respect their boundaries. Many booths you passed by literally looked like the owner had given up on arranging their goods to be viewable and were simply cramming as much a possible in. At one booth had I not leaned over to oogle some Pyrex I wouldn't have seen the pile of vintage bags which was topped by a large Dooney and Bourke all weather leather bag. Curious I picked it up and gave it a thorough inspection, it was real. It was priced at an alarmingly strange $5. Looking through everything in the booth I realized the owner of the contents truly had no idea about brands, which is to be expected in a place where Internet is an extreme luxury. There was also a fish room.... I guess one can buy exotic and tropical fish here as well. I am not sure if it is a vendor or owned by junebugg's. You could make out several small tanks an the door has many signs stating customers may not enter alone. I went back the next day to buy the back and the clientele was frightening in the middle of the day. The woman working at the register was talking to a young man she apparently knew about how she could smell and see the meth all over him and it wasn't good. I decided not to whip out a credit card and handed over a wrinkles fiver and made my way out of Selma.

You get what you pay for. The kicker was when we realized we got a full fledged ant infestation in our RV. Luckily, I am as meticulous as a person can be, living on a brand new 35' class A w/ full kitchen while traveling across the U.S. on a food tour. Needless to say, I woke up horrified, so we made Walmart our 1st stop to pick-up foggers & traps after killing every one I could see with baby wipes, TP, paper towels & anything else I could find. My murderous rampage has me a little on edge & I am not happy about having to delay our trip while the fogger does its job & then waiting for it to clear. However, I'm just grateful it wasn't something else!!!! A flea market is held on-site every Saturday morning/afternoon. Less than 5 miles from some of Selma's historic attractions. A little noisy after dusk due to the wildlife (frogs, crickets & other night crawling non-mammals) in & around the site, but not RV AC, earplugs & your husbands snoring next to you wont drowned out. Also a group of horses just behind the site, which were not disruptive in any way. I40 is just behind the site, so truck noise begins to be apparent around 7 or 8am. All & all if not for the infestation & necessary aftermath I would have rated this place a 3 based on putting things in their proper perspective.

The eclectic antique collection and selection is mind blowing, because there isn't a vacant spot anywhere in the house. There were all sorts of vintage glassware, crystal, dishes, shaving mugs, books, hand tools, hats, jewelry, window frames, lamps, paintings and on and on. It will take me more than one trip to see and process everything in the house. And lucky me because today - everything in the house was 25% off - everything. The Gentleman Owner is a most interesting person to meet as he shared the history of the house when I asked him when the house was built. I did make a small purchase today, but that's only because I'm still trying to process everything that I saw and what I want to purchase on my next visit. I will always value my trip to On A Shoestring Trading simply because I had the opportunity to meet the Owner. Such an experience! And there's enough free parking in front of the store, but you could park and walk from the nearby restaurants. I hope you will visit this place someday soon!

Some might call that "antiquing" I just call it liking to look around old, antique-y places and such. This place is no different. There's literally stuff packed in every corner of the main level, the upstairs, the somewhat basement level as well as outside in the yard. There are plenty of windows, doors, shutters and other woodworks for re-purposing if you're into that. Most are fairly priced by comparison to other places. Overall however, the store can be a bit expensive in it's pricing. Also they only take cash or checks as forms of payment so if you're headed over here, be sure to take one or the other. Overall, great shop!
