You get to pick or mix your scent, two colors, and add in's like glitter, or poppy seed and oatmeal to exfoliate. The owners take you through the entire soap making process including lye safety, mixing, creating a design in the pan, and etc and you create it alongside their help. You can pick up soap the next day once it is set. They have much more than soap too, including laundry wash, room spray, candles, bath bombs and more.

Ferns are great plants they take minimal care and maintenance and have so many variaties. So too with the Japanese maples. I guess I like low maintenance plants. This place is a lot more than a plant shop and you could spend hours just looking at all the interesting things they have for sale. Let me say, however, bring your wallet because they can be pricey. Also be careful if you have kids with you because the shop can be crowded and things can easily be broken. The positives are that the shop layout is beautiful and the decorators took a lot of time to make it visibly appealing to the customers. And, the staff here are friendly and very knowledgeable about plants.

That proved immensely helpful because I was overwhelmed the second my feet hit the dirt! A lovely lady, Rebecca, approached and asked how she could help. She was very happy that I brought the pot sizes as well as where I intended to place them (sun/shade). In no time at all I had a wagon full and with what my friends and I purchased, my trunk space was full. Pricing is a bit on the high side but honestly, the stock is beautiful, healthy and the variety is abundant. Add in the personal attention I received and it was money well spent because a multitude of choices were offered for the specific types of plants I needed. If I wasn't really liking something she suggested, we moved on. She was so helpful! On my next visit I will take some time to browse inside the store, they had some lovely gift ideas but time wasn't on my side at that point. Such a fun outing! (As for getting there, I-65 South was fine on the way there even though a significant stretch is under construction. The return was jammed so we came back on Hwy 31. While it took longer, there were no traffic delays.)
